- The "BEST" Of A Worst Case Scenario They Could Have .......is not an understatement ! Everything about this removal is going against me. When the impossible becomes possible I take advantage of it. Had things been just a bit different, this would have turned out much worse but the construction gave me a break and the bees made up for it with their attitudes.
Here we are at it again and I'm excited to share another episode of my bee adventures with all of you. the bees however, not so much. They were not on board with being famous and I can't blame them. Bad timing on their part but it's my job to save them.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did and remember, I am a trained professional.....wink wink. Don't try this at home. or anywhere else for that matter.
Honeybees can always be dangerous and it is not recommended to attempt to remove them with experience with bees or construction knowledge.
I hope you enjoy this little bit of fun. I enjoy your feedback in the comments and thank you for taking the time to check out my channel. Until the next time, enjoy the show.
Yappy Beeman is a professional bee remover performing live honey bee removals in Alabama as "Alabama Bee Rescue" and relocates them to apiaries away from residential areas so they can rebuild and thrive as a honey bee colony producing honey. Yappy is an Alabama Beekeepers association member that has performed over 1000 live bee removals. Yappy with the help of his great friends Jpthebeeman, 628 Dirtrooster bees, Jeff Horchoff and many others, I have learned many skills to remove bee swarms and honey bee colonies safely for the bees and home owners alike.

Yappy, that floor joist ain’t going no where! I totally understood how you said you were going to put it back and that’s exactly what I would have done! I ready for the next one!
Man, I got hammered by a wannacarpenter on a video one time for cutting a band board. Anyone with half a brain could understand the repair but some people just gotta complain about something.
I say, if a 14" section being removed is so vital to the strength of that structure and my repair process isn't adequate, that house has bigger problems than what I did!
any video with some construction element in it always has haters. Those people are tiring and of course don't post their own.
As a carpenter I would advise you to put two 3/4 heavy-duty 5-point irons on these double joists 5-inch screws ... but I'm just an electrician. 😀
MAMMYYYYYYYY !!
Bwahahaha. Dang electricians.
Way cool mural. 😁
That's what happens when they don't caulk the bottom run of the vinyl, bad instillation.
I'd cut on the in side of the joists then scab in nailing blocks for extra support when replacing the cut out section.
Yappy as a retired contractor it is nice to see beekeepers doing cut outs correctly.👍👍👍
As a carpenter, I think you did a fine job. It’s more of a nailer than a joist. You left the rim joist intact so no structural damage was done. Once again, fine job. Also, love your advice. If you don’t love what you do, do something else! Love you buddy❤
It’s amazing how calm you stay. Thank you for taking us so long.
I like the versatility in this video. Some cases bees are irritated, and you need a suit. Bees are not super happy and ready to go all the time. Great Video
you are a man who loves his job!
Great content and love your attitude. I never really thought I would find myself watching bee videos, but you make it a must for me to watch. Keep up the good work. How many times do you typically get stung per recovery jobs you get called to. I assume you just build up a tolerance to the pain and venom? Thanks Yappy
If I do it right, generally not many, if any. But these bees were on a war path from the get go and I took a bunch before the suit.
There's something nice about bees, I just sit near them when they're on the flowers.
Never been stung. 😀👍
Yappy! I can't believe you cut the floor joist! Wait! Just kidding 😂 Some guys would grab a can of Raid, and call it good. It's always great to watch you go the extra mile to save the ladies 😊
Thats no lie.....unfortunately. But they learn when it comes time to clean that mess out.
Thank you Yappy for the video.
I absolutely love bees but can't get near them, allergic to them.
Get some new batteries so you can do more videos. They make my heart sing.
I also love your sense of humour. Not enough of that around.
I really enjoy these beeman videos and learn a lot. I never knew that a beehive is like a single living organism in that each hive has its own level of aggressiveness/defensiveness similar to a vertebrate animal. I see that in this video. Some hives are easy to remove, others require the suit not to get stung. Fascinating!
