- How amazing!!! When I got the call from a warehouse in North Alabama about a honey bee issue they were having, I tried to picture how a colony of bees could move into a void space between a loaded pallet. The fact they had only known the bees to have been there for a few days made it just as interesting. In my mind, it was just bees enjoying the salts from the bags on the pallets. maybe....
So off to the bees I go. When I got on location I saw a bigger issue than the pictures they sent. There were A BUNCH of bees and they weren't just visiting. in fact, I would soon realize they had been there a lot longer than 4 days.
And so the story goes and the video rolls. Hope you enjoy this episode with Yappy Beeman and another colony of bees in places they don't need to bee.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did and remember, I am a trained professional.....wink wink. Don't try this at home. or anywhere else for that matter.
Honeybees can always be dangerous and it is not recommended to attempt to remove them with experience with bees or construction knowledge.
I hope you enjoy this little bit of fun. I enjoy your feedback in the comments and thank you for taking the time to check out my channel. Until the next time, enjoy the show.
Yappy Beeman is a professional bee remover performing live honey bee removals in Alabama as "Alabama Bee Rescue" and relocates them to apiaries away from residential areas so they can rebuild and thrive as a honey bee colony producing honey. Yappy is an Alabama Beekeepers association member that has performed over 1000 live bee removals. Yappy with the help of his great friends Jpthebeeman, 628 Dirtrooster bees, Jeff Horchoff and many others, I have learned many skills to remove bee swarms and honey bee colonies safely for the bees and home owners alike.

Here is a little bee educational material for ya.
Africanized honey bees (known colloquially as "killer bees") are hybrids between European stock and the East African lowland subspecies A. m. scutellata; they are often more aggressive than European honey bees and do not create as much of a honey surplus, but are more resistant to disease and are better foragers.[23] Accidentally released from quarantine in Brazil, they have spread to North America and constitute a pest in some regions. However, these strains do not overwinter well, so they are not often found in the colder, more northern parts of North America. The original breeding experiment for which the East African lowland honey bees were brought to Brazil in the first place has continued (though not as originally intended). Novel hybrid strains of domestic and re-domesticated Africanized honey bees combine high resilience to tropical conditions and good yields. They are popular among beekeepers in Brazil.
Honey bees appear to have their center of origin in South and Southeast Asia (including the Philippines), as all the extant species except Apis mellifera are native to that region. Notably, living representatives of the earliest lineages to diverge (Apis florea and Apis andreniformis) have their center of origin there.[7] - Навчання та стиль
What a nice looking hive and I love the intro! Because of where they were I figured they would have a salty attitude. Wink wink
I mentioned Greg Burns name and oddly enough I was immediately stung. Not surprised I guess.
Where you all been hiding? Miss your videos.
That intro lol 😆
You don't get stung do you Happy? Surely n out!😂
Yappy, the only man who doesn't use a suit. I love it. ❤️❤️
Yappy, you never cease to amaze me on your ability to find the queen! And your ability to read the hive and their behavior is unparalleled. All the best from San Diego California!
Hello back from Bama. I definitely enjoy the "Where's Waldo" game they like to play with me.
It's always such a pleasure to watch your videos. I knew you'd find that queen!
I love that new white comb so much, it's so beautiful! Wish I could have an empty piece so I could just look and marvel at it.
“I pissed ‘em off”-original gangster.
What a great colony of bees. They looked like they were pretty cool with you destroying their house. Nice work and hope they enjoy their new home. ❤️🐝
I got yo mama 🎶🤣
Yup! I told my roomie, "Watch! Yappy always gets his queen!" You do not disappoint! Looks like an amazing haul of bees and honey!!
Definitely. I'm looking at 3 bags of honey as we speak from this one. Going to be good on a biscuit in the morning.
@@YappyBeeman Yes! I will enjoy it vicariously through you, lol!
"I got yo momma"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I'm bout to binge watch your channel, this is pretty cool !
Nice work thanks for sharing
Thank you for sharing. Who would have thought pallets would have been a nesting site?!
My first thought was, a pallet, a pallet of bees. Well at least he could take the whole pallet easily enough. Pre boxed.
