Headphone Users Beware!!!! amazing audio !!!!
Here we go again.....Holy cow what an amazing experience.
My daughter came in to tell me there was a massive honey bee swarm flying around in the back yard. I went out to check on things and saw the cloud of bees flying and wondered if they would land nearby so I could capture them or were they just passing through. I never expected to find what happened next. They went straight to some old boxes I had in storage. Once they started landing it made sense. Bees go to where bees have been and the smell of the empty boxes is a no brainer. But could I capture the queen before she went in? I almost did. I had her right in my hand but couldn't hold her to show y'all. But that didn't scare me. She went back airborne and I knew she would be back. All her daughters would guide her to where she needed to be. And just like itbwas supposed to be, I found her on the side of the box and watched her walk right in.
I hope you enjoy the video and the experience of being in a swarm of bees from the comfort of that side of the screen.
Please do not try this at home without the supervision of a knowledgeable bee keeper to walk you through it. Bees can be dangerous if not handled with respect and protection.

A honey bee (also spelled honeybee) is a eusocial flying insect within the genus Apis of the bee clade, all native to mainland Afro-Eurasia.[1][2] After bees spread naturally throughout Africa and Eurasia, humans became responsible for the current cosmopolitan distribution of honey bees, introducing multiple subspecies into South America (early 16th century), North America (early 17th century), and Australia (early 19th century).[1]
Honey bees are known for their construction of perennial colonial nests from wax, the large size of their colonies, and surplus production and storage of honey, distinguishing their hives as a prized foraging target of many animals, including honey badgers, bears and human hunter-gatherers. Only 8 surviving species of honey bee are recognized, with a total of 43 subspecies, though historically 7 to 11 species are recognized. Honey bees represent only a small fraction of the roughly 20,000 known species of bees.
The best known honey bee is the western honey bee, (Apis mellifera), which was domesticated for honey production and crop pollination. The only other domesticated bee is the eastern honey bee (Apis cerana), which occurs in South, Southeast, and East Asia. Only members of the genus Apis are true honey bees,[3] but some other types of bees produce and store honey and have been kept by humans for that purpose, including the stingless bees belonging to the genus Melipona and the Indian stingless or dammar bee Tetragonula iridipennis. Modern humans also use beeswax in making candles, soap, lip balms and various cosmetics, as a lubricant and in mould making using the lost wax process.
Etymology and name
The genus name Apis is Latin for "bee".[4][5] Although modern dictionaries may refer to Apis as either honey bee or honeybee, entomologist Robert Snodgrass asserts that correct usage requires two words, i.e., honey bee, because it is a kind or type of bee. It is incorrect to run the two words together, as in dragonfly or butterfly, which are appropriate because dragonflies and butterflies are not flies[6] and have no connection with dragons or butter. Honey bee, not honeybee, is the listed common name the Entomological Society of America Common Names of Insects Database, and the Tree of Life Web Project. - Навчання та стиль
7:59 1st Contact with the Queen.
11:54 2nd Contact.
Good record for those who can't watch longer than a 30 second tiktok video. Lol
@@YappyBeeman I can't comment for some odd (Tube) reason but that was un-REAL! I've seen a bunch of marches but NEVER seen a group going into a box on a DEAD RUN! And the Queen just waltzing right in as pretty as you please. The icing on that cake was a FOOT THICK! And Mr. Ed and The Rooster may be bee bare right now. They came beecause they knew you were going to bee looking for them anyway. YAAY Yapper! And all I could hear was BEES! God Bless All Yall~
@@YappyBeeman I know it's definitely for them and not for me. ;)
Just curious as to why you're not getting stung
@@conanyorke8977 Might be the smell.................
The scout bees must’ve said, “Girls girls girls!!! You won’t BELIEVE what we found! A fabulous new house and it’s already FULLY furnished!” 😂
I absolutely love his accent when he's all "Look at all them bees!" His excitement is so wholesome ♡
Free, self-hiving bees, you can't beat that at all! I'm glad things are going great for you down there! Thanks for sharing the fun!
I forgot I had that vacancy sign out and well......thanks for stopping by Sir.
This may be the "ultimate" of your episodes.
Your channel seems to be bees in the wild versus the animal husbandry that others post.
But this one was pure National Geographic. You happened upon this miraculous evolutionary masterpiece. No hands on manipulation. No wrangling.
And then to capture on video the march of the queen into her new queendom.....I can't think of how more eloquent the experience could have been.
Hope your daughter got high praise for bringing your attention to this event.
