  • The "BEST" Of A Worst Case Scenario They Could Have .......is not an understatement ! Everything about this removal is going against me. When the impossible becomes possible I take advantage of it. Had things been just a bit different, this would have turned out much worse but the construction gave me a break and the bees made up for it with their attitudes.
Here we are at it again and I'm excited to share another episode of my bee adventures with all of you. the bees however, not so much. They were not on board with being famous and I can't blame them. Bad timing on their part but it's my job to save them.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did and remember, I am a trained professional.....wink wink. Don't try this at home. or anywhere else for that matter.
Honeybees can always be dangerous and it is not recommended to attempt to remove them with experience with bees or construction knowledge.
I hope you enjoy this little bit of fun. I enjoy your feedback in the comments and thank you for taking the time to check out my channel. Until the next time, enjoy the show.
Yappy Beeman is a professional bee remover performing live honey bee removals in Alabama as "Alabama Bee Rescue" and relocates them to apiaries away from residential areas so they can rebuild and thrive as a honey bee colony producing honey. Yappy is an Alabama Beekeepers association member that has performed over 1000 live bee removals. Yappy with the help of his great friends Jpthebeeman, 628 Dirtrooster bees, Jeff Horchoff and many others, I have learned many skills to remove bee swarms and honey bee colonies safely for the bees and home owners alike.

Man, I got hammered by a wannacarpenter on a video one time for cutting a band board. Anyone with half a brain could understand the repair but some people just gotta complain about something.
I say, if a 14" section being removed is so vital to the strength of that structure and my repair process isn't adequate, that house has bigger problems than what I did!

As a carpenter I would advise you to put two 3/4 heavy-duty 5-point irons on these double joists 5-inch screws ... but I'm just an electrician. 😀

    Way cool mural. 😁
That's what happens when they don't caulk the bottom run of the vinyl, bad instillation.
I'd cut on the in side of the joists then scab in nailing blocks for extra support when replacing the cut out section.
Yappy as a retired contractor it is nice to see beekeepers doing cut outs correctly.👍👍👍

As a carpenter, I think you did a fine job. It’s more of a nailer than a joist. You left the rim joist intact so no structural damage was done. Once again, fine job. Also, love your advice. If you don’t love what you do, do something else! Love you buddy❤

Great content and love your attitude. I never really thought I would find myself watching bee videos, but you make it a must for me to watch. Keep up the good work. How many times do you typically get stung per recovery jobs you get called to. I assume you just build up a tolerance to the pain and venom? Thanks Yappy

I really enjoy these beeman videos and learn a lot. I never knew that a beehive is like a single living organism in that each hive has its own level of aggressiveness/defensiveness similar to a vertebrate animal. I see that in this video. Some hives are easy to remove, others require the suit not to get stung. Fascinating!

So sorry that you got stung. What were you spraying from the bottle? Did you seal the hole between brick and vinyl or leave it open for the ladies to escape rather than being trapped inside the walls?
Stay safe out there. Peace brother

The spraying he did after the comb removal was most likely repellent, he uses it to drive the strays back to where he could catch them.

I can't help but notice that stretch of Vinyl where the bees were must have been replaced because the rest of them had years of being exposed to the elements on them.
