Loved hearing the laughter in your voice. You must be feeling better. I'm impressed with the complexity of your quick spaghetti sauce. The only things I might add are a bit of pesto, pepperoni, and crumbled bacon to chef it up a bit more. I do use carrot but never thought to cook and mash it. I'll try that in future.
I pray you are feeling better soon. I’m amazed that you not only get up and take care of your home and family but then make a video for us. I remember those of days when my kids were young. It didn’t matter if mommy felt bad things still had to get done. Any day that I watch one of your videos and hear your angelic voice it makes me feel better.
I have never heard of mock pineapple.... I'm not a fan of pineapple, but my youngest daughter is, and her garden was very prolific with zucchini this last year, I will share this idea with her, as she lives canning new things too! I made pretzel buns this week instead of just making rolls , or bread and my husband loved them, I also made meringue cookies with some leftover egg whites, those were also very well received, especially from my gluten free friends. Thank you for sharing all your ideas, and food tricks, much appreciated!
I think my favorite way to use stuff up is a “leftovers” omelet. Spaghetti noodles, rice, potatoes, veges…whatever I have is sautéed up and used as omelet filling, along with garlic powder and cheese. I often top it with any kind of sauce that seems right, from pizza sauce to gravy to honey mustard. Somehow it just always seems to turn out delicious.
Oh my goodness. Your video was such a pleasure to watch. You are so neat and tidy. Your food presentation is second to none. Thank you so much for sharing. Pat from Queensland Australia.
Victimized by the broiler! That is me! I have literally taken things out of the broiler on fire, it is a family joke now 🙄😂 last night I put bread under the broiler and got a phone call - burnt! Second batch, another phone call - burnt! 😂 Love your videos, they inspire me to get to cooking and prepping ahead.
I am currently carnivore but I loved how you make bread and everything from scratch. If I were to incorporate carbs again-- I need to learn your skills.
Definitely going to make spaghetti this week. Chicken pot pie and spam and egg scramble one of my husband’s favorites. Hope you are feeling better soon. Thank you for doing your video even though you didn’t feel well. God bless
Loved the video. I am definitely going to make the french bread recipe. Everything looks so delicious. You are such an encourager. I am a senior citizen and have cooked for most of life, but you always inspire me to try something different. Thank you Kelsey, and God bless you and your family
I hope you start feeling better. I'm on a mission to create anything and everything with all the pumpkin and Jerusalem Artichokes we grew this year. My favorite so far is Pumpkin or Butternut squash tortilla's and Jerusalem Artichokes and Black Bean Burgers on homemade English Muffins with a bit of mayo and hot sauce. I love pantry challenges as it creates some awesome meals and lets you use your pantry without grocery shopping
Ah, the broiler. lol. Gets the better of me too. I actually have started leaving the oven door open a crack. Not only does it remind me visually that I have something in there but it releases a bit of the heat so it’s a tad more forgiving.
Well, I’m impressed! Despite not feeling well you fed your family creative, wholesome meals with a flourish…the plating just elevated them to another level.Hope you are feeling better by now Kelsey. Thanks for a great video!
I hope you’re feeling better, Kelsey. You did a great job of being creative in the kitchen this week. I’ve been on the hunt for a quick pizza crust too! Thanks for sharing. ❄️
I love your meal ideas! I had to chuckle when I saw you break your spaghetti before cooking it. I do that as well as it's so practical. I'm not Italian so I figure it's okay to do so. 😂
Thank you for sharing your days with us! Your french bread looks very good. I can't do the butter but I'm sure they could be left plain. I have a recipe for 10 minute pizza dough I've been making for over 20 years. It's quick and easy and turns out great. Hope you feel better soon.❤
This all looks so yummy! I’m glad you’re able to keep going with your challenge. I got my week one video up but got stopped in my tracks with Covid. Now everybody else in my family has Covid, so I’m still not able to finish week two of the challenge. I’m hoping to jump back in with the week three on Monday. Everything looks delicious!
I am with you.... at the sick stage...but we still have to get stuff done... LOL. Hugs from Esquimalt as I am going between tea and ice cream.... sigh...HUGS
