Thank you for doing this. Unfortunately the performance of the coating may not be at its best. The applicator you used put on a layer of coating that is way too thick. We supply the foam applicator for a reason, it’s engineered to work best with our coating. MF applicators deposit too thick of a layer of coating. Putting it on too thick will hinder performance, especially in the first week or so. Like all DIY Detail products, less is more.
I went back and reviewed my uncut video. I waited almost 4 minutes exactly before starting to level the coating… Even if it was put on a little thick, wouldn't it have time to properly flash off some or bond on the clearcoat?
Awesome, can't wait to see how they compare. I'm not a big fan of the Mohs application. It flashes too fast for me, I really want to work an entire big panel and then have a minute or two to spare.
Often times I will apply Mohs to a whole panel..from what I understand even tho Mohs is "sweating", you still have a few minutes to level it. Sometimes I do 2 whole doors at a time before I go back and level them.
@@waxmanvids5015 I see. I did mine on a day where it was 90% humidity and high temp and I did have some high spots because I waited too long and didn't identify them carefully enough. I'm sure it's not that bad if you do it in the recommended conditions. Still, I preferred the application of the ADS wheel coating I used.
I cant decide between Gyeon Can Coat EVO and the MOHS EVO+ Gyeon cure. I want to ceramic coat my Chrysler Pacifica but its going to be outdoor since I don't have a garage. I am inclined towards 2 layers MOHS since it flashes quickly and a coat Gyeon pure as suggested works as the sacrificial layer. I am terrified of over spray of the Gyeon can coat if I cant catch it on time too
1 or 2 layers of mohs is all ya need! in my opinion, I would not put cancoat or even pure on top of it, because Mohs out performs both of those... you will be fine applying it as long as you are out of direct sunlight, so do it in a garage or when the sun goes down or in the morning...
I used the DIY 3 year graphene on my mustang, and I can say that I have never felt another coating that his this kind of slickness! Its been about 7 months now and its still just as slick and shiney. I am up in the air on getting the 5 year coating, or one from Blue Coloar called BC7 (for my new blue vehicle) ua-cam.com/video/fgaJFF0K_mE/v-deo.html
Absolutely hate the application of mohs flashes far too fast & can leave high spots especially on soft clearcoat ! I’ve used it many times & it’s coating I absolutely hate PLUS I’ve tested it own personal car & it failed at 9 months with correct maintenance & decontamination. A glorified over rated under performing costing I will not be ever using again .
@@waxmanvids5015 have you PERSONALLY tested it as anyone I know who actually has came back with very mixed feelings. One of the most underwhelming coatings on the market & in real world tests it’s awful
@davida7713 Ive done dozens of customers vehicles as well as my own Bronco Sport with it... just last week a Lincoln aviator came back for a maintenance wash 1.5 yrs after it was initially coated and it was performing amazing... I like the flashing myself and found the key is just to apply a little heavier, and not overwork it. Lay it in 1 motion, not overworking hatch pattern..and buff in like 15 seconds. my only complaint maybe is just to make sure everyone gets the tapwater off of it so they do not get water spots and it may need a water spot remover to unclog it every year after the salt from the roads. I have been trying DIY DETAILS 3 Coatings as well.
UPDATE 2-3-24: DO NOT APPLY DIY GRAPHENE THIS THICK! Use their red foam applicator and not so heavy.

My fav 3 yr by far is Hyperclean Tre’ but it’s a 3yr minimum so more like a 5yr. It’s a durability and hydrophobic monster.
Where is the follow up video? Am I missing it or what?
latest was the 6 month update on my channel ...won't do another one for a few months..

Agree..just applied 5 yr on a Mustang. Initial slickness and gloss are outstanding.

I myself really like iMohs Evo and haven't ran into any failure issues yet..knock on wood!