Hi Yappy, glad to see your new video. I was getting worried, it was a long time we hadn’t seen anything from you. Glad you’re well. Looking forward to the next one. Mike from Montreal.
Thanks Brother. It's been a busy month and the good stuff has been hard to capture. Having a great time though. Hope you are well.
The bees probably thought the space inside that wooden pallet was just like a hollow tree.
They do the choosing......I just do the removing.
Thanks yappy
That is one of the coolest things I have ever seen!! Bees in a pallet. Who would have ever guessed. Great video Yappy!!
I really enjoy watching and learning from you. Thank-you so much for sharing!
Another great episode. Really enjoyed the montage music!
Thanks. It's hard to find good music sometimes and I'm glad you enjoyed this one.
I trust you migrated the swarm to a nice new bee hive as they’ll be happy with their queen in a new home.
I will never cease to be amazed at how symmetrical and strong these little creatures can build their hives. They are amazing engineers.
Another great Yappy episode. I like them all.
It would be interesting at the end of each episode to have an official
Yappy "Sting-ometer" with a 1 -10 rating depending on how many hits you sustained.
Thanks.
Way cool video Yappy. It's so interesting how bees will make a home anywhere if given the time to do it. God's peace brother.
Thank you brother. Hope you enjoyed some crazy Yappy fun on a Friday night. Thanks for dropping by. Blessings to you as well.
Beautiful honeycomb
Beautiful bee rescue! Thank you for finding their queen that is always the best moment.
Just keep swimming. ❤ Youre my new favorite person to watch here!
This is the best one yet. That is amazing. All them bees in them pallets. I have missed you and JP and Dirt Rooster.
I can't even write all of the cool things because I'd look insane but a few are your ability to "read" the hives and how the bees build "housing" and "factories" is just so effing cool. People like you are who young people should look up to and should never be in need or struggle. There's ball bouncers worth a billion dollars that couldn't survive a week if everything crashed and money became like Venezuela's. BzzzZZZzzzztt bzzzz on!
True.....and I'm not sharing any honey with them either.
I love that you're very respectful to the bees
This channel made me happy.
My grandpa used to be a bee keeper, and all my childhood i used to go with him on his bee trips. Sadly he passed a couple weeks ago, so this made me think about the good old times :)
Good job Yappy!!!!!
Thanks Rodney. Have a good weekend my friend.
I find it both fascinating and amusing how docile honey bees are compared to wasps
Glad your back Yappy! Please keep the video's coming.
C'mon Girls, "I gotcha mama, I gotcha mama." Love that little ditty!
I got a list of questions I'm a new viewer and subscriber.
1. Do you ever wear protective gear?
2. How many times do you get stung when making videos?
3. Have you ever accidentally killed the queen bee and if so what's the solution to replace the queen?
4. Have you ever been attacked by the whole colony?
5. How long have you been working with bees to feel comfortable not wearing safety gear?
6. What do you do with the bees that you remove from businesses/homes?
7. How did you get into the bee business what spark your interest?
9. What's the biggest hive or colony you've removed and how long did it take you?
10. What's the weirdest place you've seen a colony of bees build their home?
Don't need to answer all or none just questions that go through my head when I watch your videos.
Yappy, you're my hero! I have been missing your updates so I am glad to see this. Sorry it's so hot in 'Bamer. My hubby and I lived near Ft Rucker back in his training for the Vietnam conflict. This Oregon Gramma could never go back now and survive! Anyway I'm a fan of your videos and I admire you 🙂
Awe thanks. It's been a busy season and the good stuff has just been hard to come by. But this one made the cut and I'm glad it did. Stay safe up there.
Once again another superb job & you have to take all the elements of surprises with your job especially working in 126° & with CLIMATE CHANGE on the RISE DANG!!! You should be called... SUPER YAPPY BEE MAN.🐝 Thank you again SUPER YAPPY BEE MAN helping relocate our 🐝 bee friends.💖
You sir, are a trip! Funniest bee human on the planet,! 😂SAVE THE BEES!!
This is absolutely amazing!
Another Yappified hive and Captured Queen! Bee BLESSED Sir Yappus!
Thanks. Good to see ya stopping by Lew. Have a great weekend.
@@YappyBeeman Can't go no where else if'n I want to see YOU, Pal! Just don't work! And yall too about the weekend!
