RIPCLEAN PHANTOM CLEAR- the BEST wash bucket!
What pad and polish combo did you use for beauty before you coated it ? It looks amazing
thanks! I don't have that info in my notes exactly..but had to 2-step the lowers if I recall they were marred up in bad shape from car washes. A wool pad to cut, and I like a yellow Rupes foam pad to finish with a polish like Sonax Perfect Finish, or Rehab by P&S, or the Gold Standard polish from DIY Detail are my top 3. Rehab #1 for me I think currently.
Thanks for the info ! Sonax perfect finish is definitely one of my favorite finishing polishes with a yellow or white rupes foam pads !
Is that v2 of the ceramic spray sealant? I had purchased v1 and I’m not sure if I had a bad bottle, but it wasn’t very impressive. Every other product I’ve tried from ADS has been phenomenal though.
not sure..Looks like revision was feb 2024, id have to go back and check when I purchase it but im leaning towards mine being V2.
Thank you for the update!
welcome!!
Great update Joel. That Bentley is so sweet. By the way I ordered my Flexzilla hose today 😃
thanks and Yay!!
I wonder if ADS will drop a water spot remover. I feel like it's one of the few things missing in their line. I slowly started converting most of my details chemicals to ADS since they came out. Cant wait to try beads once spring comes around here in Canada.
agree!
Ill buy Beads when I empty my Wet Coat gallon...
I find this very informative. Thank you for pointing this out on a video
thanks for watching!
If u want to see how the ceramic coatings preform long term dont add toppers just wash the car and dry that’s it
Correct. But haven't seen this vehicle for a few months and wanted to see how it was resisting clogging. And told customer I would boost it to get some added protection here thru harsh winter months.
I agree. However, i do like me some Adams Slick & Slide(same as OG drying aid), which has no real longevity. Or C6 Mist, which doesn't really do much and doesn't stack. 😊
@waxmanvids5015 Good point. 👍
Nice job
thanks
Love how your dog is in the background. Great video, and great tips on rinseless washing!
thanks Kay!
Is there a stubby for the dewalt power washer? Cause that’s what I have
not sure!
nice! where did you buy your towels? i like that pad
www.carsupplieswarehouse.com/products/autofiber-flat-out-microfiber-wash-pad?_pos=1&_sid=54a81e37b&_ss=r
thanks for watching! The drying towel is the Twisted Loop from Armour Detail Supply.
Hey! I have been detailing for a few years now and am just about to start doing some coatings. I am in Colorado in pretty dry climates. I have a bottle of this unopened and ready to go once I get my personal truck polished up and prepped to coat. Do you think I’ll have these difficulties in the dryer climate? Or more what type of humidity the garage is? Just curious. Let me know your thoughts if possible thanks!
Hey Garrett I will say I give you credit for jumping right into the deep end with a formidable Coating! :) You ll be ok just keep your work area small and level it (buff) in 15-30 seconds max. Let me know how it goes!
@ sounds good thanks!
@ very welcome
@@waxmanvids5015 also I have messed around with 3Ds basic ceramics after doing headlight restorations just so kinda deal the headlight and that one is super easy to work with so we’ll see how this goes!
Love Hero man! Isn’t the top 3 anymore but def my top 5. Love the scent and beautiful bronco!
what's your fave? Mine is currently really prob diy details v2... but love the Hero name and easy to teach my customers...
@ ahhh man, my all time fav is Feynlab v3 and runner up is Ethos. I’m so biased with Hero, but man, Ethos cleaning power is tremendous. DIY is great, but cleaning power is not as great as I thought it was. But it cleans wash media very well. Feynlab. Ethos. And tbh, Detail Co Nemesis is legit. Don’t try Gyeon Eco wash, very weak and leaves my sponge dirty 😭😭😭 oh and Absolute is ehhhhh. Those are the two I don’t recommend.
@ gotcha I didn't like Absolute really too much at all.
Just ordered the newest one, blue now! Great video!!
thanks!
Question? What do you do with your rinseless solution once you are finished?
Fiirst I remove and wring out wash media..then dump bucket out into front grass! ;) No harmful ingredients...
@@waxmanvids5015 If you can re-use the solution, would you? By changing to multiple to mf towels, only dipping clean towels back into solution, the solution is clean & re-use on next washing?
