- On September 8th, in the year of our Lord 2022, the Second Elizabethan era sadly came to an end with the death of our beloved Queen, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Great, and with the accession of King Charles III. In honour of Her late Majesty and her record-breaking reign of 70 years, I present to you this musical tribute, consisting of three patriotic hymns.
This musical tribute consists of "I Vow to Thee, My Country", "Nimrod", and the royal anthem "God Save the King" (previously "God Save the Queen").

FRANÇAIS : Le 8 septembre 2022 A.D., la deuxième ère élisabéthaine a tristement pris fin avec la mort de notre reine bien-aimée, Sa Majesté la reine Elizabeth la Grande, et avec l'avènement du roi Charles III. En l'honneur de Sa Majesté la Reine et de son règne magnifique de 70 ans, je vous présente cet hommage musical composé de trois hymnes patriotiques.
Cet hommage musical se compose de « I Vow to Thee, My Country », « Nimrod » et de l'hymne royal « God Save the King » (anciennement « God Save the Queen »).

May God bless Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Great. Her Majesty was a devoted, dutiful, and pious monarch, who served the people of the Commonwealth realms remarkably throughout her record-breaking reign of 70 years. She was a constant in our lives, and an inspiration to Canadians such as me, along with the rest of the UK & Commonwealth family. May she rest in peace, along with her late husband HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. "May Flights of Angels Sing Thee to Thy Rest".
And as His Majesty King Charles III starts his reign, we shall sing with heart and voice: God Save the King!

Nimrod is perhaps the best and most moving of this brief musical tribute. Have loved the tune since I heard it on the radio while listening to a Memorial Sunday broadcast on the BBC some twenty years ago. An appropriate tribute to those who died in the carnage that was WW 1. May we never forget, and never go down that road again.

She guided the United Kongdom through periods of triumph and times of struggles, and always did her job as best as she could.

I took an oath as a cadet four years ago to my Squadron, to my Country & to my Queen. I never thought that 4 yrs later I'd be saying goodbye to a figure I looked up to & held in such high regards. Her Majesty wasn't just a Queen, she was a mother to the people of her country and to her family & HRH Prince Philip was much more than a king consort he was a man of stature, a man with a deep respect to country & military service who showed that no matter your age you can always move with the times. My life almost exactly coincides with the reign of the great Queen Elizabeth II. I was born in 1952 the same month George VI died and Elizabeth ascended the throne.
