- Hey you guys! Mia and I absolutely loved reacting to Nirvana! Kurt had a voice so raspy and unique it was an honor to listen to it! We felt a connection to the song and it really touched us! We were so stunned and Nirvana deserved a standing ovation! We had so many requests to do Nirvana we just had to react to them! The powerful vocals just crowded our ears and there were fully welcome! The guitars and bass were incredible! It all tied down at the end and the lyrics were connected tot he the music beautifully! if you'd like us to react to more Nirvana definitely comment down below! Remember to stay safe and stay tuned for upcoming videos! We love you guys!

MTV nirvana lithium early 90s.bass player smashed on the head when he threw it in the air. Kurt smashing drums. Classic mtv
Love that performance and especially the hi axel hi axel lol
nirvana is one of the best bands in history 👏🏼
I was at this show. Great memories of the Pacific Northwest music scene in the 90s! Thanks for reviewing ladies!!!
@lucky charm Yes! I thought exactly the same thing.
Great reaction as usual 😃✌🏻Nirvana was an amazing band, RIP Kurt 👼 it's sad that all the biggest singers of the grunge movement except for Eddie Vedder are all dead 😟 anyway have a great weekend and keep rocking hugs Mia & Juliet!!! Lots of love from Argentina.
Thank you as always Sebastian !
Finally!! I love It girls!!
Please react to heart shaped box by Nirvana!
Great job with your reaction to Lithium from Nirvana .
Thank you Eric!
@@danasfaith5738 Your welcome
More NIrvana please. So much more Nirvana.
The fourth guy on stage, with the short blonde hair, is Pat Smear. Pat was a touring member of the band, and session guitarist, and later member of Dave Grohl's Foo Fighters. Pat is considered by many to be the (unofficial) fourth member of Nirvana.
Thank you!! I didn't k non ow, and it was making me crazy.
David Grohl, lead singer of the Foo Fighters on the drums....A great talent in his own right.
Dave Grohl started Foo Fighters about 25 years ago. He sang and played all the instruments on the Foo's 1st album too!
Love your reactions! You gotta listen to more Nirvana as all of their songs are legendary! RIP KURT
It makes me happy that you girls enjoyed it. I love Nirvana growing up.
Great singing, Mia, and I know it was hard to refrain from jumping. I think you girls definitely would’ve been at a local Nirvana show back in the early 90s. Great song choice! Juliet, you expressed very well about the lyrics, their meaning and how they connected them to the music. Another fun reaction, thanks gals!
Thank you so much Michael ! : )
It's a thin line between pure genius and the demons some artists have in their head
Ask layne staley about this. I remember something in a book:"sometimes the prettiest flowers grows out of nasty manure" or something between those lines, the point is that you can sublime the ugliest things in your life to pure art and beauty
Addiction is to blame for some of the best songs ever written kinda sad
@@edwardomunoz9299 exactly right, 'tortured artist'.
Smells like teen spirit by Nirvana is a MUST!
OMG.....loved your reaction and comments on the song and video. I will admit, it took me some time to become a Nirvana fan. As I listened to more of their music, I became hooked. Sad that Kurt Cobain passed away at the age of 27. I was in my car driving to work when I heard of his passing. Way to go girls....another fantastic review, as always. I think we have two new Nirvana fans in the house! Lol....the end of your video was priceless! And the musical journey continues.....can't wait to see what is next! Continue staying safe! Love and blessings. 💖
LOL! Thank you Suzy! We are happy that you like our reaction! Mia and I definitely love Kurt's voice! Nirvana was a great band! It is unfortunate about Kurt! : (
@@danasfaith5738 I loved your reaction video....two thumbs up once again. Kurt had so much talent . I knew you and Mia would love Nirvana. Glad your dad was able to fit them in....finally....lol. I just love the two of you! Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Can't wait for International Monday! Love & Blessings! 💖
@@suzycanusazep-girl6845 May you have a great weekend!
@@danasfaith5738 thank you! 😁💖✌
The studio version is great
Yeah the double tracking of the vocals and the layered guitars really bring out the genius of the song.
Nirvana were incredible absolutely incredible. Kurt Cobain was a true artist you should do more reactions to them
My Favorite Nirvana song is Heart Shaped Box
Great job ladies !! Kurt was musical poet and would have done great things for music !!
R.I.P. Kurt
I love watching teens react to what I was watching at that age. I make sure that my kids know all of these artists and appreciate them. Nirvana is their favorite.
