Paramount or live in New York first?
paramount
Paramount homie🔥
Paramount 1991. That performance was Nirvana at their PEAK. Watch the videos associated with it, they're great,
Paramount
this is a bit of a stupid question but you are going to watch the performance instead of listening to it right?
Kurt was right when he said people would misread sliver as silver
Daedass intill I watched this, this song was silver to me
Come on Unpluggeeeeeeed
I was just about to suggest it! I feel like it's a great way to understand the band more personally
With The Lights Out
Or the B-Sides
Showing people who only like “smells like teen spirit” “hairspray queen” and see in their reactions when you say that’s the same band is hilarious
i dont even like teen spirit but hairspray queen is just hard to listen to. i like the riff but the vocals just aint good 😭
@@OrgnnCantSpellCanHe that’s perfectly fine. I learned to like it over time but it’s not for everybody lol.
It takes a lot of listens to realize how great it is. Same with beeswax
I absolutely hate hairspray queen but showing it off to others is always great to see how they react
-Aero Zeppelin = Aerosmith + Led Zeppelin inspired song
-Big Long Now apparently is about alien abduction, and it’s called like that because Kurt couldn’t came up with a name so Chad Channing just said "call it big long (the song) now (the we are playin right now) lol
Also I recommend you listening to You Know You’re right after you listen or see everything you wanna hear and know about the band. It will give extra flavored emotion to the very end to this amazing band.
"Shoot the shit" is an American colloquial expression meaning "to talk"
Turn around is a cover originally by Devo by the way.
I’d love to see him watch devo

8:42 he did not, he in fact was very feminist in his nature, he had two girlfriends, and one wife, that is all.
33:58 they only had one bassist in the band which was Krist, im not entirely sure if there were some other very temporary recruits at times but by any stuff you can find after the fecal matter demos it's always Krist.
most underated album of the most rated band of the 90's, fucking awesome album, raw, punk, poetic.
it was Steve Albini who passed away, not Jack Endino
By the way, the Blew EP is a seperate "mini album" (EP= Extended Play)There are two EPs, Blew and Hormoaning. Hope this helps
I second that Unplugged comment. Take in Nirvana acoustically with some of their songs and some covers. Classic performance.
this was my introduction to nirvana when i was like 5 years old. my mom was crazy enough to let me listen to this stuff as a child. still one of my all time favourites.
Stain was in fact recorded "in a fucking garage" funnily enough
By the way in my opinion Sliver is supposed to signify how Kurt bounced around from home to home as a child “Grandma Take Me Home” signifies how his parents put him at his grandparents doorstep after his parent’s divorce, just to be passed right back hence the line “I woke up in my mother’s arms” signifies the reclamation of Kurt by his mom who he wanted to be with but rarely ever got to be around or live with.
ThIs is my absolute favorite band
waiting these painful minutes before he uploads You Know You're Right aseasd
Alice in chains reaction next?
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Up
Yess
yes
🤔
GOBLET IS A WORD
You're now ready for the Pixies!
oh i hope so 🤞
Pixies came first, what do you mean?
@@O0othiago0o0o0o pixies are shit
i just saw them live yesterday
@@willywezlis im seeing them in denver. Last show
“You Know You’re Right” should be next. It’s the last song Nirvana recorded and it wasn’t released until 2002 so it’s not on an album. There is a music video for it on UA-cam.
"I don't know about his CAWK." :)
The original US release of Bleach didn't include Big Cheese or Downer. Turnaround is a Devo cover.
They played a decent few of these songs for their first ever gig at a house party. Imagine the balls youd have to carry around to play hairspray queen and mexican seafood to a bunch of people who have no idea who you are
your nirvana journey isnt over listen to Unplugged bro
Aero Zeppelin is definitely Kurts most technical guitar solo
Excited to see you this pop up. Love your Nirvana reactions
I am glad to be here early. I like your videos and your humor, keep going, dude!
Really glad you did this album... I have been inspired by Nirvana since I was 15 I own 15 guitars gigged in a band since 2016. Its so crazy 1987 to 1994 and Nirvana has a lasting impact still. Btw two and a half needles full in the autopsy... Ive seen ppl nod out fall over with just a half.. I still dont know how he shot the gun..
Also I hate needles and heroin girl on it used me long time ago. I like my weed that's pretty much it.. Im a diagnosed skizo and have psychosis.. On meds lol but yeah fuck heroin...
There are also more b-sides to every album besides bleach. On never mind there is three, on in Utero there are 3 or four that you should definitely listen to
Downer wasn’t on the original pressing and that was why it was on incecticide. It wasn’t until the later realeses of bleach that it was included on the album.
YESS BEEN WAITIN FOR THIS ONE
Most of these songs were from Cobain's "arty" period when he lived in Olympia and was heavily involved in the city's local arts scene.
Love this guy man! actually good reaction content. rare.
ive been waiting fo this video to drop
Dont forget live and loud, live at reading, from the muddy banks of the wishkah, Blew, Hormoaning, almost everything and live on air 87 :)
LOVE YOUR VIDEOSS!!!!!!!!!
