Thanks for the review Dmitry! Pure EVO isn't designed to be the most slick coating. The aim was to provide candy like gloss and solid chemical resistance. Then if people want slickness, they can use a maintenance product for that. If you want a slick coating then try Mohs EVO next!
Honestly i have to say this was one of the best real world tests about Gyeon pure EVO coating. I have been using this product in our 3 cars (2x BMW, 1x Renault Clio) some years now. In my experience, the only way you kill Pure Evo fast is bug removers over 13 PH level. Unfortunately i had to use strong cleaning products, because where our cars were parked (trees, aphid fallout.. you know). Pure Evo is doing just fine in the Finnish winter, we have difficult winters, lots of salt and tar contamination. Most of us are using snow foam+engine degreaser package for the prewash phase. This coating is just doing okay in the winter season, zero problems. Thanks for the great review and I suggest you try mohs EVO, if you like slickness.

Dmitry always showing facts ! Have you considered testing the new meguiars m888? Few people who applied and tested it seems like its a high solid reliable coating
Great test as always! I really like how you test these coatings in a more scientific process that will give an idea of the durability that these coatings will have. I appreciate all the time and work you put into these! Do you have an order on which coatings you're going to be testing coming up that you can share? I'd really like to see C6 Hydro Lite, ADS Pro Quartz, DIY Detail 8 year, DIY Detail 8+3 year stack and CCI Advance. I know that seeing you test all of those coatings is a long shot. 😂 So don't feel pressured to test them just for my sake.
Thanks for the kind words :). I do have an excel sheet where I track highly requested items as well as those that are new and interesting. The C6 product is already in my hands and is coming very soon =).
I put a blob of Pure on a metal lid awhile back and didn't wipe it off. 2 weeks later the spot had cured clear all the way through. I put a blob of CP SiC next to it without wiping and it dried milky white after full cure. I was kind of surprised. I'd like to try Ethos Pro Graphene on my truck or maybe the Ethos Max or McKee's Max.
Would it be possible for you to do a static electricity test?. Comparing how negatively or positively charged dust particles are attracted to a panel or not.
Hi. Thank you for these great videos! Did you consumer vs professional grade ceramic coatings? They claim to be thicker, long-lasting. It woudl be really interesting to check the numbers.
2 coats of Pure doing well after a year. The sheer angle when blow drying did not impress me. Made silver metallic pop surprisingly. Thinking about replacing it with a Pro coating.
Pure Evo is a one layer coating, putting a second coat of pure Evo will not improve. It will break of the first layer and the coating will not perform as it used to
@@Defiansy Was just an experiment. I did a single layer on 1 side and 2 layers on the other. 2 layers looks a little better to my eye but both have similar hydrophobics. It's holding up very well after a year.
Great video Dmitry! Pure is way too grabby of a coating after it has cured. It’s more grabby than CanCoat. I would only recommend it if it is topped with something that is slick. Would be a great combo so someone who wants a coating but also loves applying a maintenance ceramic sealant with every wash. But on its own it’s awful to the touch.
Grabby coatings tend to have better hydrophobic behavior / sheet faster, although this is not a hard and fast rule. I don't care if the coating is grabby because any number of detail sprays can give you temporary slickness.
@@chrisbradley3224exactly, that’s basically what I said. Any spray sealant or detail will help the coating feel better to the touch. But delivering a coating car to a customer and having them touch the paint with the back of their hand, it feels almost exactly like raw paint because it’s grabby so it doesn’t give the customer that “wow the paint feels amazing and slick” satisfaction.
Yea I definitely agree. It's a good option for those already in the Gyeon ecosystem especially. The only caveat is that whatever you spray on top is going to have those properties, it's hard to have the benefit of both at once for parameters like slickness and hydrophobicity. Though durability clearly does stack to some extent.
@@DmitrysGarage I find that the PDMS or whatever these sprays typically use for the slickness actually slightly affects the repellency of the coating, but at least it's short-lived.
@@DmitrysGarage I am curious of your thoughts if you compare Pure to Mohs evo. I have a black Mercedes from 2005 and thought about Mohs Evo but a detailer suggested to take Pure in stead, because of more shiny result. What do you think?

Отличный тест. Слышал много мнений, что Pure больше других набирает водный камень. Даже Qure не спасает. Было бы здорово в тестах керамик смотреть на образование водного камня
The same with gyeon q2 mohs evo with 2 layers, and why not a place with gyeon q2 syncro evo please. The softness is something else while being more resistant! Even if mohs evo can work very well in 1 coat, it is better with 2. & carpro dquartz go 😊
