Hello there, nice review thanks for that. Would you know the difference with the 9816P and between both which one you would recommend ? (I am quite interested as well by the 9851P which is not motorized. except that seems quite similar. Which one would have you preference on the 3 ?

Ive had mine over a year and its been outside hanging at my shop, its not made for outside which it does catch a little mist but this hasnt hurt it any at all, For 80.00 bucks its been well worth it, And yes the I/R works great..Im going to buy another soon. Great for the price!

Thanks for the review. There seem to be so many companies and models on Ebay. Also MJPEG or H.264? Which camera would you recommend that has WiFi connectivity, HD picture, pans, tilts, etc. for less than $75? It should also be easy to set up (plug and play) and work reliably in the long run. Thanks!
For the email setting I set it to text my phone carrier when motion triggers, but it takes 50 sec !! that's awhile. is that about average? also can I get snapshot or video in the text? thanks

got a question, I got my camera for almost a year now, yesterday I tried the cruise function it didn't work, I gave up and then the motion recording wasn't working for about an hour, then it was recording again. Today I tried to set a different setting for motion recording and it just kept on recording one after another,and there is no motion at all! for both incidents I restarted both router and camera and it's still the same, any idea what's wrong? never happen before
If you unplug it from power does it still works

hi need some help here, I accidentally installed ipcwebcomponent.exe twice when I try to access camera on chrome (normally I access it from firefox) I also renamed the folder to "ipcwebcomponent chrome" in program folder. Now both browsers say "Plugins are not found, Click me to download" and when I manually drag ipcwebcomponenet.exe to add-on page it says it's corrupt. what do I do now? also IPAddress:Port/plugins.crx it returns 404.
Can I save video on NAS?
I have this cam and I can't get it to logon from a mac using safari. It works on Windows using edge or IE but not mac. It always has a "timeout" anyone know how to fix this?

Dans Tech yeah my workplace is just a local trader, just an IT repair shop software and hardware, we got two shops (one workshop and a retail shop) and we have these up in the corners, they seem pretty cool :p

Hi, once setup it's all good to go! Dan.
ok front door wifi cam was acting weird, didn't use it for a long time but
always left it on, then today connected to it via wifi, no picture,
restarted it then able to get picture for 2,3 min then went out again,
then pc won't connect online at all, restarted router didn't work, had
to restart pc then it was working, that was weird it never happen
before, and 2nd cam was fine. (if people are messing around with my wifi
cam they can only see the feed? can they also gain access to your
pc/network etc?!)
I have high suspicion of neighbor kids. Before when I had wifi on,
sometimes I won't be able to connect to internet at all, just all of a
sudden it just won't connect, and before that it was all fine. then
after I reboot router it's fine again. also for awhile I turned off
wifi and the problem didn't happen at all!!! several instances it
happened during the time that the kids are normally at home.
Sounds like neighbor kids or old router? can they plant malare/spyware?!

does this foscam record footage?
Yes, up to 32gb of memory with continuous recording, FTP transfer. It also emails 3 pictures on motion and/or sound detection, and MUCH much much more
my camera doesn't tilt when plugged in no green light either any suggestions ? thanks in advance .

One of my cameras failed in less than 6 months. I come to find out that Foscam will only stand behind their work for a lousy 30 days. This tells me that they have no faith in their own product. Don't waste your money. My system has been stripped from my building and placed directly into the trash. I'll be shopping for a different brand. Hopefully I won't get screwed again.
