she's been gone nearly two weeks and the world feels so empty without her I didn't know how her death would affect me but it clearly did something to me oh how I wish I could have met her it would have been an honour of honours

Oh what do I say, it is quite hard to come up with the words to dedicate or say about the woman who knew exactly what to say at exactly the right time, whenever we needed it.
Her Majesty was the embodiment of some of the core values of strength, duty and devotion, her Majesty was warm and had a sense of humour no one could match born into a life where she didn't know what to expect but made the best of everything that came her way no matter what was said or done.
Over the last couple of years I spent quite a bit of time dedicated to learning and understanding this powerful woman, she went from being something fictional I knew of slightly to a role model words cannot describe she became a part of me she was there in times when I was struggling deeply to some of my happiest memories over the last couple of years. She was the stability I needed in my toughest times. Though she was across the world and didn't know who I was I felt deeply connected to her.
The night before she died I had dream of her it was my wedding day, I was in Scotland with my boyfriend and she was there at my wedding standing and laughing with us and though we were laughing and smiling the over arching feel of the dream wasn't that of a wedding but rather that of sadness and dread and I think whatever connection I had felt with this person half the world away tugged on my heart strings so much so that the whole day I was plagued with this feeling of sadness and that evening around 6:30pm I had heard the news about the passing of Her Majesty. Though I didn't know her the feeling the essence of who she was made a connection with myself and so many around the world. I will forever wonder if she knew how loved she was.
She was the guiding light we needed in the darkest of times she completed her duty and served our world with strength dignity and pride and may she rest in peace

We will never see somebody like the queen again! Like many of us she was the only monarch that I have known and I am an American. I have been watching her Christmas speech for lease 3 to 4 years and last year it was strange for her not to do it And for Charles to do it he did a good job, but it just wasn’t the same

My grandma died at the age of 62 from lung cancer in 1995 when i was 13. The strange thing is that the queen reminded me so much of my grandma in lots of ways. She carried herself the same and i have a photograph of my grandparents wedding and she even looked like the queen when they were both young. I know many brits feel the same. It is that kind hearted christian lady that ages like a fine wine, full of wisdom and the old fashioned stoic resolve of the typical british lady that lived through the days of Hitler's luftwaffe flying over head with not a care in the world because they knew that their Great Britain could never be defeated or terrorised. God Save the KING !!!
1 year later and the world has still not recovered.
Don't be sad she is gone. Celebrate she was there. Reunited with her beloved Philip she shall forever watch over her beloved subjects and the Kingdom she so dearly loved. God Bless Queen Elizabeth II, and God Save The King!

It's the last line of "Vow to thee My Country" that so apptly describes the reign Elizabeth II. Her ways are gentleness and for the paths to peace.

I lost count on how many times I've watched this. Mr Churchill's speech is amazing. The queen's speeches are beautiful and heartwarming. I cried all the way in Texas.
I've always wondered what it looked like as I rushed to be by my grandmother's side but not getting there in time. Seeing them speed into the gates showed me. I miss her.

An extraordinary monarch, a woman who has simply just been there, always, whether we knew her or not; she was always there at the forefront of everything, she led with dignity, honesty, integrity, graciousness and honour. She didn’t let status or power go to her mind and she served us and saw herself as our servant rather than us being her servants, Elizabeth was an honourable women who was greatly respected across the world, whether you’re a monarchist or not; she was widely respected across all countries, continents and realms worldwide. She had a genuine eye for detail and not to mention she was a very colourful lady; never a dull moment with her. Widely regarded as Elizabeth the great, something in which I can get behind, she genuinely cared about her people, many people did she meet; she would always ask questions about other peoples lives and she always wanted to learn about others, not because she just wanted to know but because she cared about other people and she wanted to understand other people too. She will be greatly missed, every Christmas going forward without her good wishes will be certainly very different. I listened to her grandfather on the wireless at his silver jubilee 1935 I listened to her parents coronation in 1937 I watched our Queens Coronation on T.V. 1953. and now Our King. ( 3 coronation ). I am 93 now so this will be the last in my lifetime.A year has passed since our beloved Queen is no longer with us.She left us with many broken hearts.the memories and tears are frequent reminders of her.Our little country was blessed for 70 selfless years of dedication.I hope Charles can give a good account of himself.

70 years! What a long and glorious time. Of course with it's ups and downs but always with deeply love for mankind. She escorted us through times of troubles and changes; from the era after WWII to the pandemic. During her reign things changed as fast as never in history before.
My dear late grandmother witnessed the beginning of this Era. And now I witness the end of a glorious reign. As a German who never knew something like a crowned souvereign a bow my head to her majesty and say thank you for leading our nations into times of European friendship.
For the last time let us raise our voices and sing from the bottom of our hearts

@@PinkPanther4958 1776 was a very different time in the world. By 1930-45 those differences were mute by then and we needed each other. The British do tradition and pageantry the best. I think most people are drawn to Tradition and enjoy Pageantry.
@@jak9955 it also stems deeper then that. As a child we are taught about the empire, our war efforts, how we revolutionised technology and how our tiny island was so mighty. We did a lot for the world and a lot of people overlook that. I know I have drifted off subject but we are a proud nation. It just seems American patriotism can diminish anything nowadays it is so infectious.

Right now we are a country being torn apart BY our Govt and there's nothing we can do about it. People have lost faith in said Govt, ALL media and our medical systems. We aren't a healthy nation at the moment. Our Govt is bought and owned by bigger money. It's not sustainable.

May the Holy Spirit of Sts. A very very different world now.We grew up with respect for our elders and respect for ourselves.it seems that has disappeared to another part of the universe.I have had a wonderful life I am grateful for my parents. mybrothers and sister .( all dead now). But I have my own family Grandchildren. and a wonderful wife. I would say I came from good old hard upland happy stock.i will say,that I am glad that I shall not have to start all over again.😊

I’ll never forget the day she passed, my mum and I were at home watching the rolling news special that was covering her late Majesty’s health. Once we saw the cars speed though the gates of Balmoral, I turned to my mum and said “I think this is it.” A few minutes later the BBC breaks the news of her passing. We looked at each other in shock.