Yappy I'm loving your videos! I learn so much about my bees just from your love for bees in general. Keep it up! Also, just cuz I'm new to your channel... do you end up keeping all the bees you remove? You must have a huge apiary of you do!
It totally amazes me all the intricate hives the bees build. I absolutely love bees. The combs they made are so incredible! Thank you Bee Man for these interesting, wonderful videos!! Outstanding job 👌👌👌👌
The only thing I don't like about your videos is....they're not long enough! LOL, watching you handling those girls is just fascinating, could watch all day long. Have seen you scoop up handfuls of bees many times, and it still amazes me. Cheers!
People must flip seeing you do all this without a bee suit.
Most do. Those who never seen my videos do in the comments.
@@YappyBeeman its def crazy to see someone like, handle bees without gear since I dont have any experience with it personally and have always been rather terrified of getting stung. Seeing you able to do that and do so many of these videos and seldom getting stung is super neat. So is learning the difference between like, how people remove bees vs wasps.
Correct me if I'm wrong (cause I barely know anything), but wasps are the ones that will bite and sting multiple times? Bees only sting one time so it isnt super common.
Wow! What a bee condo!
I love the intro.
Intense music, followed by "i pissed them off"
Thank you. I love editing these after I'm done. Trying to create a story with bells and whistles that folks enjoy isn't as easy at it seems. Thanks for the feedback.
You manage to touch angry bees without a suit
Your a legend man!
We love you man!
Yappy, you were oh so right about the heat in Alabama! The humidity running in the 60s percentage is what makes it so bad on us! I’ve never heard of bees building in a pallet in a warehouse like that. I would love to have some of that comb honey! Can you tell me what city that this took place in? I always look forward to your videos! I received my hat yesterday! Thanks friend!
Glad you got the hat. Sorry it rook so long. This was on the North side of bham.
@Yappy Have you ever considered going live for a Q&A. I got a couple questions out of curiosity, and yes of course i can google them. But Google doesn't have the same charisma and passion that Yappy has.
Wow, so many bees! Thank you for sharing, great video!
Thanks for what you, and all beekeepers do. Honeybees are extremely important to us. Not to mention, honey is delicious, and good for you.
Yippee you are the Beeman. I absolutely love how get along with these bees
Keep it going
Thanks Mike. Doing my best one pallet at a time. Lol
That sucks that you had to unload that pallet! Beautiful combs!
My Hero!
Awe....you are being too nice. Well....maybe I am a little but still....
Oh man am I happy I literally stumbled on to your channel, I watched that massive hive you shook and caught on top of ur truck, an I enjoyed all of it, your excitement an willingness to literally grab bare minimum to save that colony is something we need more in this world! IV needed a good laugh on top of gaining a bit of faith in humanity back!!! Keep on keeping on man, you sir have gained a new loyal follower!!
Thanks again Lynn. I appreciate the support.
Thanks! You share really great info! I love this!
Its a pleasure and thank you for watching. Two of my favorite pleasures in life, bees and the fun capturing it and making the videos in hioes others can see there's more to them than a stinger.
I always look forward to seeing your videos. And, your courage.
Love it, thanks for sharing. Keep saving these awesome creatures!
Wow! Crazy! LOVE your videos!
Love your videos and don't need a suit!
Flip flops are optional also....
Wow great stuff Yappy. Nice little colony. It’s great when a plan comes together. Love the editing! Next level stuff!!
Thank you Brother......I wish I could have made the big event down there but schedule wouldn't allow it. Looked like a great time.
I love watching your vids. Need follow up vids and more. Thanks. Bees are interesting.
Yay Yappy! At least it's not a short clip like some other people (that shall remain nameless) have been putting up. Nice hive on those pallets. Cool place to build too. Better than 40 feet up in the air.