She did and thank you for the great compliment.
I just found your channel, I love bees and the sound of bees. There was a sign, "open for permanent residency". 😉
Welcome and Thank You for jumping in. Fyi...I have a new video coming out in 15 mins. Hope you check it out and enjoy it. You are actually the first one to know this. How cool is that for timing.
I love this channel, such wholesome energy with a terrifying backdrop of bees.
It's has that look of danger.
Yep. Though I do miss JP not posting new videos.
It's "family fun" for the whole hive!
@@beehivewithaview9760 why isn’t he posting anymore? I’ve been looking for new videos
@@channellurker1503 Yappy would be the one to ask. Much like yourself, I'm just a avid viewer of his channel. FWIW, JP is my favorite UA-cam beekeeper.
We became interested in beekeeping & learning about all things Honey🐝s after watching videos from Yappy, Rooster, & the others in your circle of friends. During the winter of 2022, we spent our evenings watching YT & learning from you guys. We realized quickly how important it is that we learn from those who have a passion for the 🐝s rather than those only in it for profit.
As of right now, all of our hives came from a swarm that we removed. We are in NE Indiana so our swarm season is a bit later than yours, but we have already had 1 successful removal last week, 2 so far this week with another one tomorrow. We now have 10+ hives & we continue to add more with each swarm removal. Grateful we were able to build our hives without paying for a single bee.
You've taught us how different each swarm can be & the characteristics that are important to pick up on. No matter if it is a simple ball on a shrub or a well-established colony inside a dead tree, we can always find a Yappy video to help guide us through each new scenario we encounter. Your explanations are perfect for me because I have to know "the why" in every situation while my husband is able to watch what you do & replicate it...best of both worlds! We've learned more than we ever dreamed. Yappy, thank you for instilling confidence and encouraging us to move beyond just a "new hobby."
We are so thankful we have found our new passion & also proud to play a small part in helping to strengthen the bee population & strong genetics within our local community.🐝❤️🐝
This video is a perfect example of your appreciation for the beauty of the swarm & the care you take to protect our honey🐝s.
Thank you, Yappy!!🤗
I admire your ability to have the knowledge of a seasoned beekeeper, crossed with a kindergartner’s excitement.
Thanks for sharing that experience, wow.
"If you build it they will comb"
Incredible! Word must be getting out, it's like they were looking for you. They were absolutely *running* into that hive!
I'm a headphone user, and I found the buzz to be soothing.
What else could you ask for Yappy?.... The bees are now coming to you! Thank you for taking care of bees - you rock!
I guess word got out amongst the bees about what a great "bee daddy" you are. ❤
We love your channel.
I adore how much admiration, love, and respect this man has for bees.
A bee flew out to see a friend. His friend said they were looking for a new place. The bee said, "I know a guy".
yes Yappy, this is so cool! I wish I could send you a picture of what happened to me...I had TWO swarms arrive at exactly the same time! UNBELIEVABLE! Each went with their queen to their separate boxes.
Oh that would be awesome to see. I am jealous to say the least.
Yappy: "I've even got a bee on my phone."
With your reputation as a bee whisperer, I'm seriously surprised that they didn't give you a 📞 before they came.
I missed the text but I'm sure they tried. Lol
I didn’t plan on watching this whole thing but that was some of the coolest shit I’ve seen in a long time. Gotta love bees man
I don't generally straight upload a video but this was so much fun. Thanks for taking the time to see it all.
So wait did a random swarm literally showed up at your house and claimed a random bee box?
When you’re such a good beekeeper that the bees come to you!
I’m new to your channel and love how passionate you are about your work . Some people don’t understand how important bees are and I’m so glad you’re there to take such great care of a species that takes care of us . Much respect sir .I got excited when the queen went in the box as well 😊
The bees watch yappy beeman on youtube and decided that is where they want their new house to be.
Bee party at Yappy’s house. That’s a big swarm. Thanks for sharing.
Byob.......bring your own bees ....lol
You keep commenting on the noise, but honestly? All that buzzing just becomes a rather therapeutic hum, even with headphones. Almost a bee ASMR.
That was amazing! This might be my favourite Yappy video. They all heard Yappy had some space to rent & they flew on in. They knew you'd take care of them. This time they chose you. =) ❤️
I even gave them free cable and wifi. They will be happy for sure
Easiest catch you have had . They came to you knowing they would be safe. Love watching you get so excited!!!!
They heard about you and moved in!
