Dr. Webb, I just want to say what a huge inspiration you are to me, everytime I watch your videos it's like you give off this energy that makes me feel like I can accomplish anything that I can put my mind to. Any time I have doubt I re-watch your videos and it gives me a boost of confidence and allows me to go at it again. I'm a nursing student and want to study medicine, I'm studying extra hard to get straight A's to prove to myself I can do it. So thanks you So so so much.
Me too. I am an academic department business manager and my team is always asking for more info on the business side. We have two residents doing MBAs in their research year now actually.
One day I will meet you. You’ve been one my main inspirations to continue to work towards getting into medicine. I always love these videos, thank you.
Antonio creating this platform was genius. Wish I did this through my law school journey and into my practice. He took an idea and expound on it to create a platform were he can speak to a audience that has walked with him from the beginning to this point of his journey. 💯.
Congrats man, I’m not even in college or know what I want to do in life, but I get happy when I see people have their life figured out, there’s something about it that I’m fond of.
WOW that’s AWESOME!! I will definitely be subscribing to the two different channels as well! Also thanks for linking helpful informative information in the description box!! Really appreciate it! Love what you’re doing! Keep up the great work and stay safe and healthy! Best of luck!!👍☺️
I LOVE when my neurosurgeons do consulting work. We also have a ton of vendors that come into our simulation lab to do CME events. The spine cases are fun and allows my lab C-Arm to get some use. Enjoy Charleston!
Thanks for another great video! You talking about creating two more channels really made me curious about how your typical days are structured. With your work as a surgeon, youtuber, consultant, businessman, dad, etc., how do you find enough hours in the day to do everything? It'd be cool to see a video like that esp for those of us who have similar aspirations.
black jecha, that kind of swelling is always good for releasing financial pressure. By the way, what most people do not realise is that there is a positive side to swelling even in the human body, as it prevents itself from being a much bigger and spread-out internal pressure
Are there any resources about the spine and skeletal system in general that you recommend? I want to know more about the spine and the skeletal system because I’m thinking of specializing in that area after I enter medical school
Haha I was actually accepted into Texas A&M's EnMed program. It's super dope, with an integrated medicine/engineering curriculum, biodesign projects, and their new facilities are outstanding. Unfortunately, I had to turn down the offer, primarily due to cost and how new the program was :( As a BME turned med student, what you're doing is my dream. Thanks for the content Dr. Webb!
@@dalton9139 Well actually, there's also Carle Illinois which is a similar 4 year MD/M.S. in Eng program! UT Austin does preclinicals in 1 year, so your 2nd year is clinicals and you can spend your 3rd getitng an M.S. in BME. Also Duke and a few other programs have BME tracts. But IMO, EnMed > Carle Illinois >>> those programs
@@khalidstevens83 Tuition is 20k/year in state and ~32k/year OOS. Some OOS students get scholarships that give htem 20k/year. Personally, I was looking at 18k/year, which I know is a bargin for most med schools. Dr. Webb paid some pretty high tuition (IIRC 50k+/yr for his school). But Houston has a really high cost of living and I had better offers elsewhere!
I have a question which is better a neuro spine surgeon or an orthopedic spine surgeon in term of number of cases and variety and the difficulty of operations and last but not least incomes 🧐 (Can you make a vid about that )
Can you do day in the life of total joint replacement/adult reconstruction? Even the residency maybe. Although I know what this looks like I just wanna see a black man doing it.

Dr Webb I’ve been following for 2 years now. I am heading to MUSC in the fall, keep doing your thing man!!!
Love your content! As a resident I love seeing what physicians do outside of medicine. Looking forward to the business side of medicine!!

Something like this.

I have a relative who works at MUSC in Charleston,SC. Her and her family live there as well.
Very cool
I can now see an element of pride in the young surgeon's smile. I guess the bank account is swelling with each day l.o.l

Dr. Webb,
Whenever you travel, does your family go with you? Or does your wife stay home with the baby?
The drone footage at the beginning of your video is of Columbia.
What’s he mean by it’s a 20th century thing that’s going to revolutionize?
Wow non stop!
some of the clips in your video are very low in volume, great video though!
Agreed. I had a hard time hearing this one.
Thought my hearing was going...
Thanks for the feedback

It sucks that there is only one program but I'm sure other institutions will start similar programs as well.
Whats the projected cost of the program??