Alice in chains, mad seasons, temple of the dog, Soundgarden
Great choice ladies!!! Stay safe!!! Yeeeeee!🌹
Thank you ! You too Kevin!
This is the best Song of Nirvana by far, in my opinion
You're not wrong
You're not right either. It's a question of choice.
I love this song, but it's not my favourite.
I miss Kurt So much. :(
I love these girls.
Aww! Thank you Tase! You are too kind!
One of the greatest bands of all time! Such talent and such tragedy. You must react to “Smells like teen spirt” if you liked this song.
Hi girls, Nirvana was a great band but the whole band was Kurt Cobain who sadly took his life, supposedly, 4/5/1994, but through his Music he brought out all his problems, feelings and life experiences. If you watch Netflix there are movies about him. The Music was called "Grunge" ,which he didn't like, but he felt his songs where the style of soft, loud and soft which he showed it in this song. The Drummer is Dave Grohl who started The Foo Fighters
Thank you for your information Tim! : )
Hey guys, hope y'all remember me! You guys are doing a great job as a reaction channel. I've been with you guys since before you have even 20k subs. You guys deserve way more! Love from Texas
Hey Aldo! we missed you! We hope all is well with you! Thankful, we are now at 33,000 which is a lot ! right? LOL! Glad to have you back!
Great review... "texture" was the perfect word!!! You Two Are The BEST!!!! PEACE.....
aww! Thank you John!
Girls, you did it again. U2, Metal Church and now Nirvana . Fantastic. So different but all great bands. Bravo on your choices and your critiques. Nirvana unplugged album is a must listen. Beautiful but heart breaking at the same time.
Thank you Steve!
Y’all should react to endless, nameless Nirvana live at paramount
It’s cool and all but shouldn’t be their second listen if the band. It’s art noise used at the end of a performance while smashing their instruments.😆
IMO, they should react to negative creep
True story: teenage girls can decipher any lyric with 2 or 3 listens. I am not skilled in that way.
LOL!
I was just thinking yesterday "man it'd be cool if these girls reacted to nirvana" and here we are lol. You need to do more nirvana 👍
LOL! \m/
The guy going crazy on the drums is Dave Grohl. His new band is the Foo Fighters. Check out, "Everlong." ✌❤🌹
Heh. His new band.
Or hero
My Hero is a good place to start with them.
GREAT REACTION, GREAT VIDEO AND GREAT SONG.
Thank you Caladonian 24!
Been out of YT for a while. My partner has been nagging me saying I am addicted. Haha. Anyway, another great choice of song and band. Your reactions tell us all about your feelings. Keep your eyes and ears open, there's so much more for you to discover. Good job and Happy New Year to you and your family.
Hey Paulo! Welcome back! LOL! Happy New Year to you and your family! LOL! \m/
One of my all time fav songs. Lithium is a metal most commonly used in batteries and as a medication to treat bipolar disorder and major depression. It should only be used in extreme situations were other medication does not work as it has serious side effects.
Hey mmaarrttyy123! This was a great song! Wow! Kurt's voice!
Most other meds for bipolar disorder can also have serious side effects. I was 25 when this Nirvana performance came out and Lithium Carbonate (the form used for bipolar disorder, often long-acting) was a first-line treatment. I've taken Lithium Carbonate for bipolar disorder nearly 30 years now and it saved my life. I was on other meds for 15 years prior and everything about most others took a horrible toll (physically, suicidal thoughts and actions). Thirteen years later my son (now 30) was diagnosed bipolar and after his doc prescribed the "newer" drugs like Depakote (bad idea), Lithium has also been his best treatment with the fewest side effects.
Lithium is also the third element on the Periodic Table of Elements, and classified as a "metal", as with sodium. ln context of the Nirvana song, this is right, as ,chemically, it is as volatile in the song's moods as the element is.
Check out Where Did You Sleep Last Night from Nirvana Live In New York. It was one of Kurt's most powerful and emotional performances.
Kurt took that Blues song and made it into a haunting, emotional masterpiece
I love your reactions to nirvana, please do more live nirvana reactions, PLEASE!!!! You guys will love everything they did. All the 90s grunge bands are amazing and should be a mandatory listen lol. But seriously nirvana was HUGE!!! Like how Billy eilish is now, but there was no social media and very little internet if at all. They made it off radio and touring. Alot of people don't talk about that stuff but yeah I'm rambling, see how you picked up the chorus by the end of the song? That's Kurt's genius knowing how to write catchy songs. Like he said he writes like they are children's songs that you don't ever forget. Got a sub from me.
