@@TheGeekyNerd I'll add that mine runs 100% on full auto using an H1 buffer. I tried an H2 buffer, but was getting an occasional short stroke. With the H1 buffer, it tosses the spent cases just a few feet away in to a nice small area.

After several thousand rounds the cam pin wears the pathway in the upper receiver. I highly recommend the POF roller cam, I don’t get why sig didn’t do that.
Works perfect with the can and the gas setting adjustments are a dream. On thing pointed out to me by another viewer was to replace the cam pin with a roller cam pin cause it starts to gouge the internal of the upper.

@@TheGeekyNerd yeah the 7.5 PDW version of the gun seems like a gimmick to me. But the 10.5 cqb is a fantastic setup the short stroke piston system lends itself to the short barrel platforms very well. The only complaint I have about it, is that as mine sits with a with red dot, magnifier, back up irons, weapon light, law folding adapter, sba4 brace and a loaded magazine it’s damn near a 12lb gun.

Hey great video! What type of buffer would you recommend for the Sig 516 an H buffer or an h2 buffer? I snagged a 14.5 on gun broker for a great deal couldn't pass it up!
Hey Man, personally the absolute best pairing I found for this is a Geissele Super 42 with H2 buffer. This is especially true if using a suppressor and the adjustable gas system as it cuts down the twang spring noise and reduces bolt bounce. Also with an H2 it is what the U.S. Army uses with their 14.5 inch and good enough for them is good enough for me lol.
I put my 14.5" Sig516 upper on my M16A2 lower which is setup in carbine configuration. I started with an H2 buffer, but got a few short strokes when shooting full power 5.56x45 M193. I changed to an H1 buffer and it runs like a champ in semi and full. Spent cases go in to a nice small pile about five feet away.
I have one of these and after about 1000 rounds through it, some brass shavings have been collecting after each shooting in the bolt area. And it is impossible to get the shavings out because they even get into the small area where the bolt sits. Any idea why? I replaced the extractor and still same thing. The shavings are tiny brass shavings. I put 500 steel wolf rounds through it and when I put brass back in, the brass shavings came again. I have about 2500 rounds through it now and the brass is getting worse. I clean it as much as I can but can't get all the shavings and I'm worried too many shavings will collect and bolt wont go.
Per what I know you cannot since the pistol assembly is made for it. You can chop it down though, but i've heard that it messes with the gas regulation settings.