New sub here. ❤ I’m doing the pantry challenge too, for the first time this year! We haven’t done anything unique yet but smoked a bunch of bbq and that cleared out some space in our freezer. Tonight I made beef ramen noodles for the first time. It was delicious and I’ll be posting it in my video for next week. I also have a few bags of cranberries I want to use to can cranberry juice. Thank you for that pizza dough recipe I’ve been looking for one too. I hope you feel better soon. ❤
Check out three rivers homestead's video from today. She used home canned carrots to make a carrot soufflé for breakfast one day....could be another way to use your canned carrots.
Thank you for the video. I am a first time watcher. FYI, your razor blade bread cutter, a lame, is pronounced Lah-MAY. It is a French word. I love the designs that result!
Love to know more about using instant or other, yeast to make breads and pizza doughs...no sourdough busines... just mix in my K.Aid...rest, punch down, shape and bake!
Everything looks so delicious. If you find a good GF Pizza dough please share. Feel better soon and thanks for all you do on UA-cam. Love your content !!
Hope you are feeling better! Could you maybe address in a video what you eat when you are fixing something else for the family? I'm not doing a full elimination diet, but I am removing things from my diet for a time to see what, if any, difference it makes. I've learned nightshades are not my friends, but I also learned that I can handle gluten when it is part of a whole grain recipe (finally feel like I have mastered baking with fresh milled flour). That said, there are nights when my family wants fast food but I don't, so I would love some single serving dinner ideas that are healthy. I can't remember, are you doing carnivore? I think I have convinced the family to try carnivore, but I need to give it a go soon... before we start bringing in a harvest of temptations from the garden! And I just ordered restaurant organizers for our commercial freezer, so this weekend I am pulling *everything* out, getting a properly inventory list, and hopefully getting a carnivore meal plan together if I think we're stocked up enough for it. The original goal was to organize it and make room to order a quarter or half a cow but I'm not sure there is room. Take good care of yourself girl! I know with your personality you are not likely to give yourself a break while feeling crummy, especially during the pantry challenge and raising little ones. But I hope you are finding ways to rest and recover, and getting help to keep all the balls in the air.
Everything you made looks delicious! I just love the panty challenge videos as they really inspire me to use all that home grown canned food! The waffle iron you have makes waffles so fast! I couldn’t believe how fast it worked. What is the brand, may I ask? Definitely will be looking up that plum sauce for chicken. Hope you feel better soon!
I hope your feeling better, I found the link for the dry ing. for the waffle mix but didn't the amounts for the wet ing. did I miss it? Anyway I enjoyed this video. Take care....
I thought I heard you recently say you were carnivore only, if true, would you mind sharing what you eat while making these meals for your family. I’m the only carnivore & cook/griller, so need to make other sides, etc. for family. Love to know what you eat, if would be very helpful since I’m new to this way of eating. Thanks 😊
DreamingofAlaska Alaska here. Just notice your handle. Had to say hello. We live off pantry and freezer almost year-round, living so far North. I made lentils for the first time. Son made chicken fajitas one night and chicken Alfredo another.

Please show some recipes for using up pickles (beside potato salad or eating beside burgers, etc.) - I've got a ton of both dill and B&B

Everything looks delicious. We cook Everything from scratch as well. It makes such a difference. What type of flour do you use?
Thank you! I use a mix of things, mostly white organic AP, some whole wheat, white wheat, and then fresh milled einkorn and kamut!

Your pasta cupboard looks like mine 😂

New to your channel. Glad I found it. What is the baking time for the Dutch Babies?
About 25 minutes, it should be set and puffy ☺️
I hope your feeling better, I found the link for the dry ing. for the waffle mix but didn't the amounts for the wet ing. did I miss it? Anyway I enjoyed this video. Take care....
In the linked video description you’ll find the wet ingredients needed ☺️

Do you ever have a problem with things sticking to your cast iron? Whenever i clean mine past the black i get sticking
I hope you feel better soon ❤. I've never had a Dutch baby before, is it like a pancake or French toast?
More like French toast but extra custardy!

You can! I just keep them in the fridge to warm up throughout the week for breakfast ☺️

Yep don’t ask me to do broiler or toast it’s most likely going to get forgotten for a sec too long lol
Lol 😂 it happens to the best of us!
