HI Just a question do I have to set the static ip in the camera and in the router at the same settings , so it can always find the cam on the network ?
hi...have installed the foscam before and it worked fine where I can remote access from my cell phone from anywhere in the world....I recently switched routers to an asus ac1200 and now I CANT access it remotely anymore....I can access video from my phone when I am using the wifi...but when I switch to my cell network....NOTHING>fails to connect...can you help me out?thanks...I've already tried disabling firewalls on the router and nothing...I'm connect through no-ip.com
I am not able to see the pan controls. did you need to upgrade the firmware before getting the camera to work correctly?

hi. I dont have a phisical connection to the router, but I can get inside the router. Is there sasny chance to setup the camera without connecting it with a cable??

I wish this guy had to set up a camera with no knowledge of it and had to use this video as a guide. GOOD LUCK with that. Maybe if he spent more time on superfluous information....
I had to reset the camera after setting it up once on my old router. It had worked great for two years. Well now I got it all set up-- can see my camera in the Foscam app-- but cannot log into it in a browser like here. "Username/passwords do not match." admin / [blank] doesn't work. admin / admin doesn't work. My old username and password don't work. Help!
After I login, I don't get a live video feed. Care to explain that?
When I clicked on the 'plug-in not found...' link, it downloaded IPCWebcomponents for me. When I ran this executable, it installed a bunch of dll files. But afterwards it still says plug-in not found. I am on Google Chrome.
the file downloaded when the link is displayed is not the same file in this video and cannot be added to chrome

Video is out of date. You can no longer use Firefox or Chrome. They will not allow the needed plug-in to be installed. Also it does not cover using Windows 8 or 10.
Great tutorial, the manual makes it look easy, but it aint.
Followed instructions except used Windows 7. Double-click down the cam Installed the active-x plug-in then received a certificate error. I manually added the certificate to the trusted certificates folder then another "certification authority not signed" error popped up and then then crashed the browser program. This sucks! Just when I thought I was getting somewhere I get dumped on again. Foscam will never get my business again.
After watching your informative video,several times my cam still wont come on. Guessing I'll have to call the Manufacture...
Shitty product. Not working on Mac or Windows
Really disappointed that this is from "FoscamUS". I'd expect a far better tutorial. Think about it practically. People simply want a straight forward setup process to use it for wireless. Guess I'm on my own and will find a better tutorial from an actual user. smh
Foscam software quality is total crap, beside active-x for IE its basicaly non-existant. I regred i bought this cam (FI9805W).

The IP Camera Tool fails to find the camera, oh yeah it is connected to the router. So fails at step zero.
Isn't there anything more recent?? Support on Foscam website is the same, no support for latest Firefox, chrome, Edge etc etc, on all the only thing that pops up is telling u the plugins not found. I have installed numerous times, rebooted. nothing works. as far as i'm concerned, Foscam suck. Steer clear of their cameras!!!
bad tutorial all issues are prepared. missing how to find plugging and other extensions. to much talk about common knowledge. bad bad
The plug-in is not downloaded, but the EXE file (IPCWebComponents.exe) And no browser in 2017 supports

This whole video is predicated on the IP tool working. What a crappy product
