- Retrieving a Massive Swarm from my bee yard that landed on my neighbors lawn! This was filmed in Northwest New Jersey in July/21. This was my first chance to get the video up.
I've gone down a deep beekeeping rabbit hole the past couple days. I never realized how fascinating it is and how interesting bees are
carefull, it's addictive!
Lol, did you fall down the rabbit hole far enough to get yoir own hive(s)?
I fell down the same hole 2 weeks ago, amd im already planning for next spring 😊
I've been down this beekeeping rabbit hole for about two months now. I'm afraid I may never emerge from here unless a giant bee comes along and caps my cell so I can finish my growth. 🐝 😆
@truthseekercanada I got my hives, smoker, queen cage, queen marker, and everything else I need, took two classes, and finally today I am picking up two packages of bees, oh and I managed to catch a swarm last week. It's been one heck of a journey.
I know what you mean. I am about to establish my first 4 hives and I'm excited to get the nuc boxes and that wont be till spring 25
That swarm is MAAAASSSSIVE!!!!!! Holy cow. I am glad you did not lose them.
This is the most amazing thing. Can never get tired of seeing them march. Thanks for sharing.
That hive doesn't look near big enough, unless it extends a few feet underground.
Never seen a swarm this large on the ground before. This is very amazing Thanks for the video.Up here in NE WI I have a couple of months to go.
That video was last July. I think they clustered on a limb above but it was so heavy it fell to the ground.
Well explained. Your neighbor can’t be too thrilled about your bees swarming into his yard. I would give him a couple of free jars of fresh honey for his trouble.
I don’t do Facebook. ☹️
There ya go! I would too 😄👍🏻❤
They just march into a empty hive if available? Wow, never to old to learn something new. Fascinating video.
I know!
Usually when swarming, they drink as much honey as possible so they can manage for a few days. So crawling is more appealing than flying.
Hard to believe all those bees can fit in the two boxes.
Very informative and interesting video.
Thanks
I love watching the March of the Bees, lol
I've watched about 100 similar videos, but you r the first to explain the process that leads to the swarm and why it happens. Thanks!
You're welcome thank you!
Good luck with the bees GOD BLESS
That's so cool. I caught my first swarm last spring & it was way smaller. That'd be awesome to see on person.
Never seen a swarm this big and so willing to go into the box that fast.
You´re a winner. I never catched a swarm as easy as you!😉
And it´s really huge.
It amazes me how they know how to go in them boxes.
Honey bees are the friendliest bees. I'm allergic, but I've been around very busy hives, swarms, and even been able to hold or pet em without being stung.
I work on houses a lot and wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, etc do sting me, but honey bees and bumble bees are often pretty docile and don't bother me.
Except for Africanized honey bees.
Who would want to pet bees? Yuck!
Wow... Huge swarm of bees , u ought to have put big hive box..
Congratulations
FANTASTIC SWARM! EQUAL FIT FIR 3 -4BIG 10 CELLED FRAMES!! QUEEN SURELY WENT IN..HER FERMONE LEADS THEM IN!! GOOD HONEY OUT PUT!! GRACE OF GOD!! 👏👏👍👍👋🇬🇷
Would be really cool to see this sped up on a steady cam (tripod). Awesome how they all just march right in.
Theyre so cute when they march into bee boxes
You need more than one or two. Thank you for saving them
Better check on the hive they came from! Man that's a big swarm. Caught one last year that took up 2 medium boxes. This looks bigger than that!
This neighbor is awesome and allergic to bee and stay didn't kill the bee respectable
Good morning. This is awesome, this is the first time I've ever seen this. Hope all is well . B safe n take care from Australia 🇦🇺 down under
I've heard the reason they may have landed on the ground instead of in a tree. The queen had not waited quite long enough for her weight to be down to flying far. Since she couldnt fly far the bees stayed with her.
Thanks for info. I was wondering why they were on the ground.
Its good to have cool neighbors. If my neighbors would see a swarm, my beekeeping days would be over...
He was fairly cool... Drove 10 miles to my work to find me and tell me about the swarm!
These bees are very important for the environment! And they're dying off quickly. We need more bee keepers.
This is just AMAZING. What an incredible video. And, what wonderful creatures God designed, when he created the honey bee to do EVERYTHING it does.
@@ironman2326 We just need less humans. The bees were fine for millions of years before us
@@dede4004 lmao
It's good to know that when the bees try to take over the world that we can just set boxes in front of them to appease them.
Imagine a Timelapse of all these guys going in there that’s so cool! Man bees are so fascinating!
Proof of God's existence! (like everything else) :)
@@beetube5041 amen brother ❤️
You deserve way more subs. You will get there. Excellent filing and explanation. I had no idea they even did this.
thankyou... wich i could have done better
If there are 40k bees there - will you be transferring them to a double deep? Beautiful to watch - bees marching into a new home is always fun to watch!
I made 4 nucs out of them!
@@beetube5041 How did you queen the Nucs?
Whenever I see a swarm this big, I think of the "Jaws" movie but subsitute box for boat. Thanks for a very good video.
This is amazingly satisfying 😍😍😍
Nature is amazing, cool bees! Thank you for this video.
Nature is so amazing because Nature's God is so Amazing! :)
Wonderful thank you for making the video
My pleasure!
Great job recording the movement.
Its amazing that many fit in such a small space
Wow nature is so amazing
Im going to carry a swarm box with me all next spring. I missed out on 2 swarms this spring. I was right in the middle of one of them while they were flying in! What an experience!!! Totally hooked now. Have picked up a couple starter 10 frame langstroth setups and am prepping a bee yard on my property. Gonna have a nice bee home by spring.