@ I know that technique you are talking about, but I don't prefer it myself...too many towels and added wet laundry to the bag.. especially this time of year I don't do enough vehicles to make it worth it...
During the winter and below 32 degrees, I am unable to use a hose. So I use Extra Tough Wheel & Tire Cleaner & Rinseless to flush off.
yeah, I think I'm going to make a UA-cam video on my little Worx Hydroshot power sprayer for my customers that do not have a garage water supply. They can just pull water from a 5 gallon bucket filled with warm water....
Very good demonstration and explanation of a rinseless wash! Thanks
thanks KCK!
Thank you.
great product
Nah how u get all clean to foam like tht lol 😂 plus I stop using all clean cause I find it does t clean well I switched to dark fury and there’s a night and day difference
Dark Fury does work and is very dilutable & cost less!
Great video as always ! Thanks ! 2 questions. Have a name/link for waterproof gloves ? What’s you bucket holder on wheels ? Thanks !! Owen from Atlanta
hi Owen, thank you and thank you for watching! The bucket I got from harbor freight with one of their high-quality lids. And the dolly it attaches to I think I bought at Walmart for around 15 bucks.. I will post the link below for the gloves 100% Waterproof Gloves for Men... www.amazon.com/dp/B0B73YVJ1H?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Watching this reminds me of how difficult it was to work with P&S Legend with the insane short flash time. Stout appears to be the same as it seems to flash pretty fast. Thanks for sharing your experience with it.
thanks Mike!
I haven’t used Stout but this is reminding me of the beefier Hyperclean coatings in humidity. With these types of coatings as soon as you get small beads it’s wipe time and that can be fast. I’d go half a fender or 1/3 door. Good thing is when you pull back the size, the speed helps you move around the car faster not staring at a big section waiting for the beads to form. They definitely command respect but they’re very reliable high performance coatings.
Good to know. I did find quicker wipe off worked much better. Weird how the pillars were, but maybe need to work even quicker on those. They claim "its the everything" Coating.
@ it’s almost like they’re more porous and they need a wet application and they flash quick. I had to pay special attention to some gloss black 2025 Tundra fender trim even with Hyperclean Uno, the one year which is also a sweating type coating.
Get 4 or 6ah hp battery you'll get more power
good idea!
I unfortunately had the exact same install experience you did with Stout. High spots on nearly every panel and very defined lines on panels I split in sections. I ended up repolishing the whole car afterward and using a different coating. I felt very defeated, but it’s nice to know I’m not alone in my experience.
Omgosh wow. Thank you. I think they went to aggressive of a formula on this Stout...
@ I yelled at my screen when I saw you do the entire hood haha
@@jbalinski hahahaha love it!
That was a whole lot of spraying and rubbing to remove those two sap stains. There must be better alternatives to this one.
Depending on the tree, Sap can be a real bitch to remove. That is why it's great to have a good layer of wax, sealant or Coating to keep contaminants from sticking so much too. Thanks for watching!
Great review Joel. Hopefully SBG reaches out. If you continue to use it the Autoality membership is definitely the place to get it.
thanks! Not sure if Ill keep using it. The fact that I can't apply new coating to reactivate and fix a high spot is frustrating but at least it seems like it's a very durable product..
Great video! I recently attempted to do my car. I used a heavy cutting hex pad it got rid of the dullness but still didn’t cut deep enough to get oxidation. Would you recommend for me to use the wool pad?
Try a little 2000 or 3000 grit wetsanding..than yes cut with a wool pad. On a rotary it's amazing but do only in short time intervals and don't let the paint get too hot.
Excellent point concerning the steamer. I like using a steamer on semi-dirty carpets with foam.
Could I just throw the sprayer in an alcohol soak overnight to clean it out for future uses?
you can try...they're so cheap I just order extra and pitch em. I tried spraying solvent thru one to save it and it still clogged badly. Lmk how it goes!
Great turnout. That was one funky vehicle.
mine graphene coating from diy is either fully clogged or dead after only 4 months
hmmmm In my test it is holding up very well still against Mohs Evo by Gyeon after 10 months in...Im really now sure about the DIY Coatings personally, but I do like their other products alot.
