I made this today and after reading all the comments: Toast the Quinoa for a few minutes. If you rinse the Quinoa, use less than a cup of water. If not, the mixture will be runny. I made mine thin and crispy so cooked for about 20 minutes each side. Ate it with hummus and garlic cheese. Delicious!
OMG! Just made it. I couldn’t resist for too long but it’s so darn delicious 🤤. After trying a few gluten-free vegan bread recipes from UA-cam I almost gave up but this one ☝🏼I’m going to stick with. Perfect for my taste buds and there is plenty of options to be creative with. Thank you so much. 🙏🏼
Made this today Connie and sprinkled parsley, rosemary, chia seeds, hemp seeds and sesame seeds on top. I made some spicy barbecue hummus and ate it on top of the bread. Lol it is all gone! Loved it.
I'm definitely making this lovely bread,i can almost taste the rosemary and garlic , it looks so yummy !!!!! I also be sharing this with my daughter .thank you Connie
I made this today with 1 cup quinoa and 1 cup water but it was watery so I added more quinoa. It was still a bit watery but it baked good and taste great. I did rinse quinoa first which was probably why it was watery. Next time doing it again with no rinse and going to start with half cup water and add the rest gradually. But I'm so thankful for recipes like this! I am fruit based but I do like some cooked food too. Just got to keep it clean gluten free. God bless! I subscribed :)
Connie , thanks🙏I just made a version of this recipe. It is baking in the oven right now . I am out of quinoa , so I just used organic brown rice and GF oatmeal. Sprinkled with everything bagel spice mixture 👌I couldn’t resist and already tried a pice when turning . I am eating most of the time raw but craving bread and pasta . That is why it is fantastic that you posted this !!!💟☮️
I bet this would be great with hummus and salsa. Both hummus and salsa really are a fusion match, and this flat bread would unite them well. I would add some possible pesto, some nice salad greens and maybe some goat cheese. Yummo!
So I thank you for this great recipe, I've already made it multiple times. Even better I had some quinoa flakes so now use them, even easier, no blender needed, just a spoon and bowl. I also added Trader Joe's Everything Bagel Seasoning, yum. I also like it thin and crispy so I spread it as thin as possible and cook it a little less time.
I know right it's the best!!! :D and so light when u eat it :D have u tried the chickpea recipe I have called cecina here;s the link if u want to give it a go
:D I don't waste hehehehe I can drive my family crazy of that lol always running after them telling them don't throw that away hahahaha :D Connie's make great moms hehehe
Connie's RAWsome kitchen hahaha yes my mom is the same way but we understand there is a good teaching in that behavior. More people need to be like you! 😊
I would play it by eye...add some flour and then water a little at a time till you get that same pasty mixture. I would think 1/2 the amount since its a flour and maybe more water....But like I said water always a little at a time till you get the mixture how you like it
I’ve just read somewhere else on another UA-cam vid that it’s best to soak the quinoa overnight to help digestion . Apparently the Phytons stop you from absorbing nutrients if you don’t soak . Thanks for the great recipe though 👍 Maybe poppy seeds on top ? I don’t know what those other ones were. Going to try to find mushroom powder as well Ps in metric countries like mine ( Australia) it’s around 225 deg Celsius
I was really looking forward to this... unfortunately the first side stuck to the parchment paper. I could not get it off, so decided to turn it over & bake the other side & see if the paper would then peel off easier...to NO avail. I don't know what I could have done differently. any thoughts? anyone?
Nice recipe easy to do and i would definetely eat this avocado "toast" you were showing in the final presentation wich are always beautiful by the way you plate and present food in a gorgeous way
Thank you for this Connie. I’m not gluten intolerant but I do find eating a lot of bread can make me feel bloated (so maybe I am slightly 🤔). This is definitely something I will be trying! 😊🙏
Funny you say that... today believe it or not we are all gluten intolerant. We eat it because we love the taste of what we eat. But our bodies react better on whole foods. Wheat is not what it used to be it has changed structure leaving it hard on our bodies. If you try eating ancient grains you will see you will react differently....easier to digest. The problem is that they are also getting cross contaminated and soon those will not be as good as they were.
I really appreciate seeing the way you make your gluten-free bread. I’m definitely going to try some more vegan recipes like this. Gluten-free assume so many people and you provided a nice recipe. One suggestion though, you might consider editing your videos a little bit more so that there’s not so much dead space And the video moves along a little faster. I fast forwarded to at least 50% of your video. It was a little tedious to watch the information is great. I always admire the people who share their passions on UA-cam because I know the technical side of it must be so difficult.
I wanted to give you and other people an FYI; I have a Nutribullet and have discovered through testing that I don't have to tighten the cup as much as you did. I tightened it just till I could feel the grip of the plastic seal. With the Ninja I had to really tighten the cup and it was hard to un-tighten, but not with the 'Bullet'! I hope this helps someone! And Miss Connie, I like your videos. Thank you
it's my pleasure and thank you!!! if you like this recipe, u have to try my cecina recipe :D made with chickpeas :D ua-cam.com/video/1pgmZe-KHZ8/v-deo.html

What can you substitute for mushroom powder? I have not seen that ingredient in my area which is outside of the USA
just leave it out. but you can make your own powder very easy.
Looking forward to trying this 🎊 thanks for the recipe:)

If I want to use Quinoa flour, instead of whole Quinoa, how much would be equivalent to the whole Quinoa?
I would play it by eye...add some flour and then water a little at a time till you get that same pasty mixture. I would think 1/2 the amount since its a flour and maybe more water....But like I said water always a little at a time till you get the mixture how you like it

Thanks for this récipe, i have a question do i have to wash the quinoa before?
Bara Kuroi : yes
It says on the package if you need to rinse. The kind I buy says to rinse.
I thought this was going to be a raw bread . I’m going to try this in my dehydrator seeing I’m 100% raw. Thank you 🙌🌱💚
Hope you like it!

bleder must be strong. use less liquids next time

Please always wash/rinse the quinoa before putting everything in the blender. It must be washed well!
Good Idea! LOL I didn't do that either and I should know better.

Where to get powdered mushrooms?
u can buy online or just make yourself by drying up some mushrooms
Is the mushroom powder mandatory in this recipe?
no it's added because I love the flavor it gives but no u don't have to
This really is as good as all comments say. Delicious even just on its own

I think it depends on what you are putting in & how runny it is. You do not want liquids getting into the inner workings of your machine.
This is one recipe I have to try. Sounds delicious and so easy.
it is :D you will love it :D easy enough to make fresh everyday
Will it turn out this good if using a dehydrator or air fryer?

leave it out

that is very odd. yes for sure if that is the case. but it should not have stuck with parchment. Wax yes but not parchment
You should buy non bleached parchment paperat whole foods. I use it al the time with a tiny bit of olive oil and nothing sticks. All the best!
Paperat is meant to be paper at ... typing fast
Mine got stuck too, I made 3 different batches and it must have been the paper every time.
