Home to Lord and Lady Edward Manners Haddon Hall has been described as the most complete house of its period and is said to be one of the most important historic Houses in England.
Set in a stunning location within the Derbyshire Peak District over looking the River Wye.
The gardens at Hadden are very romantic with an Elizabethan Walled Garden and stunning views down to the river wye and across the beautiful hills of the Peak District.
The House is part of Historic Houses and so members can visit free of charge.
With many events throughout the year the hall is a wonderful place to spend the day.
Haddon Hall has been used as a filming location for many TV and films including Jayne Eyre, Pride & Prejudice , The other Boleyn Girl and The Princess Bride

Hi Dave and Dawn this Medieval house is stunning so much history, moth balled?? Wow that’s interesting and Tudor style added for good measure it’s beautiful! Loved hearing about Dorothy’s storey! The family left here for Belvoir Castle so I guess we can understand why as Belvoir is another stunning home with another wonderful garden, how to choose between to such places not a problem we have l😊 . Hey Dave & Dawn. Now that is a country pad. Love the dining hall. And the carvings are beautiful. 900 years of tales to tell. The ceiling is amazing too. I love the way they built them. I can imagine kids running up and down the long gallery. You looked very regal walking down it Dawn. 👸🏼 I am way to going for Jethro tull. 🤷🏻♂️. From the outside it is as impressive as the inside. Guys this is a fabulous Medieval house and its interesting that its said to be one of the most important in England. Loved the table in the banqueting hall and the state bedroom with the snooker/ pool table 😃 The windows are lovely and its great that there are original features still there in the kitchens . The gardens were beautiful too with all of the lovely views. Lovely explained tour as always with lots of info ~ Anna ❤
