There are certain singers throughout music history that simply cannot be replaced and Scott was one of those.
Here's my list. I agree with Scott here's some others Chester Bennington, Chris Cornel, Ronnie James Dio. Not an exhaustive list, just some off the top of my head.
One of the best and one of the most underrated of all time.
One of kind..never be another Scott..RIP
Scott, Layne, Kurt... So many
Truth!
“Alright let’s try this” *proceeds to play it perfectly*
This is what a real rock star looks and sounds like kids. RIP to all the 90’s legends
the kids just are not having any experiences to create music like this... everyone is just plugged in.
Scott can't be replaced and he hasn't in my book
“Can you give me more reverb on this microphone plrrzzz.”
Scotty’s voice will alwaaaaaays be an echo of nostalgia for me (and Gen X).
Weiland was always silky smooth
I´ll never get tired of this cover. Scott´s voice is such a miracle of life, i can feel it on my body. Miss him so much.
What a voice! Such texture, rich tone, always on key, and air control. One of their best performances, I remember this getting a lot of airplay.
_Scott Weiland_ ...
_You will always be remembered_
MIZORAM - Mafaka Hnamte damn straight
... as a junkie.
MIZORAM - Mafaka Hnamte as a drugged out loser
MIZORAM - Mafaka Hnamte ...yeah. God rest his soul. Truly sad, but well...he tried and he can only answer to his self. And the Creator, the Father. Peace n Happy, good weekend and a blessed Easter Sunday to Those who CELEBRATE...of all Faiths. Rightfully and Peacefully with fam n friends neighbors. Do unto others or at the least, try your best. And yes, TRUMP 2020. Danielle in PhillyPA. Whats up, K. Get Better.🕊
YES!
That voice back in the day... gets me every time.
BTW, all these Howard Stern live sessions really highlight the truly talented bands - to this day.
Scott's vocals sound tremendous here......
Scott Welland was one of the best rock singers I ever heard, RIP gone but never forgotten 😢🎸😍🤘🤘🤘
Love that dudes voice. Takes you away to another place.
A BETTER place.
Yeah because he was on another planet to take you to a planet in the first place :-p
Siempre pense lo mismo,te alucina su musica, como si fuera transdimensional
c mcg I turned gay for 5 mins lmao.
Scott was truly gifted
The real mastery is the rhythm section of the DeLeo brothers, they have remarkable chemistry
Stone temple pilots was Howard's best guest on the Howard Stern show
Scott has a iconic voice, one you will never forget . So many iconic voices from the 90s I’ll cherish forever
90s were the best style decade IMHO.
They just don’t make rock stars like they use to.
RIP ROCK!
the chats - smoko
Juan Pomares rock will rise from the grave when the time is right
Check out Rival Sons
Greta Van Fleet are a great band if you don't think so check out some of their live stuff where they're not opening for someone. They really know the shit they can jam and go through stuff on the fly. They are so much like Zepplin and I think that's a good thing with most of today's shitty music they're a real Rock Band and have the chops to prove it. I was a doubter at first til I seen them just jam just free
@@S71800130 Dave Grohl keeps it going.
Of all the 90's Bands, these guys were the Real Rock Stars...RIP Weiland
Awww, Scott. RIP man. Howard you sounded great on that intro.
The evolution of his voice is interesting. Started out deep and soulful then got higher with age and drug use. Then at the end of his life it was very thin. He was one of the best rock voices ever
His voice didnt change. He changed it. No one honestly knows what his true voice is. He was a chameleon. I know it wasn't the deep one however. He wss clearly making it deeper for that sound
What an instrument, his voice is.
Always loved their take on this. So many people try too hard to be Zeppelin when covering or doing a tribute. They took this song in a different, more psychedelic direction and it works perfectly. Also really respect Eric for sticking to the bongos for this tune
RIP Scott you were one of a kind, STP were my Led Zeppelin to my teenage years
i cant stop playing this... the DeLeo brothers have an addicting groove.. and then Scott's voice... holy shit
dean deleo rocks that whistle artefact hahaha
Hell yea on the last minute slide!
STP did a GREAT JOB with a GREAT SONG. Respect.
Scott was so good. Damn
What a voice...
Howard Stern always brings out the best in everyone!
Just beautiful
This sounds amazing. Really good quality they nailed this perfect
I think they actually did it better.
These guys kick ass. RIP Scott
What a fucking gem... I didn't even know this existed
i had a dream last night i was sitting with dean in a bar and talking about nothing... he has been my inspiration to learn guitar since i saw him play live a year ago.. damn i miss that show
To any engineers out there... the saturation in those vocals sound amazing!
Wow this is really the best version of the song IMO. His vocals just blow it out of the water.
"Put your finger in there and play" - that whistle slide thing worked out pretty good actually.
Man that’s chilling
An incredible version of the Led Zeppelin classic. Scott is sorely missed.
Can you believe that we lost that voice?