Thank you James for all of your lovely information! And welcome to our channel! : )
@@danasfaith5738 thank you for doing your reactions. It makes us all feel like we're hearing these songs again for the first time. Kurt Cobain changed music forever, try to go back and watch a few of the live shows that are on you tube and really get a feel for all there amazing performances. If you can it would be awesome to see your reactions, but either way I promise you'll love them forever after.
In case you didn't know, the drummer is Dave Grohl, when Nirvana split up he formed Foo Fighters n he's still rocking to this day 🤟🏻
Um... I wouldn't exactly call dying splitting up...
miss u kurt so much 😢
Que sorpresa chicas es hermoso verlas reaccionar a Nirvana las quiero abrazo desde buenos Aires Argentina
Muchas Gracias Lucas! WoW! Nirvana era una banda grandísima! Que lastima que se nos fue Kurt!
@@danasfaith5738 así es hermosas
I wonder if they noticed the guy from the Foo Fighters hiding on stage.
This concert was recorded on Dec. 13, 1993, the lead singer Kurt Cobain took his own life not even half a year later, on Apr 5, 1994. React to Smells like Teen Spirit. And Weird Al´s spoof of it, Smells like Nirvana ;)
: (
Idk if you guys are gonna reply to this, but I’d listen to Negative Creep to get the full dose of their sound
Hey girls check out the drummer and then take a look at Foo Fighters😉
also the guitarist Pat Smear.
Next do Alice and Chains or Soundgarden. On 2'nd thought, just do anything. All music's great!! YEE!!
LOL! Thank you Shawn! : )
Alice in chains junkhead
@@sidvicious7452LOL. I'd go with Them Bones ta start. Start with suicide then move on ta heavy drug use. Hmm, guess it does seem backwards(lol).
Yes, all music is great if you like it and it moves you.
Rooster
Good to see the younger generation can still appreciate Nirvana. Great video 🙌🏻
good music never goes out of style
Mozart is still played hundreds of years of later
I love how they both have already started reciting the lyrics
Girls, you guys don't know how HUGE this band was. When they dropped thier first song. ( Smells like teen spirit) It was like a bomb went off. They went from nobody's to literally the biggest band in the world overnight. It was amazing to witness. Ask your parents about it they'll tell you. If you haven't, do smells like teen spirit cause the world changed after that song dropped. Even though lithium is my favorite song by this band.⚡
not to be a stickler, but Nevermind (of which Teen Spirit is the first track) dropped in mid-1991. Nirvana's first LP was Love Buzz, a cover of the Shocking Blue song, in 1988. Nirvana's first proper album was Bleach, released in 1989, two years before Nevermind, and that had a couple of singles that received airplay on college radio, including "About a Girl" and "Sliver." Sliver actually was featured on MTV, you can find the video on UA-cam. Many fans consider Bleach their purest album. That said, Nevermind was the first big label release (Geffen) and the first with Dave Grohl on drums. However, if you overlook Bleach and the early LPs you are missing some really good stuff.
Just search the Greatest Band of the 90's and the picture of Nirvana is always at first.
@@QuakerPop
You are right friend. But Bleach never got national airplay until nevermind broke. Yeah, I suppose they were Around so to speak. But they were a local Seattle band. Nevermind was thier first major label release and that was when they dropped their first single for international consumption if you will and that was what I was referring to.
Brought back a whole trend of rock - Grunge. A dark sound. Glad you enjoyed. How bout.. Some G n R "Sweet Child of Mine"? The 90's.. Would love you to compare these two bands.. Love the standing ovations!
Hey Kat! Unfortunately we have heard Sweet child of mine and we can't react to it! we also know November Rain and Civil War from GNR! : )
Well I am trying to back track your reaction was & catch up. I 'm going to search gnr up. Can't wait to see your reaction. Keep rockin & much sucesd
You have found another band, that you will love every song.
More nirvana pls
The Man who sold the world, please!
Please react Where Did You Sleep Last Night (Nirvana)!!!!!!!!
I live watching reaction videos and you guys are absolutely fantastic at it!! Keep up the good work!!
You guys are getting into this music at the same age I was back in the 90's when it was my world. I still love all the Grunge Era heroes
A FEW months later, he was dead :( RIP
Welcome to the Grunge era of music, and no one did it better than Kurt Cobain and Nirvana!