Downer is on both albums Bleach and Incesticide because when Bleach was released in 1989 the album didn’t had Downer and Sifting until in the 1990 Bleach reissue SubPop included that two songs, anyways DGC and SubPop added Downer on Incesticide to that people already owned a 1989 version of Bleach
Actually, it was missing Big Cheese, not Sifting. When I first bought Bleach, it was missing BC despite it being listed on the cassette.
@@xxoxia ty for the correction, I completely forgot what was the other song that wasn’t on the album
i just found this and this dude uploads a reaction the same dame
my 🐐
Big Long Now is my favourite from Incesticide, totally unique
Finally been waiting for this lol😅
kurt did the cover art for this
This series has given me a new perspective on their music. I like your videos it’s very entertaining thanks for your videos 👍
This is one of the albums BMG or Columbia House sent me automatically one month, where you had to send it back if you didn’t want to have to pay for it. It instantly became(and still is) my favorite Nirvana Album.
Goblets no longer exist. Illiteracy will prevail! Thanks for covering this, man!
when you listen to mtv unplugged (live in NY) watch the actual performance video
not an album, a compilation !
There is not a single bad nirvana song
Stain is rubbish.
@@O0othiago0o0o0o you’re a stain
@@O0othiago0o0o0o i like stain. I was just thinking about it before i saw this comment lol.
@@O0othiago0o0o0ohow is stain bad? Also did you hear Hairspray Queen???
Beans
ooohh baby this is the moment i’ve been waiting for ooohhhhahhh
Your timeline is wrong. This came out between Nevermind and In Utero.
Love the vids
Trust me you have to react to the box sets. They contain a lot of hidden and unreleased tracks. As well as the black "Greatest Hits Album". Which contains a new Nirvana song released in 2002, which previously wasn't available to the public
15:43 I love how he just has random rants with himself mid reaction, they're absolutely 😂
What about with the lights out box set? Some nice rarities on there
it's time to try "Complete - Live at KAOS Fm, Seattle Radio, 1987 (Remastered) is a live of the first Nirvana songs with a really different sound between the studio albums
YESSSS DEEP CUTS!
3:46 For anybody wondering chad was drumming in this song
10:16 A EP is like more than a single but less than a full album, it usually contains songs not seen on the main album, for example the Blew ep containted Been a son,Polly and stain which none were seen on Bleach.
I hope you do MTV unplugged cuz that is just pure beauty
peter brought a tiki idol because he believed it would bring him good luck on his upcoming journey.
“dirt” by alice in chains is an incredible album
YEEESS!!!
UNPLUGGED FINALLLYYY
10:33 they released bleach and sometime around that they released blew ep, a blew single woth some other songs on it too, and they also recorded some other songs like stain
How do you get that sound. Cheap electric.
Whats the app ur using?
Spotify
What streaming service do you use
Spotify
TEARS FOR FEARSSSS
If you like early nirvana (Bleach) you will like Mudhoney specially SuperFuzz-BigMuff, they are crazy.
This is my go- to Nirvana album. I listen to this more than any of the others.
Please we need unplugged
Listen to the box set
You’ve gotta listen to the With The Lights Out boxset
38:56 Btw The reason why Big Long Now is called Big Long Now is because Kurt didn’t actually know what the song was about or what to name it, so Chad Channing (Nirvana’s drummer at the time) thought up the title Big Long Now, “Because it was slow, heavy, and something that we were doing now.”
You need to do mtv unplugged next, but I recommend watching the live thing!!
Big Long Now is the only outtake from the Bleach sessions and for the longest time there was no evidence of them having played it live but videos have since surfaced showing they played it at least twice.
Also since you've now heard all the rest of the Hormoaning EP, you have to listen to Even In His Youth seeing as it's easily top 5 non-album Nirvana songs. Oh and their cover of D-7 too.
oh this will be fun
Incesticide is my favourite album (in utero being second)
The album Hormoaning is another one you could check out. Lots of great songs there.
ah, to be me in 5th grade finding my dads nirvana cds.... *happy sigh*
Let’s goooooo
im so excited for the reaction to mtv unplugged
Nice! Please do Nirvana MTV Unplugged in NY!
With the lights out?
Jack Endino is not a Steeve Albini!
Unplugged is the last nirvana album
Also before you go into this album it’s not a studio album it’s a compilation of Nirvana at there roots this is what Nirvana sounded like before nevermind it was more of a garage rock style my fav songs on the album are any of the John peel bbc sessions. let me tell you Nirvana was built different back before they were famous! Most of the stuff on this album was recorded in 1990
Make sure to listen to the Nirvana MTV Unplugged Album!
Unplugged will float ya boat big time holmez
bro you should listen to Alice in Chains. It’s grunge like nirvana, and have many songs that are “bleach like” that you might enjoy!
His voice in Hairspray Queen is the result of the Mexican Seafood
Please do react to the Paramount Show of Nirvana, it has in my opinion the best live performances of Nirvana songs especially their performance of About a Girl
Finally!!!
He named it big long now because the song was long
Hairspray Queen is the vocal equivalent of an exorcism.
I WAS SO FUCKING EXCITED
DAMN. NEXT KENDRICK LAMAR
paramount first-1991
unplugged after-1993
Also listen to With the Lights Out
Alice in chains dirt you gotta!
