    This particular rifle was designed by 2 engineers from Hk (who designed the 416) their intention was to make a better rifle that had way more milspec parts could be replaced WAY easier and cheaper. (Hk 416 has basically ALL proprietary parts) they exceeded all expectations!

    I've had most of the piston uppers and I wanted to be impressed by them.Two Adams Arms 16in,14.5 mid lnth,1 Lwrc,Sig 12.5,ect.They all functioned fine with the exception of the AA 14.5,It would only function with Federal 855.I also have DI guns 2 Colt m4a1socoms 1 Geissele urg-i clone complete on a Colt marked m4 lower,a Colt a2 carbine and a mk18.The DI's had smoother recoil were more accurate,lighter,less moving parts and had no proprietary parts.With that being said I kept my DI rifles and sold the piston rifles.Piston guns aren't junk and the bcg stays cooler and cleaner but the rail the barrel and any accessories up front are going to get dirty too.Opinions are like ssholes every body has one,put that weapon together and get to the range and enjoy it.

But the 10.5 cqb is a fantastic setup the short stroke piston system lends itself to the short barrel platforms very well. The only complaint I have about it, is that as mine sits with a with red dot, magnifier, back up irons, weapon light, law folding adapter, sba4 brace and a loaded magazine it’s damn near a 12lb gun.

    • @TheGeekyNerd
      @TheGeekyNerd  4 роки тому +2

      Hey Man, personally the absolute best pairing I found for this is a Geissele Super 42 with H2 buffer. This is especially true if using a suppressor and the adjustable gas system as it cuts down the twang spring noise and reduces bolt bounce. Also with an H2 it is what the U.S. Army uses with their 14.5 inch and good enough for them is good enough for me lol.

I changed to an H1 buffer and it runs like a champ in semi and full. Spent cases go in to a nice small pile about five feet away.

  • @MrEsdumby

    I have one of these and after about 1000 rounds through it, some brass shavings have been collecting after each shooting in the bolt area. And it is impossible to get the shavings out because they even get into the small area where the bolt sits. Any idea why? I replaced the extractor and still same thing. The shavings are tiny brass shavings. I put 500 steel wolf rounds through it and when I put brass back in, the brass shavings came again. I have about 2500 rounds through it now and the brass is getting worse. I clean it as much as I can but can't get all the shavings and I'm worried too many shavings will collect and bolt wont go.