Love these video’s from Mr Yappy 🐝 man…💛
These 🐝🐝🐝 love their home, they don’t want to move out….🤭🍯
Thank you so much for your videos!! our hive swarmed yesterday in a tree right by it and i was able to scoop them with a Nuk box… but something in me was just wanting to do what I’m watching you do❤️🐝 Thank you thank you thank you
When you get to find the swarm and they are in a cluster, you will notice they should be very quite, if they are buzzing and noisy, they are not calm enough, most swarm are very quite, then you can have your catch box handy, just take a scraper about 3 or 4 inches wide and start from a spot and gently scoop them up and place them in the catch box and be looking to catch the queen, once you have her you have it made, sit her in the box and keep taking the swarm of the branch, if it is hanging down on the tree or wherever, just take a good hold on the limb and drop if swiftly above the box and swiftly bring it back up, most will drop into the box, put in a few frames if you have them and try to catch the queen put her into a queen cage and they will all be in the box by night fall unless you get the majority of them before. You can do it. You probably have already learned to listen how quite a content hive is, once you get that down, you are ready to try your first search by just smoking them a little and do what you want quickly and quietly. If my chance, you get stung just scape the stinger off and I always have a little water handy, to put on the sting spot, within a very short time you will not feel the sting. It always works for me, unless, it is a very tender spot, lip, eye browse or such, rarely does this happen. Oh yeah, once you scoop a few bunches down, try it with your cupped hand and you will notice how warm they are and then just shake them off over the box, you will see for yourself there was nothing difficult about this but the first time jitters.
A comment to boost your algorithm.
You are awesome. Thanks
I love it when I stumble across UA-cam channels local to me! Or rather semi-local, I'm in the Huntsville area. To be completely honest I'm terrified of bees but I think they're really cool so I love watching UA-cam videos like this
Thank you. I actually do removals up that way. Lots of bees up there.
Good to see you again Yappy.
nice one. wonder if you would do that to a wasp nest great viewing
Thank you and ....no. Totally different mentality in the two bugs.
Nice shots and video, someday you will catch up to the Dirtrooster 😝…hehe love how you kept after that cluster even with that stinger still in your hand
Absolutely fkn incredible that you can do all that without wearing protection 👏
Beautiful hive, good job
Just like that!! Yapping your amazing!!😊
😊 thank you
Nicely done, good work buddy...
Nicely done sir.
Awesome video Yappy!!
Thanks. Just another episode of crazy bee fun.
Great job
very nice video. Thanks for sharing
Wow Yappy That is so cool its funny we went to see bees to at this place where they raise bees for honey and i bought some carmel honey and they let everyone hold this bee so very cool and i was thinking of you doing this so cool and people where eating honey of the comb i never did is that bad to eat it ot of that.. A curious epic video never would have thought of them going onto a pallet wicked thanks Yappy
Good to see what you are up to Yappy. Nice save there! Stay cool!
Thanks Julie. Appreciate you stopping by as always.
@@YappyBeeman
Ahh, Yappy - it's my pleasure! As always.
Great job 👍
I love your videos so much. Please post more often, if you can.
I do as they come in. Can't video them all but when I do it's going to be good fun.
The honey is just dripping out of the comb……😮🐝🍯. Mmmmmmmmm.
Good job !
That pallet is kids work compared to a Home Depot warehouse pallet 😂
Amazing you found the queen. That’s experience
Wow that was a lot of bees! Very impressive work.
Thank you my friend. Great time removing them.
Another great video. : )
HA..love plan "Bee"...see how plan "A" goes lolol story of my life...
Awesome video as usual! I was curious though, how many times do you get stung on average during one of these?
That must have been quite a workout pulling those sacks of salt off the hive in that heat (not to mention irate bees with no smoker!) Hope you got a good bunch of honey for your efforts 🙂.
You only have eyes for queens
Too cool ! Thanks
Well done !
Well done yappy🔥✌️😁
This video has the same energy as me helping my step-dad move 16 tons of hay to find the feral kittens that ran under it
That's improvising 🙂 I like it. Shrink rap the pallet and take it home. 🙂 Honey Bees are one of Gods coolest creations.
I would have converted my pool if they would have included the salt !
@@YappyBeeman lol, great video.
Yappy, that was one of your coolest videos! Great job! Oh, and just ignore what Mr. Ed and DirtRooster said.
You NAILED the music!! I say again, GREAT JOB!
Thank you....they just don't have any taste that's all. Bwahahaha.
I love this guy
Imagine ordering some construction material and getting free bees in the shipment, that's a win win
