Using the glitch menu, it is now possible to get the Chronicle 2 sword before facing the first boss. It also has a max WHP (Weapon Hit Points) of 301, making it better than the one you get when defeating the Black Knight Pendragon in the Demon Shaft.
You can use a glitch that will make this and every other weapon unbreakable here:

How does one even discover a glitch like this?
A lot of glitches are discovered by accident, and refined by trial and error; I'd suspect this glitch started with someone randomly mashing buttons (thereby discovering the inventory slots glitch and the item manipulation glitch), and then others tested it further to see what they could do, resulting in the eventual discovery of the Early Chronicle 2 and the Broken Dagger Attachment glitches.

I used the trigger with the georama menu, the glitch menu never shows the buster sword :/ just a divine beast title and mallet on ps4
What on Earth? How did someone figure this ridiculousness out?
getting into the code of the game and reading item values within the code and what numbers certain things are assigned to. it's very odd and hard to explain, if you're interested to know more you should check out "Get Item Manipulation" in Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. There's videos that explain how it works.
How do you fix thr menu if it breaks? It deleted everything from my inventory and says it has 0 slotz. Anyway to fix this?
I got it but it only had 1 whp left and I couldn't repair it so it just immediately broke

Can't get it to work. I just filled my inventory with invisible items and colored blocks
I was able to pull the dagger, but entering the glitch menu was difficult. I was able to pull an invisible item, but the menu didn't change at all. I quit for awhile and came back, maybe the time limit has something to do? I don't know, but I was able to enter the glitch menu, and following the remaining instructions, was able to pull the sword. You might want to clarify in video, it's possible to pull an invisible item, but not trigger the menu, and a solution, if you know of one. I send my thanks, now I have experimenting to do with these new blades.
Neather ones working on ps4 getting the steel hammer but not letting me drop it in menu to continue prosses plz help.
The glitch menu doesn’t come up. I can get the broken dagger into my inventory and then the item that triggers it’s after, but it won’t let me put it down anywhere in my inventory when I press L1 and then X.
You might be playing on the PAL version of the game. If that is the case, pokemonfan4000 has a video for that in this video’s description
Just found out that NTSC U/C version only partially works. I can get up to having it, but when I try to customize it my game freezes. RIP me
This keeps not working for me. I get the broken dagger, then the glitched bullion and after the bullion it quits working. Wont let me do the L1 +x to drop it correctly
Finally managed to get to the glitch menu! But when I start doing the 13sec scroll down I see no items there and can't pick anything...what I am doing wrong? Im using Pc2sc emulator

How can I tell if the game is NTSC U or American version because the game case says NTSC U/C at the top corner and when I pull the broken dagger it's fine but when I try pulling out the glitch menu it freezes the game please help =(
After many many more attempts all this has done is glitch out my inventory slots making me lose inventory spaces permanently
What happens if you save the game with the glitched sword? Will the save file end up slightly corrupted or something? Will item slots be permanently lost?
I love this game and the second is just as good

Hell I just use the dagger as an attachment I mean it maxes all your stats so screw the rest lol I just got enough daggers for all my weapons

How do I turn off the menu glitch after I got the sword?
The only way i found myself is by doing this all at the beginning of the game. Dont complete paiges house until you do this glitch and get the sword. Then finish the house, get the 10 item upgrade and boom. You have 10 inventory slots. You don't get your other 50 back but its something. Wish i could figure out how to get it back to normal myself.

After I cleared the inventory, got the sword, then reinstated the inventory with max defense I'm wondering, how can I get a fishing pole? The original one that I got was deleted so how can I fish..for fun?

maybe when you get an upgrade for your pocket it will reset the slots to normal
Seriously I need to know too lol. I wanted a very fast run through of the game as i just ordered 2 more of my favorite games and wanted to replay this quickly because I love the game but I did this grind over 10 years ago.

U need apple of edens they pop out randomly when ur building houses in those small boxxes hiddin around town
Gourds increse the water u have before dehydration and theres special items for defence like fish candy for xiao or fluffy doughnut for toan

You may need to use the alternate trigger to get into the glitch menu. A link for that trigger is in the description. As for getting rid of the invisible items, save the game and reset. As long as you don't view the "Weapon" or "Allies" screen after re-loading, you should be able to throw the invisible items away.

+Super-Human True, you cannot. But here's a tip. Grab a garbage weapon like a buyable Gladius, and attach one or two broken daggers to it. You can sell that, and get mad bank. The game factors in the value of attachments when you sell a weapon, so you can sell the gladius, which the game recognizes as a sellable item.

if you wanna damage or freeze your ps4 than ya. but it well be fun if you play the game normal y instead of cheating, it makes it not a challenge
+alex lunatiko I guess and it is a very good game but glitches can really hard game sytem or crash. I like to play the game normaly n fair so I can enjoy myself n get really for challenge. plus I never played dark cloud 2 n dont know nothing about it.

im on v1.02 US and this doesn't work. i cannot place the glitched item where you say. i wasted 2 hours setting this up. i'm not impressed. i would suggest deleting this considering it DOESN'T EVEN WORK

This one, I can get the buster sword and customize and use it but can't have the glitch menu wrap over to the hag to get the chronicle 2 sword. Which is a real bummer.