Chem-X now has a touchless active foam out, Old Glory. Do you have any plans on trying it?
prob not..but maybe in the future
Better off with towel on a car with no wax
absolutely agree
Thanks for the video! Will used the flexilla pro hose which is why the ends were different. I’m working on this mod but on the spray side end I’m going to mount a TeeJet sprayer (what you see on a Detail Keg) as I think is a better sprayer and easier to use. They sell all the tips on Amazon. The 5500-PB-X22 could be used to foam but I’m having trouble finding the green inserts to hold the foam discs in the sprayer. I have some from my detail keg I can use. Will keep you posted!
gotcha I didn't see the Pro version..but at least I think the hose might be the same and hopefully it holds up over time. Fingers crossed like it alot so far.
It’s the same hose the pro version just had the fittings you can replace easily if the hose tears in the field. Considered field serviceable!
@robpeluso2852 gotcha!
I heard P & S was bought out by the same company that bought out 3D One? Have you heard that?
I haven't heard that myself...
I got a bottle in the Car Supplies Warehouse mystery box. That is great to hear. The removal is nice. Nasiol Clear Rub polishes are the same way. So easy to remove.
yep used it again it wipes off incredibly well with rinseless wash too!
@waxmanvids5015 I'll definitely be trying it when it warms up. Other than GSP. Have any other favorites? I also like Phoenix EOD polishes.
Love it! Smells decent compared to what I am used to and is slightly aggressive at times, but not always. I’ve noticed that when starting with a Buff and Shine yellow pad, I still need to finish with a finishing pad and polish, especially on black surfaces, to remove ultra-light “tick marks” or haze. All in all it replaced my Menzerna 2400/2500 due to better wipe offs and better smells!
I agree I did a piano black pillar with a 50-50 euro fiber pad and had to follow with a foam yellow rupes..
Did you put the coating on the black trim? I put it on the trim and wiped it off and leveled like regular and about 2 weeks later it turned my clients trim white
yes ..never heard from customer of any issue after. You used Pro Quartz from ADS?
Can I do the same on my IK Foam 9 ?
i'm not sure if the connection looks the same I would imagine so I'm not familiar with that unit
Great video! What kind of gloves are you using? Thanks
100% Waterproof Gloves for Men... www.amazon.com/dp/B0B73YVJ1H?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Thank you!!!
Nice mod and video!
Thats a nice improvement. Thanks for sharing.
You bet
I have the Commander model and just love it. In years past it was a multi-day ordeal in the fall getting all the leaves picked up. With the Cyclone Rake it's an easy afternoon job that I can do by myself. I've had mine over a decade and other than standard maintenance for the engine it's required nothing. It's the best leaf vac system in the industry! I just ordered a set of the dual pro wheels not that I really need them, but more to support this great company. If you're tired of the back-breaking leaf and yard cleanup chore - get the Cyclone Rake! It's worth far more than you pay for it.
I did this too game changer
Wow that was fast. Great tutorial. I'm glad you kept it basically the same length. I've debated how long to make it.
yeah, the one that I sprayed in the demo is my wheel/tire specific unit and I have that hose probably about a foot shorter than the stock one… But my second one for the vehicle body is normal length.
Cutting the ends off first was my first thought then you did it 😅
Nice! I keep forgetting that i have to do this to mine, too. I've had the hose lying around for a month. 😂
Nice Mod! Did this as well after watching "Wills" video. 🔥👌🏽
I believe you have too much time on your side?
yep definitely extra time to "play in the garage" this time of year...detailing requests have slowed down dramatically. Plus I still like to tinker with ideas outside of my full time job in the evenings after work...
Great mod! I'm also going to do the Flexzilla hose mod soon too.
oo nice lmk how it goes. I was able to shorten this hose but wasnt easy..
I just ordered the Flexzilla hose that looks like it's going to be so much better!!!
@waxmanvids5015 Heck yeah. I'd love to see your video on that too.
Great organization. The “Ferret” brush is meant to soak in a bucket. Once soaked you will find it to be safer that the nylon brushes.
gotcha I would definitely use it if I had a wash bucket for the wheels and tires but I think I will just rinse them off after each use between wheels with the pressure washer ...thank you for watching!
