Your Dad did a great thing - he introduced you to Rush - the greatest group of talent ever. Geddy Lee - Bass, keyboards, vocals. Alex Lifeson - guitars of every sound; and The Professor - Neil Peart - the greatest drummer ever. The did it for 40+yrs. The Professor passed away in January - RIP. @@Jamer767 That's it. I'm just happy we live in an era when we can be left these amazing recordings of so many legendary musicians (as well all the current international ones we'd likely never have even heard of 40 or 50 years ago). RUSH's legacy will live on as long as there are humans!
Hey, girls, i was in this crowd! The was in Rio de Janeiro, november 23, 2002, in Maracanã Stadium (the biggest in the world). Simply awesome, one of the best shows in my life. You may wonder how we enjoyed this. You both are beautiful, look like my two daughters. Kisses and success from Maricá, RJ, Brazil
I left this same comment in another video but it's worth saying again: Seeing young people listening to and appreciating Rush (and any rock music from well before their time) literally brings a tear to my eye. Keep expanding your musical horizons, girls.
No lyrics, but still a story to it: YYZ is the airport code for Pearson in Toronto. Their home airport. When they saw the YYZ on their bags, they knew they where finally heading home. Also, the beginning of the song is the morse code for YYZ.
They wrote this song after flying back to YYZ in a chartered airplane with a friend of mine who was the pilot. They were returning from a gig in Chicago. Neil was sitting in the co-pilot’s seat when he heard the tones for the YYZ VOR (a navigation beacon for the airport), he asked my friend what he was hearing. He explained it was the Morse code for the beacon. The rest, as they say, is music history.
You know a band is special when their fans sing along with an all instrumental song. Next Rush reactions: To Sawyer, Subdivisions, Red Barchetta, La Villa Strangiato, Distant Early Warning, Limelight, Red Sector A.
I agree with Jay, your dad is awesome! I have been a fan of RUSH about as long they were together before breaking up in 2015 after their final tour, R40. I was fortunate enough to see them in concert in 2010 on their Time Machine tour's stop in West Palm Beach, Florida. 3 and Half Hours of music. Sadly, Professor Neil Peart on drums died after long battle with caner back January of this year.
"isn't 4 minutes supposed to be long?" Time to listen to 2112. Actually is my favorite Rush song and I'm curious to see what they think of a longer song.
My language brothers, the brasilians, they sang the goddam song. When I heard that song in Rio in 2003, I was brought near into tears. Cheers to you and your father from Portugal
Goes to show their love for good music. Rush never came to Spain because, according to Alex, nobody ever asked them to, which is a sign of the kind of musical culture we have here.
Their drummer is and was the best in rock history, name The Professor! He passed a few months ago, May he RIP! Yes RUSH is the baddest three man band ever!! Good reaction Dana’s Faith
This is why we play music. Even though Neil is dead, (RIP drum master), and Rush has come to an end. They can still inspire youth and bring joy to the world.
Yes they are three of the best musicians ever. The drummer is the best of all time. RIP Neil!!!!!! The bassist is also one of the best ever. He is also the singer and plays synthesizer. And their guitar player is the most underrated of all time. Glad you enjoyed it. I enjoyed watching you two watch it for the first time.
RUSH will always be part of any playlist I have. Been a fan for over 40 years and am still blown away by the amazing rythms, sounds, time changes and incredible musicianship. Ladies, you need to dive into more RUSH in order to hear how these three talented musicians evolved musically.

I’ve seen Rush many times live, starting way back in 1977. Just so you know, Neil would toss his sticks in the air many times during every show, higher and higher every time. And he NEVER missed catching them on the way down. NEVER.

I saw these guys twice in the ‘80s, and they’re beyond awesome!! Too bad Sara missed out on this one!! I was about your age when I first heard Rush in the mid 80’s being In Canada - so proud of these 3 Canadian artists and masters of their craft! There’s so many epic songs to listen to... you need to realize that you have before you one of the world’s best drummers Neil, best bassists in Geddy and an underrated guitarist, Alex who should rank amongst the top 10 - Xanadu, Villa Strangiato and 2112 ( one song is the entire side of an album) - ask your dad what an album is lol - there is not a bad song to listen to and as the band progressed, their sound changed and developed so that each album was greater than the last but still sounded different and new. Amazing band... my favorite band!
The best part is that the band have been really good friends for over 40 years! There’s a video of them having dinner and they’re goofy and funny and you can tell how good a friendship they had!
This is exactly what we need at this time👏👏👏 2020 has inspired us to look into different and exciting things, and I thank your very knowledgeable father for sharing this exceptional experience with you girls. After losing the G.O.A.T, “The Professor “ this is the first time I’ve watched anything RUSH and smiled😃 A true Canadian! Sincerely grateful! 😎🙋♂️

Wow. This is great. Fantastic to see young people watching and reacting to music i grew up listening to and still love to this day. Hope to see more Rush soon. You only 40 years of material to enjoy 😎
I don’t know if you noticed ladies but, the crowd was singing the song the whole time. It’s an instrumental lol. They knew every part. Totally epic. Thx for reacting.
I first saw "Rush" in 1981, in Denver Colorado USA, and they were still Rocking Stadiums around the World. I last saw them in 2018. 🎼🎼🎼 Consumate Professionals 🌟🌟🌟🌟
You two have so much awesome music from them to explore! This group is so unique, there were times when the bass player does sing and play bass AND keyboard all at the same time. Geddy Lee. Alex Lifeson was/is an incredible guitarist. He was with two other insanely talented musicians and I think because of that, he has not been seen by some as the guitar magician he is. Neil Peert (pronounce "peer" and add a t) was a great drummer early, but studied with a jazz drumming teacher and became insanely great. He sometimes would add classical instruments like glockenspiel to his kit and studied the proper way to use them. Neil also was the main lyric writer. He loved to read and had a great appetite for learning by riding around on his motorcycle and seeking to understand all kinds of people. So his lyrics were often deep. But if the others thought they needed something different he would revise them, no problem. No ego tripping, just pure devotion to the art of the song.
My introduction to your channel = your introduction to Rush. Very cool! I will have to watch more of your videos. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm.

