After doing more scientific tests on the Tesla we realize that a runaway basketball could potentially be it's kryptonite
Shopping cart: Definitely ultrasonic sensors (and not the rest of the system).
Balloons: Definitely ultrasonic sensors (and not the rest of the system).
Large ball: Definitely ultrasonic sensors (and not the rest of the system).
So, it's pretty obvoius that the car is nothing more than a dumb computer with some sensors on it.
I really like this kind of testing. Try some more? Blowing a big plastic bag infront of it. Black and clear. Run the 'shopping cart' more from the front of the car (now you did 90 degree but do like 40 degree, towards the front). Run infront of it. A child in fluffy clothes (ultrasonic have more of a struggle with fluffy stuff, like a very furry coat).
