I never beat the game when I played it originally, and now I just started emulating it thanks to a wave of nostalgia. I NEVER knew about this. pretty sure money is what held me back from beating it before, so now I'm gonna have to use this!
I've played this game since it came out back in 2003, played it 20 or 30 times and had no idea about this. Feels kinda dirty but will be useful in endgame
There's actually another way to get easy money in this game, believe it or not. To do so, you first must invent the Turkey spheda club. Once you do, make a whole bunch of them, and then sell them. Interestingly, the materials you need to make a Turkey spheda club cost 90 gilda, while it sells for 230, so you'll be making 140 gilda for each one.
While this works and is useful, I feel like this is a late game thing. What I do for cash is recruit mayor need as soon as it is possible to recruit people. When you keep him in your party monsters drop extra cash. While the increase seems insignificant, it piles up at a steady rate and as long as you aren't spending money like you just won the lottery you'll generally be fine for cash even with the need to buy things in bulk for georama.
The way I get money early game is selling all of Erik's improved bombs. I like having Gerald in my party for extra gun synthesis points, then use Pao after chapter 4. I pretty much only use money for Georama and stat crystals, so I really don't need money until chapter 8 when I wanna buy a bunch of coins from Morton.

I started playing Dark Cloud 2 again so Imma hella use this
Happy to help. Saves you quite a bit of money farming if you're willing to raise a decent fish.
Does this only work with the fork?
@@NONsenceGUNNA i need help asap where is the story glass @
@nonsencegunna It works with any lure. @Yvonne Gonzalez You get the starglass at the Starlight Temple Tool Shop.
I don't know why, but this had me laughing my ass off 😂😂🤦♂️
hahahahahhah your comment did that to me
Hahaha me too, the sound plus the fact that he spams on a fork XD

I didn't know about that. Might have to try it.
@@matthewkuscienko4616 This is what I did back in the day cuz it felt less cheap than glitching lures
@@Onewheelordeal For me, it was more because I never bothered to recruit Olivie (the firbit girl you need to recruit to be able to get lures)

You need to be really in the story to do this then you can get the rod
I feel like I have to beat fish frenzy first for special rod and lures, and to get Olivie first
You do. It's not that hard to beat the easiest difficulty if you put a bit of time into raising a decent fish.
I'm seeing this trick for the first time, literally the very same day I just got the platinum trophy...
For any wayward souls struggle with getting all the inventions, the antidote amulet isn't listed in most of the guides.
Now I can die.
Congrats on getting the platinum. I don't have the patience for that.
Lol. Thanks. It only took me like 10 years.
@newhavencon-py5yy I'm on chapter 8 right now finishing up getting all the medals and then inventions. I will remember this. Thank you so much.
Does it have to be a lure rod?
Yes. For whatever reason, equipping the same lure onto the lure rod doesn't unequip the equipped bait like the regular fishing rod does.
Still works lmao 11/4/2022 ps5
wonder if it still works now this game is on ps5
It still works . Thanks
It doesn’t let me put the lure on the rod :(
If you're still trying to do this. Make sure its the right fishing rod. Some only take lures while others like the first one in the game get bait
Lures can only be placed on the Lure Rod, which can be invented with the ideas: fish, Lafrescia Stem, and river.
AlwaysLiteral yeeees you are right
It’s work thanks 🙏
Well forkin'-A!
Why wouldn't it STILL work? it's a game from 2002 that isn't even made anymore. It's not like it's a live service game getting updates LMAO?
I guess past me didn't know it was just emulating the ps2 and wasn't a port. I dunno. If I could go back and ask him, I would.
Huh awesome 👌
uhg i did the slowest infinite money glitch ever, this is way faster
Cool
