God I love Dean DeLeo - THIS is the guy that so many guitar players should aspire to be if they want to make great music and not be lazy about their chord choices. The guy never takes the easy way out with basic major or minor chords when there's something way more interesting to play.
Word. I think he is one of the most underrated rock guitar players ever. Love him too!
So truth
@@ms6465 agree
Well said
There's a few major and minor chords sprinkled in here...but lots of finger twisty jazz chords. I'm learning it now and my fingers are in knots on a few of these transitions. He's always been in my top 5 influences
Tiny Music has always been my favorite album of theirs
It is their best.
@@DemonSlide No.4 also. Very underrated album.
@@RyanAnthonyDigitalMedia Oh man. My favorite on that one is "Atlanta".
Great music.
Songs From the Vatican Gift Shop. Love it.
Yup... one of the most under rated rock albums of all time.
Tiny Music is such a masterpiece of an album from start to finish.
One of Scott’s best vocal preformances. Everyone does an amazing job, STP is something else.
Underrated masterpiece
One of the best bands from the 90s. Way ahead of time and most underrated too. They had a sophistication that was lost in the ‘grunge’ scene I suppose. Dean De Leo is a giant of a guitar player.
Take me back to this beautiful year please.
I agree I was piss poor but didn’t have a care in the world.
This is by far, the best version of this song
i miss these type of songs
Cool. Can't believe I'm just now seeing this performance.
History being made in front of your eyes: "Whoa, nice"
Howard has had such amazing performers on his show.
This song should have gotten a lot more airplay, period!
Yes Dean's chords are beautiful here but I got chills on Scott's vocal performance. Every note was perfect and wading into falsetto seamlessly... chills..
One of my favorite STP songs that rarely gets much recognition. This recording is a bit rough but still cool to hear live in acoustic.
Scott’s soft and sweet vocals were so good early on.
Such a great singer and soft soul he just didn't know it....
he knew it, you don't get that far in that business w/ no self-assurance
One of their best songs
If not THE best
as a huge stp fan this made me "yayyyy" out loud
The sheer cajoñes to hit those octaves transcends a generation. Cheers Mate RIP 🤟🏼🤘🏼♾
Flawless vocals
Been waiting for this performance to be released for so long!!
Great song very underrated and forgotten
One of the best songs on that album.
Amazing. What a poet. What a band
Dude I’ve been waiting on this forever
What a tune
Absolutely nuts, been listening to this recording for years. To actually watch them play it is amazing.
This is just beautiful.
I love this song ❤
What a great melody! 90s forever!
-I hear some early 1970's soft-rock in this song
his voice , the music and even his vocal warmups ❤
Love how their best performances are on this show
Thank You Howard!! Please give us more this kind of footage from the cuts..The people have spoke..!
Song Sounds awesome with an acoustic guitar!
My favorite STP song.
One of my favorites by them
Masterpiece
This is my fav STP song, such realtalk
Absolutely my favorite track by STP. Weiland started developing and finding his voice on Purple and perfected it on Tiny Music.
I was so happy they did this song. It is my favorite on the Album besides Big Bang Baby. The guitar rocks here and specially on the album!!!
What a great performance that was captured and mixed so well!
Love this song man
Thanks for uploading! Such a wonderful performance. Scott’s voice is just beautiful here.
This acoustic version is better than the original
agree
I agree
Agreed. Should have put this on Tiny Music.
I miss him so much😭
There’s a recording of their concert in Philly that night here on UA-cam. They played this song later that night and killed it!
Outstanding!
Just beautiful, hard not to shed a tear.
Cool never herd this one before ✌🏻
THE BEST SONG STP
Up untill this period I actually followed STP, shocking to see it hails from already 25 years ago....
That’s a really good song…
Angelic voice.
Finally! 👍🏼 Thank You. I‘ve been waiting for this performance since you uploaded Danzing Days 2 years ago.
I'm waiting for Scott's killing me sweetly performance to be uploaded
Wonderful❤
Thank you for this performance video, I love this era of Stp
It’s crazy how different he looks here compared to March 1996
GOAT.
Please release all stp videos that you have ım begging you Mr Stern 🙏🙏
not once a year..
he’s released almost all of the performances over the last two years. I don’t think theres much left.
This is dope AF. Want the Ski beanie ... Talk to me..
10/10, p e r f e c t
Amazing!!!
Such a tough note
Wow this was half a lifetime ago.
About time Howard
Great song all around
'96... back when we all looked better...and there seemed to be more talent in music
Damn! 🔥
Wow!!!!!!
Love stp
1:43 what chord is that?
Bmadd2. It's the magic chord of this masterpiece.
❤Don’t mess with a needle 💉 and a spoon 🥄 and a trip to the moon 🌚 RIP Scotty
"WOAH, nice!"
Absolute fuckin godhead!
Por fin, lo esoeraba tanto que estoy llorando
Musica de verdade
Weird. Ive seen STP three times and I don't remember this song. Perty familiar with their catalog with Scott...i thought. Thanks for sharing this
I look at the culture we had 30 years ago and I look at it today..... If I wasn't a Christian I would be looking for a time machine.... I miss these times and I miss my elders that have gone on... I miss those generations that we so desperately need but unfortunately do not have anymore....
❤
🖤
🤘
All of them from start to finish are 🤌 If I had to pick two it would be Tiny Music and their self titled 2010 album. I think it's also underrated
Dean is such an awesome underrated guitar player and what's fucked up is I remember an interview on some magazine in the 90s where dean sez Robert is actually the better guitar player! Trolling? Maybe.
Robert can play guitar really well he wrote a lot of their songs on guitar even though he's primarily known as a bass player.
Someone can explain for me what this song is about pls
7 20 milligram ocs...yup