To be a carpenter on top of being a bee rescuer. That's quite a combination!
I like the explantion, feels like I am there with you.. but without the stings... :)
I get so jealous seeing all that fresh honey just runnin' and drippin' everywhere! Doesn't get any fresher than that! Just need some buttered toast...
Now I gotta go eat me some...thanks. lol
Too bad the bees didn’t pick a better spot. Those scout bees need a little training LOL. Love your channel Yappy :)
I love your videos! I am so allergic to bees and it’s so nice to see you do that without getting stung too much❤️ keep up the great work
Way to go Yappy...great video. Like that you couldn't leave that queen .... Had to bring her home..no Queen left behind.
Thanks for the explanations of why & how - very good reminder why you are so good at what you do!!! It's not a job for amateurs so I'll keep watching & enjoying & stick to demo jobs & trees 😉
Yappy you are awesome and you did the right thing. This was like you said Best of the worst. Those honeycombs were very very old!!!!!!! How long does it take for it to turn that color????
It actually was probably an early spring swarm (april'ish) here in Central Bama. But a very nice one once they settled down.
And THAT is why YOU are the Yappy Bee Man! Nobody else can Yap a hive like you can. Thanks and BLESSINGS 2 ALL Yall!
Wow, you’re definitely an expert at what you do for sure! Keep
It up ! GOD Bless !!!!!!
Excellent job! Way to narrow down the location and take care of it perfectly from inside.
Well worst case scenario should be mandatory the camera battery dies.
That was the 4th battery I used for this one. I took some footage for sure.
I liked hearing the vacuum and bees 😹🤣
Any day with Yappy is a great day!!
Thank God for men!!!!
had yellow jackets last year make a hive under/inside vinal and brick it took me all summer to kill them off b.c it was so hard to put the powder inside and it was 2nd story...ugh
why didn't you wait till they all abandoned the nest at the end of the season so there wouldn't be a rotting mess left inside the wall?
Any carpenter type person that is a beekeeper would understand. I'm an electrician.
Thanks for the video.
Glad to see you stip by as always.
Hello 👋 MR. BEE 🐝 GUY
I just watched you collect “7” Queen bees 🐝 Amazing as I’ve never seen anymore then “1” Queen Bee 🐝 by any one.
Now I’m catching up on your newer videos. Whoever painted bees 🐝 on your box did an awesome 👏🏻 job.
I live on East Coast of Florida 🌴and I’d love to have some Honey 🍯 with the comb in it. Do you ever sell the honey and ship it?
I absolutely love bees!
Hi Yappy. I've just subscribed and from the U.K. Why is it that killer Bee guy destroys every hive he encounters. Is this wrong as I think they only attack him as they know he is trying to kill them.
Im not a fan of him and believe there are much better ways but he plays the drama of it. Sadly.
Y’all Sting 🐝 the Like 👍🏼 on the way in!!
Amazing video
I don't know if this question has been asked but, I see all sorts of yellow colored comb/hive. How come it's so white here? I was pretty surprised how "clean" it was.
Newer made comb will start out white but as they use it, it will become darker.
I would like to know if the queen was the reason for the anger bees, and if so, did you have to change to a calm queen?
Nice size comb for framing up.
Another amazing video, Yappy! Thank you!
I'm still really interested in that finished repair. 😂
Nicely done. Hope the eyes didn't swell too bad. Stings to the face are the worst, imho.
Looked like you were getting enough grief from the ladies, never mind any carpenters😆 nicely done though that queen hung around for you
Bad start but turned out to be some fun.
Yappppppyyy!!! Ohhh Yappy It's Good To See You :) Hi Pretty Mamma, Hi Pretty Ladies & Ummm Gentlemens Yeppp Hope Ya'll Doing Well Today ?? It's Nice & Cool Here In Edinburgh Scotland I Sent "The Hot Weather Back To America & Mexico...lol Sorry My Bad...Hehehe!!! :) :) :)
Wow just found you this is great!
