I had the black ones, on my type 1 engine for years , they were great pipes. glad you brought them out in stainless steel now,
Great exhaust for lowered bugs
just waiting for it
Excellent, I want a shirt like this.
thanks ST! I will let our Product team know
@@EMPI_Inc thanks
I tried to install this on my bug with heater boxes and it will not fit. On the right side the cylinder #1 input is 3/4" too long and on the left #3 is 1/2" too long. This is a nice looking unit but, will not work with heater boxes, J-tubes only.
In the add it says dosent fit heater boxes I’m confused
I know the steel versions of these have a much improved sound over a stock exhuast without being excessively loud. However, there's basically no power improvement over stock with this design so there's no real advance with this exhuast having mandrel bends.
thanks for sharing your opinions
Does it fit with your oil-pump and filter combo like it's black-painted counterpart 00-3418-0 ?
we have asked our Tech team to review your question and will share their answer asap
Erland, Thank you for your interest in our products. Our oil pump filter combo will not fit the 00-3421-0 exhaust but our 00-9252-0 Full Flow Remote Filter kit works well with that exhaust.
bought this and it doesn't fit. On the right side the tube that goes into the heat exchanger is too long and I can't get it to fit.
hi Roger sorry to hear you are having a fitment issue-will you please send pics to robm@empius.com, I will share with our engineering team immediately
