As King Charles III release his royal cypher, the Coat of Arms has changed, St. Edward's Crown changed into Tudor Crown, because Tudor Crown is symbols Masculinity, and St. Edward's Crown symbols Femininity, the difference is in the arches
Incorrect. It is certainly commonly perceived in that way in modern times but many people do forget that the image of the Crown was only first stabdardised in 1901 after the death of Queen-Empress Victoria. Under her successor (King-Emperor Edward VII) law had estabilished for the first time how the crown was meant to be drawn and depicted. Images of the crown before 1901 are assumed to be images of Saint Edwards Crown where the arches are depressed, however that is also untrue. They are in fact depictions of the State crowns of previous monarchs. For example, the crown as shown from George 1 to at least Victoria were most likely to be depictions of the Imperial State Crown of George 1. Note that that crown is different to the present Imperial State Crown, whose design was made for Queen-Empress Victoria. Indeed, after 1877 at least, the crown had been primarily depicted with full arches instead of depressed arches. Such a design was kept after she died, was standardised and termed the 'Tudor' crown for its similarities to the physical Tudor crown created for Henry VIII. The image changed with Queen Elizabeth II due to personal preference and as such, after her death, it has been reverted back to its proper form. Another feature of the coat of arms to had been change with her accession was the depiction of The Harp in the third quartering of the shield. Traditionally it is depicted in Angelic form, however Elizabeth II had changed the design to a Celtic Harp due to personal preference. This is one detail that has not been reverted to its proper form on the coat of arms, possibly as a nod to the former Queen.

@@gillesblanchard1699 Handel was in England when he wrote this song for George II, in celebration of his victory over Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1745. He may have stolen the ideas for God Save the King from Lully, but Lully's music was based on the composer John Bull, who composed the instrumental version during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. While the date of the music is unknown, it is likely that Bull wrote it in 1588, after the victory over the Spanish Armada.

It is so weird hearing God save the Queen as I’m Queen myself but I can see why Woody.EXE prefers saying Queen because king sounds weird to him since he is one, he rathers singing it to me his Queen instead because it sounds better. I love the national anthem anyway
Yes, and I am still puzzled if when King Edward VII and King George V had it played it three times when they had summit meetings with Kaiser Wilhelm II of Prussia and Kaiser Franz- Joseph of Austro-Hungary whose anthem it also was, not to mention Czar Nicholas II!
I always sing it proudly during Remembrance Sunday services in November and this is how those who died in the war should be respected. It hurts singing God save the king knowing that Charles isn’t well but me and Woody.EXE continues to wish Charles well during these difficult times
Also missing: it was a popular (music hall) song from the time of the Jacobite rebellion, when many people thought that the Jacobites would win. @@neilraymond5914 - GOD SAVE THE KING” I am always bewilder hearing this anthem « Grand Dieu sauve le Roi », that was compose from a poem of the la duchesse de Brinon, music composes by Lully in 1686 to celebrate the successful surgical intervention on Louis XIV’s fistula! It is believed that it was pinched by Haendel when he hears this hymn preform at Versailles!
I love seeing those old victorian films!
心より感謝申し上げます
You showed VICTORIOUS Kings and Queens. Our anthem - born in the Seven Years War - inspired us to victory over our enemies, Louis IV, Napoleon, Kaiser Willem and Hitler. But in 2020 WE WERE DEFEATED, not by an external enemy, but by an INTERNAL ONE. Our Nation and its peoples suffered a worse defeat than at any time in our History - WE NEED A NEW ANTHEM.
Так было в 1917 в России
@@user-sr5lw3bv9It will be, always, until Russia stops electing 'strong man' leaders.
Gods bless the Russian people, that they may one day have peace.
It is a beautiful and mighty nation.. Gods bless Olga of Kyiev and Vladimir the Great.
Love n Respect from India 🇮🇳🤝🇬🇧
So glad that our only King is in the heavens, all others are false. 🙏🏼
King George VI earned his place up there with his daughter the Queen. I bet he would have been very proud of her
God save the King! Long live The King! Oh God we really need you so much at this point to save The King. Amen.
🇬🇧 great 👑 job 🇬🇧 Queen 👑 Elizabeth 🇬🇧 👑
Two years on and I still miss my Beloved Queen Elizabeth II. I bought a 1953 Bentley after her death and it's dedicated to her memory. I like H. M. King Charles III, but miss my Queen. She'll always be my Queen even though I live across the pond now. God Save The King! 🇬🇧
It’s amazing that Woody.EXE (Toy Story) and King Charles started their reign on exactly the same day. I have met King Charles 2 years ago and honestly he made me laugh so much when he joked about Woody.EXE not being with me but Charles wished us a healthy long reign and then we were both deeply saddened by his cancer diagnosis in February this year. I’ve not even wrote to Charles yet
That Version of George VI reign gives me absolutely chills. Where can I find it? Thanks.
Great video, but why did you remove the Hanoverian coat of arms fr William IV. He was very much a part of the house of Hannover
Mistake on my part, was using the coat of arms for Great Britain and the United Kingdom alongside and for the United Kingdom I made Victoria’s before Williams, and used the Victorian arms in mistake
The British Monarchy is a national treasure adored and admired worldwide.
it's just amazing to think Elizabeth reigned longer than all the other kings on this list put together! She truly was amazing.
What is the name of the piece of music that serves at the title music for this video? 0:01
I think it's "Rule britiania,Britiania rule the waves"
They said it was “Land of Hope and Glory” in another comment section, iirc.
He saying Patrotic songs hymns and more!
R.I.P
King George III
King George IV