Glad you did. Hope you enoy my crazy fun with bees.
Any idea what has happened with JP? It's been over a month, since there has been a video from him. I hope he's ok.
In some of the comments on his videos about that he replied that he's fine but has a lot of other things to do and no time to make new videos
@TanksInSpace_ thank you for your response. I've been concerned about him.
"🐝 ing messed with"
Those bees arent that bad. I have had a hive be so mean I didnt bring them home I sold them to a pollinator guy I know, and he didnt like them.
Were they African bees or hybrid?
@@alicel3992 probably a hybrid. I don't know I pulled them boxed them they took and I talked to him cause I took enough stings he said he would give me 175 bucks for them for pollinators. Here you go I don't care what you do with them get them mean bees away from me.
My bees 2 stings is the worst I ever got, most times they just ignore me. Calm nice. That is how they should be. I don't like mean bees, I will not keep them.
@@joeyl.rowland4153 do different hives have different temperants?
@@susanmurphy6681 absolutely
Hey Yappy, you had any dealings with Mortar Bee's?
Here in the UK a farmer once took me to show me the damage they can do to a property.
It was incredible to me! 😮
I don't believe we have anything like that here or I have never dealt with them
Love me some Yappy 🐝👷
Hi 👋
😮 my negibor had the same problem, bee keepers wouldn't take them so insted the killed the hive.
Then tore open the wall to remove the dead bees and hive sheetrock honeycone honey , he was worried about loose bees in his house more then saving the bees.
looks like we have to call you wood butcher lol
I was nice this time.....I left the chainsaw at home.
Did vacuum the bees hurt the bees.
No. Its is specially designed to collect without killing the bees. Any other type vac would
You in Raleigh?
I was for a few days. We stopped by the museum and saw that picture. Beautiful artwork.
Another interesting video, you couldn’t drink enough water in a situation like that.
No doubt. That was a hot one for sure. But I still enjoyed it.
Yappy, I called Mom. She said to tell you to mind your own dang business! 😊🎉
Bwahahahh. Tell her I said hello. Always gotta respect moms advice. Wink wink.
Doesn’t your vacuuming kill the bees..how do you know you didn’t vacuum the queen? 🐝 🐝
No the vac doesnt kill the bees and the answer to your 2nd question is answered toward the end of the video.
Thank you Yappy ,you're taking good care of THE LORD'S girls. If we lose them we lose ourselves, God bless you.
Yappy has 4 fingers
And a thumb. Weird...
:3
Quit complaining, I’m over here in Nevada where it’s been 100+ for more than 9 weeks now.
Lol.....Im sorry
Don't let anybody tell you what your job is bro you fix it how you feel you need to fix it. Me if I was you I would tell them I strictly remove fees I can make an attempt to put it back together but I can guarantee you it's going to look good LOL😅😅😅 keep doing what you do sir this is awesome
Amazing work Yappy. You definitely know what your doing :))
I appreciate that!
I love 🐝 bee's ❤
Great job Happy I’m quite happy with you short framing job. It filled the hole what more do the cry babies want lol. Sorry about the eye.
Honey is bee vomit.
😂 but it good on food.
Egg is chicken period
Hey yappy, what was that you sprayed to get them stirring? Great video, I'm always excited when you post a new one.
Honybgone......but used VERY carefully in specific ways.
The Yappy eye 😁🙏
I'm currently in the middle of finishing a house inside a shell and I'm fortunate enough to have builders with 40 yrs of experience teaching me how to do it right. Showed him this vid and he agrees, same damn thing he would've done to replace the joist. Good on ya Yappy, pity you get keyboard warriors bugging you! Also, aren't Oscillating saws and framing nailers awesome?? Ooo Acrocanthus?
Always that one person that has to act like they are smarter than the rest of us. But as a non carpenter myself, even that made sense on the repair. Thanks for the comment and best wishes on the new house.