Yappy, thank you uploading it immediately unedited. That was SO COOL! I loved every minute of it. Thanks for letting the camera run so we could get it all including your🐝 excitement.
Thank you. It just seemed like it was good enough as is. I appreciate the feedback.
This one one of my favorite videos you've done! So freaking cool!
Thank you for the comment. It was definitely a lot of fun to be in the middle of.
You single handedly made me not scared of bees, thank you!
2nd time watching this one in two days! This might be one of my favorite Yappy videos. So cool!!! And the excitement is infectious ☺️
So respectful of these girls. I freakin love it.
Part of what I love about Yappy Beeman is the joy and wonder he finds in bees. Thank you for sharing this special moment with us so we can appreciate the bees like you do!
It's my pleasure.
The best thing is hearing how happy you sound and how much you are enjoying this. Fantastic. Loved all the buzzing. Beautiful bees.
I do love this stuff. Bees are an amazing creature once you get to know them
It's hard to express into words how amazing it is that the bees have somehow recognized the amount of kindness and respect Yappy has for them, and have decided,of their own accord to just... return to the beeman.
It's absolutely fascinating to say they least
Thats a great way of looking at it.
Awesome! Your reputation is so great that they come looking for you! 🥰
I mean, the noise nearly gave me a panic attack, but it's really cool to see all those bees!
Yappy, I love how respectful you are to the bees. You do Alabama proud.
Yappy is the man!!! He has bees inviting themselves to live in his prime real estate. 🐝🌻🐝🌻🐝
THAT. WAS. AWESOME!!! I started watching the March and thought "If Yappy finds the queen I swear..." and you drop her! HAHA but no worries! I bow to the Bee Master Yappy 👑
You did see the end where we just watched her march right in I hope. Awesome stuff.
How honored you must feel that this massive swarm chose your yard & moved themselves right in, please & thank you! Hope the triple stack is in good enough shape to house them...cause it's theirs now. 😄🐝
It actually is. I will probably get honey off this one by June.
You've won the academy award for bee videos! 🎉🎉🎉
Wow. Amazing, capturing a swarm that large, but then documenting the queen heading to her throne. Amazing stuff
I had a nightmare like this once.
Yappy : THIS IS SO COOL!
Lol.....my dreams are your nightmares. Good balance I guess.
He's so calm with bees on him..and all around him..if I was there with him.. u would just see me running in the background....like ive got ants in my pants..and not regular ants..like red ants...freaking out!!! Lol 😂
When a swarm decides to set up shop in one of your boxes IN YOUR BACKYARD...AND you show us the queen going into the box herself, it's a win-win.
They literally went, "All your bases are belong to us."
I don't know about headphones people, but I thought that sound was amazing! I WISH I had had headphones and you had recorded in 7.1. After watching so many of your videos now, it's such a happy noise, knowing that these are happy bees. (And yes, I stayed for the whole thing!) The march at the end was, as they always are, amazing.
Kudos for 14 mins of bee noise. Try it again with headphones. Its amazing
That was so beautiful to watch, nature at its best
Yappy: Can you hear em’ ?
My left ear: YES
I had my right earbud in. 😂
I look forward to a follow up video to see how the hives doing. 😊🐝
Me too.....
A most awesome sight! Love how we got to see the Queen march in!!💖
Amazing footage and find! You didn’t even have to do a cut out lol! So happy you were able to witness and film it. Thank you so much for sharing! 🌺🇵🇸
It was my pleasure. I wish they were all this easy.
Congratulations on your new hive courtesy of mother nature. They knew where they needed to be. It was awesome to watch!!! I was just as excited for you as I was watching it happen.
Thank you. I love this stuff. Nature is so amazing.
You are more than welcome. I had to show my husband right away. I am going to show my grandson tomorrow so he can see and understand why Grammie never hurts a bee, just help out to find a flower not my perfume.
Congrats! I caught a swarm in my back yard this weekend and I hear the same excitement and wonder in your voice.
Oh it is. Every time!
How do you know if a swarm is angry or not? I’d be running down the street if a I saw that!
A true swarm nearly never is angry, they don't have a reason to be.
New swarm watches UA-cam, subscribes to Yappy, and then decides to move in with him.
Word got around and this is the place to bee 🐝
Must have been like a dream for you, Yappy! Only for you!
3:40 The bees come marching two by two, hurrah! 🐝 🐝
Great song for this .....