You may notice the incredible drummer Dave Grohl in the back. He went on to be in several other major bands. Look his songs for spngs similar to this group. Kurt Cobain's wife, Courtney Love had a band called "Hole" that was grunge too. Try out the band "Garbage".
I'll bet you two are constantly educating your friends on good music.
LOL!
Yeah, Nirvana!!!! So great!!!!
I love NIRVANA ❤️ 🤟😋
Todavía recuerdo cuando la noticia de que Kurt se había suicidado. No me lo podía creer. El mundo ha estado más solo desde entonces.
Que tristeza! : (
That bass from 6:25 or so. He looks like they got an unusually tall class clown to badly impersonate a bass player but he has serious chops.
Love how Loud and live Nirvana was...
It's awesome kids getting into Nirvana. They will last forever.
Another suggestion Nirvana -Drain You
Yeah
Drain You is a masterpiece.
I love nirvana forever
I hope you girls have listened to Helter Skelter from The Beatles. In case not, you MUST. This is the song which inspired to groups like Led Zeppelin or even Nirvana to make their music. It was composed by Paul McCartney in 1968 before hard rock, heavy, punk or grunge even existed. Check out here: ua-cam.com/video/vWW2SzoAXMo/v-deo.html
Exactly !!!
Thank you Otto for your information! : )
This is IMO the single best version of Nirvana's Lithium!!! Thx girls! 🤙
Nirvana songs live are the best . Come as you are, drain you, inbloom are a must to listen to
Check out the song Blew from the same concert they performed. incredible performance
Seattle is kurt born
HEART SHAPED BOX!!

LAKE OF FIRE!!
WHERE DID YOU SLEEP LAST NIGHT!!
DO IT!!!
Also, mad respect for having Slayer, Metallica, and White Zombie on your wall.
Serve the Servants, Breed, .....:(
Ewww smells like teen spirit ;c why not suggest bangers like drain you or come as youare?
Yes, "a texture" definitely makes sense. Good off the cuff description of his voice. Bit of grittiness to it, huh?
Radio friendly unit shifter at this same show opened it. Really great way to start the show. Great live song. Give it a go
Texture makes perfect sense musically, honey. Great video by you guys!
Thank you Caio!
Loved Your Reaction. Love Nirvana. You both harmonize Great! The Drummer as I'm sure you already know went on to form the Foo Fighters, which I'd love to see you react to. I really hope one day you can react to Def Leppard. Whoever you react to, I'm hooked on your channel. Love all you do girls. ⚘⚘😊😊
Thank you so much Mark for your kind words! Thank you for liking our channel! : )
niceeeee!!!! we were so young (high school).....nice work...rock on girls!!!!
Nirvana is cool 👍
That is Dave Groll (who later formed Foo Fighters) on the drumms, in case U missed it.
The name is "Grohl". We know that
And Pat Smear
QUEEN Somebody to love live 1981 in Montreal Canada. Awesommmmmmmmmme!
If you liked this song, you might like "Aneurysm" also by Nirvana.
YES, but must be the live version off of Wishkah, not the studio version. I usually prefer studio for fidelity, but not on this track. Unbelievable
RIP Kurt.
I got to see them when they, and Pearl Jam, opened for the Red Hot Chili Peppers here in San Diego. They blew everyone away!
Sounds like a great concert!
@@danasfaith5738 It was awesome! And I still have the bootleg t shirt that I bought in the parking lot somewhere around here! LOL!
Holy shit that’s amazing
@@mypl510 LOL! We need to buy some Nirvana songs! LOL!
Nirvana will continue to blow ur mind with their transitions! Kurt is the GOAT
I love Nirvana
No one does reactions on nirvana first album bleach. Try negative creep or love buzz.
I know right? Don’t get me wrong, I like Nevermind, and In Utero, but for reactions they’re just so damn overrated, when reacting to live videos they usually have ‘Lithium’ ‘Breed, ‘About a Girl’ or just stuff from Unplugged. In my opinion, if people want to Bleach to get reactions, they should just request for them to react to the album
I get happy seeing the friendship between you too!
The drummer Dave Grohl is now the singer for the Foo Fighters and they have a lot of great songs.
You two were right on with the lyrics and catchiness of the melody.Kurt had an interesting voice and a lot of good lyrics . Check out the Nirvana official video for "Heart Shaped Box".One of their best.
I wonder if the younger generation knows that the drummer is Dave the singer for Foo Fighters
The drummer is the lead singer of the foo fighters
