That little metal piece is for fitting and removing a choke on the end of the barrel.

I live in Kentucky we get em for $240 but 300 isn’t bad at all cali is a shit state for guns tho so makes sense everything there is a lil more expensive probably

Mine only came with one barrel size 18.5” which is legal. Anything shorter 18” is illegal