Your neighbors sure didn't lie! W O W !
So beautiful!
This was amazing!
🇹🇹
That is one hell of a swarm
It looks like a "Triumph" for the Queen🐝👸🏼.
Well done :)
I don’t know if I agree or disagree with you. The reason is, where I am at, there are people actually attacking beehives to post on UA-cam ( yes, there videos are still up). I found one swarm who beehives was beaten up on the ground and couldn’t be fix😭. The swarm was on the ground not far from it. I called a friend and he even stated how he reported several people for destroying beehives and how he think it was most recent. He was able to get them and omg, I was there with no gear. Not once did I get attacked or stung. I would have kept them myself but I live in the city and neighbors are too close, lol. However my friend did give me a jar with honeycombs 😍.
I think they're going in for a Rock Concert. I heard MetaliComb and Kid Necter are playing.
"Honey for nothin' and wax for free!"
Very nice coverage. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. Signed, A Wanna Be BeeKeeper who has been watching UA-cam and learning locally for 2 years now. By the way, you gave a great synopsis of the life of a bee in this video. Love it!
Thank you!
That's so memorizing.
There has to be close to 50,000 to 65,000 bees there that’s a huge swarm wow.
INCREDIBLE swarm my god
I was watching a bee tree they stayed in a tight bark hickory in a fork up probably 25 feet off the ground. I watched them for 3 years but they were gone last year.
I hope they didn't die. I heard honey bees were the victim of a virus or something
is there enough room in those two boxes for them? ... looks like a lot of bees there ....
I made 4 nucs out of them!
Hilarious! Guessing you put feeds on right away? Subscribed.
Yes... I fed them well! :)
That's some candyman stuff right there
I'm pretty confident the queen is already inside the box. That's the only way to get all the workers even convinced that's the direction go go, I would think. Congratulations on saving these bees. 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful bees
this is flippin awesome!
That is absolutely massive
Holy sh… that is a lot of bees
Was a Great Video, until you ended it abruptly and went to The Nasty Facebook to go live, When You Could have Went Live on UA-cam instead and Had an Awesome Video. 💯
I've never seen that many bees swarming my life that's crazy
You need a bigher box. Hahaha
sure did!!
Dude that is like 3 of my swarms badass hive
Hurry add more boxs lolz
Those poor 5 frame boxes are going to burst. Thats incredible!!!
Amazing...
GORGED HONEYBEES GORGED ON HONEY!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣…..HONEY MAKES ME SLEEPY….IF I GORGED MYSELF ON HONEY….I MIGHT BE SLEEP A WEEK STRAIGHT!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂….FASCINATING INDEED!!!
@BeeTube - where are you located and when did you catch this swarm?
North West New Jersey. That was last July
Wow, is the box big enough? 😂 That is alot of bees!!
Very fascinating video. I’m going to start swarm trapping in the spring.
They're like our rides here
The last time i had encounter with bees is that they decided to fly towards my face after i switched off the lights near the hive
Magnifique !!!
Will you please share your mix ratio for the lemongrass spray? I have some swarm traps to spray. This video is amazing!!!!
It was really Pro-Health from Mannlake. You can be very liberal with it. Probably a tablespoon per gallon.
@@beetube5041 Thank you.
That's a WOW of a march
Thats so cool 😎 to watch
You need 3 more boxes too !
Correct! I made 4 nucs out of them.
How many boxes would this swarm fill?
4 nucs
How long did it take for them to all go in the box?
a few hours... till dark.
@@beetube5041 WOWWW
Thats most bees ive ever seen
Id almost say the queen is in the box. The way they going in says shes already in it
You'll need to go bigger. Nucs are kinda small
I had 4 nuc boxes stacked !
A few times over the years, I have seen large swarms like that having more than one queen. The most I ever saw was four in one huge cluster - there might have been even more in it that I missed.
I captured the extra queens in clips before they got balled and used them to make splits.
Seems you need another box for sure
I'm not very good at visualizing numbers, but that has got to be WAY more than 40k bees
Here's a question... why did they escape? Were they not happy in their home? As someone who has no clue, it strikes my funny bone a bit that they escape to freedom (homelessness?), only to march right back into another box a day or two later LOL.
when a colony grows big enough it produces more than one queen. then the other queen can split off with a group of bees and start a new colony. it's how they multiply and spread.
@@leinonibishop9480 thx!!! 😁😁
Imagine lying in that and making angels
How are they all going to fit in there?
good luck with your work
Thanks, you too!
I've never seen bees do this!!!
My mind: JUMP ON IT!!
Show, que maravilha! Enxame grande e dócil 👏👏👏🐝🐝🐝 like de Taió SC 🇧🇷 Porque estão no chão? É um resgate ou manejo?
I tried to find the rest of this; I would really like to see the rest. If it is on Facebook, I couldn’t find it. If someone could point me in the right direction , I would appreciate it.
I have more coming... www.homesweetcomb.com same on facebook in n.j.
This is the biggest swarm I've seen.
Wow, that's enough for 2 or 3 colonies!
4!
Impressionnant j adore
were they walking.?
or crawling.?
Probably more than one queen in there. They needed more space obviously.
Wow 😲 😲 😲 that’s sick
I’ve never seen this many bees before and there all going home to mammy
Marching to there deat without a care in the world..
You must get stung a lot...what’s the most times you’ve been stung on the job???
Thats layered bees...1st layer is walking over several layers under!!
Sometimes its stressful living with one person. Bee life would suck