I am 71. In the late sixties early seventies my father became a beekeeper at the age of 50 in order to support the almonds he planted. And he needed a secondary and tertiary income since we had just started the farm. It is amazing to watch beekeepers just go into a swarm of bees and not be concerned. I learned a heck of a lot about bees and it's all amazing.
2nd income renting out hives
3rd income amazing honey
Yes it is. And 4th is doing great jobs as a remover.
That was AWESOME!! I have never seen a wild swarm like that before…quite frankly, it would positively terrify me if I was ever in one as I am severely allergic to bees… but, what a beautiful sight to see this … thank you for capturing such a beautiful work of nature and sharing it with us!
Yappy this video is incredible! Love being in the middle of a swarm it’s my ZEN✌🏼 Thanks for sharing
There is no feeling that I can describe to be in the middle of a swarm,! So happy that you got to film this! Nice job!
Thanks Joe. It's an amazing experience for sure.
😊 The Bee Whisperer is famous in the Bee Grapevine...
Holy crap that is so many bees.
When I was a kid my neighbour was a beekeeper. One day his bees swarmed and looked like a cloud and then they settled in a tree. I remember being terrified and wondering how on earth he would get them back. Thanks to you I know it now! I never expected them to march so fast, absolutely fascinating. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for sharing the story. I'm glad this filled in the gaps of understanding.
That was neat. I know this is almost a year ago. That's the first time I've ever seen the Workers direct the Queen to where she needs to go. Showing her in the new house they picked out. She was trying to go up and they surrounded her and said wrong way and literally "walked her in the door"! WOW
AMAZING! Nature at its finest and right in of all yeards yours!😂😂😂
The build up, the anticipation, the resignation that it might not happen then suddenly THERE SHE IS! Hello mama... Watch her walk right in!.... well that was awesome... Just watch the whole thing and enjoy the ride!
Thanks Ian. I was a little amazed myself and glad it went that way. I love for everyone to see her.
No better swarm trap than some old equipment. That’s a big swarm. Wow
This is the type of guy that would let bees inside his house
As long as they "bee-hav"

💯 💯 💯 💯
I’m glad I could hold on for the entire video, with earbuds :)
It was worth it to see the queen again, She was looking beautiful!
Your poor ears. I put some on and watched just to see how it would sound. I loved every frame of it.
@@YappyBeeman yeah🤣 I had to turn down the volume but it sounds so cool and I’ve learned so much about bees that I never would have even thought about.
this is my favorite video of yours, because you've put out all this good will toward the bees, and now they come honor you with a visit and say wsup at your house! so lovely :) thanks for what you do Yappy!!
As from the bees perspective, idk if I'd want that Queen or not. She keeps getting lost 😁 that second cluster of bees on the ground just short of the hive, I agree. I think she landed short there. Especially since we know she's horrible at directions and finding the right address LOL then when you messed with her you got what little sense of direction she did have ALLLL messed up lol and then the workers bees had to surround her and walk her in the door. This proves it's a good thing the Queen don't leave the hive unless she's moving 😂 This one wouldn't find her back home. She'd get lost coming back from the corner store with her little bags lol
Beautiful sound. Awesome video!
I love it when these videos start with the bees flying everywhere and to us it's like "yeah, that's me, you're probably wondering how I ended up in this situation" but for Yappy it's the best day of his life.
The adoration this man has for the bees
Dang Yappy. You just have swarms turning themselves in over there.
Same thing happened with us last year. We caught it on camera right when a swarm was moving in to our trap. Such an amazing experience.
It's really cool to hear the buzzing, it's kinda like a warmer sound? It's not a mad sound. Poor bees, it's a chaotic moving day. :D
When you're so good at your job, the job starts doing itself for you! Lol
Lol......dang skippy! That's funny stuff right there
I love a Parade!
Amazing! All those beautiful bees! Loved seeing the queen run in there. Never seen anything like it!
Gosh what a wonderful sound. Had this happen in my back yard 3 years ago. They came to an empty bottomless stack of boxes on a cart.
They go where bees have been for sure.
I guess you got really good reviews at Airbnbee
is that a speed luigi i see?
the noise?

That was incredible to watch. That was a huge swarm, and they voluntarily came into your apiary! Thanks for the video.
They know a good place when they find one. Welcome to Yappyland
Yappy that's not a march that's a RUN!! Amazing!!!! I wish I could see one in person, that would just make my year!!!
I just watched the moon high in the sky and a summer bat, late visitor the fox and off to bed and as if by magic to end the day perfectly I watched your absolutely amazing video. Thank you, beam me up to be around your family of bees. 🐝