I agree that he had no longer this voice when he died, but it doesn't matter.
I remember hearing it live on the air and it blowing my mind how good Scott sounded.. Such a bummer that he’s gone..
Scott could sing EVERYTHING. God bless his soul.
Wow... I came across this cover by accident and it has blown my mind. Scott Weiland takes this rendition to another level - so haunting and beautiful. I could listen to this every day. His talent will be missed so so much. What a voice - pure talent and effortless. RIP Scott.
Agree, oh.. and I’m also a “Ron A” lol!
I was and still obsessed with this beautiful video ua-cam.com/video/Ki9WtdZPsRY/v-deo.html
They guy who uploaded its the one that filmed it.
Wow! They were good! R.I.P., Scott Weiland. You were were one of a kind.
i know he sounds great
Howard never hide his appreciation for the band, and if they ever got into the rock and roll hall of fame, i wish Mr.Stern would induct them.
The chord progression sounds a little dark...that’s why I love it.
Rip Scott. Such a versatile vocalist very underated
One of the most underrated bands of all time
Goddamn. Doesn’t really get any better. RIP Scott
Best musical performance ever on the stern show
Scott was such a unique artist that brought the music industry some of the best memories of his life ....love this cover..
WOW this is an almost perfect cover! A completely different, laid back slant - changes the vibe & sounds GREAT...
So glad I got to see these guys live. One of the tightest and most professional shows I’ve ever seen
The best version!
Best version of the song.
Snoop loves stp and the Howard Stern show!
Robert and Dean are so badass together! Going to start playing more music.with my brother. Organic connectivity
Saw them in '96 in their prime. What a beast of a concert! RIP Scott.
Damn we lived through some great music in the 90's. This music was surely taken for granted because I sure do miss the hell out of it because music like this and bands like this will never be back again..
One of my all time favorite covers!🤘🏻
My sister wore those white sunglasses
Saw Scott with the Wildabouts a couple months before his passing and he was still amazing . Got to see STP 3 times and it was always great . One of my favorites for sure
Same! Saw em in Austin right before their guitarist died. Then Scott died. It was a shitshow honestly, but I'll always love Scott. Happy to have caught stp live a few times in my life! One of my very favorites.
Won't even give the new "Stp" a chance...
I miss these guys. What a voice!!!
When I saw the title I was hoping to god it was a Led Zeppelin cover by STP. I was right. Hell yes.
RIP Scott, thank you for this brother!
They really did this song justice. It sounds fantastic
Scott Weiland was and is a LEGEND! That voice is one in a billion...LEGENDS never die. ❤️🤘🏻❤️
R.i.p. Scott! You were an amazing singer and entertainer. You will be missed!
Wow that guy plays the bass with his thumb. So cool lol.
This is so good!! Scott will always live through his amazing music. RIP.
I was expecting to dislike this but they completely nailed it.
Goddamn Scott sounds amazing. They all do.
The Howard Stern show epitomizes Rock and Roll
REST IN PEACE SCOTT WEILAND. THE KING.
They did a stellar job on this cover I can tell ya that much.
Awesome. Everytime I listen to this I am reminded the genius we lost so early.
Damn he looked good here.”
Perfect band, perfect singer. Dean and Robert are so locked in on the guitar and bass respectively, Eric Kretz is about as solid of a drummer you'll ever find, and Scott was the perfect voice for the music they created.
Classic 💜i miss his voice ....
Fuck yeah they could, Howard! So glad I got the chance to see them live, for it surely was an experience!! RIP Scott, what a voice you had and it was amazing live!
Its crazy how this cover is better than the original song and no distortion, like fuck they were good man
Mr. Weiland was a very talented chap.
The best of times
Man what a Legend he made a great rock star rip Scott......
scotts voice gets into your soul its so surreal in a way miss him :(
Met Scott in Atlanta in late 93 or early 94, he was in town laying down tracks for the "Purple" album. I saw him several times while he was there in a bar that I worked at... he was a super nice guy, very humble I really enjoyed my little talks with him... has been and will be sorely missed. Made a hell of an addition to the band in Rock and Roll Heaven...
Wow great story... I sadly didn't get to see them here in England... They only did one small tour of towns and cities in 93... They did get to come Liverpool then but I missed it Other than that it was usually London... Top band la 👌
STP....can’t be beat. 🤘🏼 forever
What a combination of people. Brilliant band ❤
What a amazing singer!!! Miss you Scott! The real face of STP
So sick -
Beautiful, rest easy Scott
Scott has an important place on the stage of best and greatest singers of Rock beside R. Plant, I Guilan, Chester B, Chris Cornell,, he will always be remembered like that. RIP...wish you were here still...😶
I just love this fucker more sometimes. Scott....what a talent. Props to all but,...
Never seen the video before. Thanks a lot Howard!
Rest in Peace Scottie...
Scott makes this look and sound effortless! (Actually, the whole band does.)
STP was special!
