I deeply love and appreciate historic homes being restored and saved, I am doing one myself even though it's just our village's oldest farm, but I just can not see it derrelect. What an enormous labor of love and to keep it up there after, never mind just the electric bill. Beautiful job guys.
We bought a cottage, not loved for many years and my husband convinced me we are the ones to bring it back to life. Well done to these guys for making this a grand home again.
I remember being amazed at photos of Strawberry Hill in my Art History text in college. I'm so pleased to see this long abandoned home coming back to life. Peter and Keith have done a wonderful job restoring and maintaining the 'state rooms' in period style, while their private rooms reflect their own lifestyle. I love the idea of 'junk shop finds' next to fine art; I've done something of the sort as well. It does my heart good to learn that they have purchased the Walpole family portraits, library, and furniture, keeping these important historic collections in their original place, rather than auctioned off and scattered to the four winds. These tours are wonderful.
This is simply a magnificent manor! I can’t believe what you have done to bring it back to life. It looks like your family has been there for 300 yrs. My heart is pounding! I love all the family portraits put in one room together! So special! I love the symmetry, something very comforting about balance, soothing. Stunned at all the beauty and amazing design skills and talent . Impeccable taste . One of my family’s ancestral homes in Ireland is now a refugee reception centre. My family sold it to an order of nuns in the 1920s before leaving Ireland for Africa. My twin brother now lives nearby and he took me there and we were allowed to see some of the reception rooms. Our family portraits from the early 1700s onwards covered the walls. It felt weirdly fitting.
This has to be the most stunning and thoughtful restoration I have ever seen. The maintenance and upkeep monetarily must be ….well….challenging….. but they are so energized with it all that it does not seem to be a burden to them in the least. Wonderful! ✨👏✨👏✨👏✨👏✨👏✨👏✨👏
The fireplaces and the glazed wool wallpaper are astounding. What a gift these gentlemen have for using fabrics and textures and the way that it plays with the light. It's rich and beautiful.

I love people who restores old homes back to their original state. This house is a piece of art. You gentlemen did a phenomenal job making it beautiful again.
Why were the brief glimpses of some of the few nude pictures and drawings blurred? There was a time - quite recently, actually - when civilised people laughed and scoffed at prudes and puritans who couldn't cope with an image of the naked body. To think that we have returned to the shame and censorship of a hundred years ago is an affront to anyone who cares about art - and I'm sure is especially grievous to the exceptionally creative custodians of this beautiful house.

Beautiful house, certainly my dream. Great surroundings and superb taste. Full of admiration for changing this house into an art. It is trully beautiful.
Thank you for saving the old manor. I think the deep set windows and the beautiful woodwork and molding of the windows very much adds to the elegance. So much better than modern windows that are almost flush with the wall.
My favorite room hands down is that gorgeous kitchen. Wow! The natural light is so perfect in that room, and that pale bluish gray color on the walls is delightful. Truly, everything about that room is pure perfection: elegant, subtle, minimalist, inviting, and ever so comforting and relaxing. I don't think I have ever seen an interior decor so perfectly realized to suit a room's intended purpose.