God Bless & Hold H. M. Queen Elizabeth II in the palm of His Hand & give Her Peace!! 💔 ✝️ 🇬🇧 😢
I was born in Rome, Italy, then when my paternal grandparents & paternal family went to the States, my maternal family stayed in the UK. My maternal grandfather served in WWI with H. R. H. The Duke of York (H. M. King George VI) & in WWII. He was Lt. Col. & was in the Armed Forces from 1917-1950, so my maternal family, mum, papa & I went to the UK for my schooling. After, my parents went to the States, I was alone after my grandparent's deaths. I finally went across the pond, but my heart's Loyalty lays with H. M. Queen Elizabeth II & now with H. M. Charles III!! I adored Queen Elizabeth II & a piece of my heart went with Her!! 💔 😢
Requiescat In Pace Ultima, Elizabeta II Dei Gratia Regina, Fidei Defendorix!! 😢 💔 ✝️ 🇬🇧
God Save The King!! 😊 ✝️ 🇬🇧 👏

GOD SAVE THE KING!!!
R.I.P Queen Elizabeth😭😢😭😱😭😖😭😞😣😖😓😞😣😖😓😖😖😥😢😭
As an American I'm not a big fan of King George III 😅 However, I respect the British monarchy in general, especially Queen Elizabeth II. She was a nice lady :)
This melody was in Austro-Hungarian empire till 1918 and then over to United Kingdom, when Austrian empire was destroyed, you can check it.
whats the name of tje song from the introduction
Great video, also what is the song played on your intro?
Rule Britannia
Edit: I was half asleep when I wrote this, it’s lad on hope and glory’s first verse
@@Imperial_Britannia Oh okay
@@Imperial_Britannia are you sure that is rule Britanna.. It doesnt sound like it and Shazam doesnt recognize it. Where can we get the full version?
doing some research.. thats land of hope and glory, not rule britannia.. do you know wich version you are using and who preforms it?
they were half asleep while writing the comment@@DmazBoston
In my humble opinion, the first version is the best, the most moving, the most human. With that ending GOD SAVE US ALL.
I am in no way a fan of the British Empire, being a person of color, but this is interesting and cool to see the evolution of the song.
That God fellow was listening intently when Elizabeth II reigned. Long live the Queen indeed.
R.I.P Queen Elizabeth II
I love the the 'r' trill in the 1801 version
Lots of old images of London in there, and one of Glasgow’s George Square….I wonder if someone thought it was Trafalgar 🤔
NGL. This was a clever marketing jingle that family came up with
Rip Queen Elizabeth- saying this 3 days before her 1 year anniversary after her death
Me and Woody.EXE also celebrated one year of our accession to the throne in Wales on Friday 8th September 2023. It will be one year since I nearly died on February 14th, 2024, the day me and Woody.EXE start our jubilee year as we approach our 2nd anniversary
God save the King 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Great country and great song!
“There will always be an England”
“There will always be a Britain “
George VI's version is outstanding; what a glorious version.
It is so weird hearing God save the Queen as I’m Queen myself but I can see why Woody.EXE prefers saying Queen because king sounds weird to him since he is one, he rathers singing it to me his Queen instead because it sounds better. I love the national anthem anyway
The og version was dope
British Australia forever!
🏴🏴🏴🇯🇪
Interesting to hear how the last line has changed how its pronounced.
Anyone know the brief song that plays in the intro?
I love and respect the United Kingdom from Japan 🇯🇵🇬🇧
Thank you,
Island Nations unite!
Loved the Edward VIII parts
I see the version used here for Georges I-III omitted the "rebellious scots to crush" verse...
That verse was never a official part of the anthem
❤God Save The King ❤
I'm from germany and I loved this anthem.
This is the best national anthem of all time. The voicing and melody are always holy and noble, calling the highest form of energy from God.
I always sing it proudly during Remembrance Sunday services in November and this is how those who died in the war should be respected. It hurts singing God save the king knowing that Charles isn’t well but me and Woody.EXE continues to wish Charles well during these difficult times
09:20 is it Indonesia flag?
I think this is canada flags
God Save The Queen is the best version of God Save The King
Love the British Empire from the former American Colonies
Also missing: it was a popular (music hall) song from the time of the Jacobite rebellion, when many people thought that the Jacobites would win. Hence the verse about rebellious Scots and General Wade:
Lord, grant that Marshal Wade
May, by thy mighty aid,
Victory bring.
May he sedition hush
And, like a torrent, rush
Rebellious Scots to crush.
God save the King.
Rip queen Elizabeth ll 😢 king Charles iii is king!!!!❤
prior to 1745 Heil dir im Siegerkranz was the National Anthem of the German Empire. It was stolen in 1745 to be the National Anthem of the Kingdom of Hannover and England
Surely there was no German Empire until 1871?
3:31 sounds like Kenny McCornick XD
Have you noticed...the third and last line are God Save our King?