@@YappyBeeman Thank you so kindly, Yappy! You keep doing what you love and saving those precious honeybees! They are super important! :D
Yappy always gets his Queen. Fantastic job as always! 🐝 ❤
She definitely played hard to get.
I’m always amazed at how much you know about the way the bees work… it’s really a beautiful thing!! Keep🐝ing you Yappy!!
Where you been??? Good to see another hive being saved and going to a better place where they can live happily. Hope all is well for you and the "Yappy Eye" I know they hurt a touch but you did it and enjoy helping those girls. Hope to see you again soon. Take care
Yappy eye only lasts a few hours for me. I've been stung enough that it doesnt really effect me anymore.
great footage as always yappy! when a keyboard tough guy gives you grief, just tell him, some time you have to cut a house in half to save the bee's lol
Dang skippy, Ive done it before. Lol. Now wheres that chainsaw.....
Loved it. Thank you YAPPY!
You are so welcome! Thank you fir checking it out.
I was a framer and yes what you did is right. In fact you're repair is actually going to be stronger than it was to begin with
Boom!......I finally got one right. Lol, you would be surprised at the armchair carpenter comments I get sometimes. But thank you for the confirmation.
Just when I was thinking "Oh, these girls are so gentle" you cut away and mention they are angry and you got yappy eye from a sting. (sorry they got you.)
I guess I'm not ready for beekeeping yet. 😂
They were pretty spicy to start with but once they realized it was Yappy they chilled about 10 degrees. Lol.
Absolutely amazing work. Thanks for sharing! The comb shape looked almost like a pefrect fit to a frame.
Great job Yappy from a novice bee man, my first year. I would retired the floor joist the same way, not a carpenter.
Love you yappy , love watching❤️🇨🇦
Thank you very much
So sorry that you got stung. What were you spraying from the bottle? Did you seal the hole between brick and vinyl or leave it open for the ladies to escape rather than being trapped inside the walls?
Stay safe out there. Peace brother
The spraying he did after the comb removal was most likely repellent, he uses it to drive the strays back to where he could catch them.
I’m in the flight path of an airport, and I can relate to this moment perfectly. 😂 6:09
I have a basenji also. Awesome dog. I use it when I hunt squirrels with Red Tail Hawks. She is amazingly game on a hunt.
@@YappyBeeman Totally cool! If you have any videos of her on your channel please drop the link so I can watch. They are an amazing breed! 😁🐕🐝
I can't help but notice that stretch of Vinyl where the bees were must have been replaced because the rest of them had years of being exposed to the elements on them.
Yappy, I'm curious as to why you don't use an endoscope to investigate further. Endoscopes are simple but effective! Subscriber from Liverpool England ❤
Were those new queen cells you were pointing too? Thought I also saw a dead carpenter bee.
That was the only 2 I found. After inspection they seemed to be a bit older. Not a recent hatch.
Good call yappy. You're the man!
Nice!
love it!
Those bees seemed really tired. Must be hot.
Fabulous mural from the Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh??
You are a winner!!!! Yes, I was there a few days ago and that just amazed me how 3d looking it was. Sadly its hidden in an area not traveled by many.
Good job yappy
At the end, that was a Yappysaurus- Rex. .
Bwahahahah. Very well could be.
You got the Queen and her clan, problem solved.
Real life problems with a dose of real world fixes.
😂
Why do you care what people yell in the comments. Some are right, some wrong, some meh. All can be ignored.
Bee-Rex
🤣👍
To 🐝 or not to 🐝
❔
@@Doxymeister It was a jest--quoting from Hamlet.
To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them...
@@zzydny Yes, I know the quote. That's why I understood your use of symbology (the bee icons) to make the quote. And that's why I used symbology to reply "?" to mean, "That is the question". Sorry to be too symbolic, LOL.
You gotta do what you gotta do & if that means replacing a plank or two that’s the way it is
Never heard of killer bees African.
Is that the only bee you know of? Look up European bees, thats what these are.
There African bees
Quit complaining, I'm over here in Texas where it's been 100+ for more than 8 weeks now.