Love your reactions to RUSH. they are the best.Love seeing young boys and girls listening to the greatest rock band ever. Keep listening to RUSH girls... they are amazing...
I love that the crowd is singing along to a song that has no words!!! That's how magical this moment is!
Omg thank you so much for showing me this link you girls Rock ! Bravo !
Some Rush Trivia. They are one of only a handful of bands who have had the same members it's entire 40 year run. Drummer Peart wrote a majority of their songs!
Actually, they had a different drummer to start
Dude!!! You have to give them more Rush!!! Feed them with musical greatness!!
That crowd is epic!!
One of fav bands! RIP Neil Peart!
You two girls need to follow more RUSH. YOU WILL Love them.
As a musician the most amazing part of this video for me is hearing that crowd sing out the instrumentation. It's what makes this clip so amazing.
That's how they do things in Brazil. They're very interactive. Watch 2112/Limelight from the same show
First off, your dad is so awesome to have you young ladies listen to my favorite of all bands, RUSH! Awesome!!
Watching you react to Rush was a treat! Hoping for more Rush to come! :) 'Tom Sawyer' is another great classic

RIP Neil Peart 1952-2020
💥THE GIRL WHO LISTENED TO RUSH💥
From the back of the stadium
She’s easy to see
Standing up at the stage
In her Starman tee
From Anthem to Limelight
To YYZ
She’s the girl who listened to Rush
And all of the rockers
And all of the heshers
Well they dreamed of the day
That they might get her
And drive her away
In a Red Barchetta
She’s the girl who listened to Rush
Philosophers and ploughmen
They can’t resist her call
They cannot choose
Not to decide
So they've got no choice at all
They've gotta love her
No she doesn’t say "Pert"
And she doesn’t say "Part"
Yeah, she knows it’s "Neil Peert"
‘Cause he’s close to her heart
Say a prayer for John Rutsey
He was there at the start
She’s the girl who listened to Rush
Philosophers and ploughmen
They can’t resist her call
They cannot choose
Not to decide
So they've got no choice at all
They've gotta love her
Why don’t girls ever listen to Rush?
But she listened to Rush!
The blacksmith and the artist
They can’t resist her call
You cannot choose
Not to decide
So you’ve got no choice at all
No you’ve got no choice at all
You’ve gotta love her

Aww your dad is so cool turning you onto and educating you on Rush. I’ve seen some of your other vids with Rush but then to see this and know your dad turned you onto them really touched my heart. YOU TWO touch my heart, that’s why I decided to watch this. Keep up the good work. Your energy shared between the two of you is infectious and engaging.
Brightest Blessings from Moji! 😁♥️
Nice intro to Rush for you girls. 3 guys so talented just jamming away and the crowd was so into it. Imagine being there to see that performance.
The best part is that the band have been really good friends for over 40 years! There’s a video of them having dinner and they’re goofy and funny and you can tell how good a friendship they had!
Cheers to you ladies and of course to yer dad...for suggesting the greatest band in the galaxy for you to hear. RUSH...THE COOL BREEZE FROM THE NORTH.
Rush .... Is an awesome band to enjoy.... Watching from Dallas,TX... Keep up the great reactions
"Limelight" "Working Man" "La Villa Strangiato" "Tom Sawyer" and so much more. Great band!
It is 3:04 am here in Toronto and I had to see you girls discover Rush. They played together for 40 yrs. RIP Neil. The professor (who wrote over 12 books.)
Cheers, from Toronto ✌
Wow. This is great. Fantastic to see young people watching and reacting to music i grew up listening to and still love to this day.
Hope to see more Rush soon. You only 40 years of material to enjoy 😎
Liking your fun attitude as always
Watching you guys react makes me excited for these bands all over again. Thank you for your energy.
Great song! GREAT! Band I saw rush in concert back in the 80's fantastic, these guys are truly master musicians. Keep on rockin ladies 🤟
RUSH - Sub-Divisions
I recommend Lyrics video OR reading through the lyrics before reacting.
Rush, the greatest 3-Man Band of all time. You wanted a longer Rush-Song ? Go for "2112" (it´s about 21min.) Next up : "The Spirit of Radio" - you will love it. btw. great Reaction Ladies. You see how talented this Band is.
It's so sad to see Sara edited out of the intro. I loved y'alls reaction and can't wait to see more!
It's so great to see the next generation have such an excited reaction to one of the greatest power trios in rock. Great music is always timeless.
God bless you girls. Your reactions and observations are so fun, honest and still intelligent.
I'm so proud of yall ! It brings a tears to my eyes. On a serious note......I'm sad to announce the drummer you like Neil Pert died already. Legendary drummer his life was cut to short.
