I remember this concert at the Family arena, hearing Third Eye as their opener I knew we were in for a treat.
Did you see them open up with No Quarter at Chavietz? THAT was a treat
I hope heaven is just being at this gig on repeat
I remember being at this show. I'll never forget after third eye when he said nothing on the outside world matters. This was an amazing 2 hours.
Love how everyone starts lighting up as soon as third eye starts
Cool profile pic! 🤟

@@IceKoldKilla I agree!

I've been watching TOOL for the last two weeks and just can't get enough....so here I go again..............
I was there. Very top row on the right side of the stage. I've got a signed screen printed poster above my fireplace in my living room. They did a different one for every date on this tour. That was a great show! Very cool to see this uploaded, Thanks!!!
Excellent quality. Thanks again, ToolArchive.
That 60 fps is beautiful.
Third eye is incredible in this. Not to mention the set list, video and production quality. 💯⚡️
Something magical happens when these 4 humans are on stage.
u mean aliens :)))
@@Cymanytb I see what you did there 😂😂
this is the best live audio and video tool has ever made up to this date !!!
Thank you once again, ToolArchive! Keep rocking on! Love your work, spreading and keeping Tool's work alive! Much appreciated!
60FPS looks so AMAZING!! Thank you for the upload!
the quality is phenomenal. thank you!
BEST BAND EVER!
Radiohead
@@MyBeautifulDarkTwistedFantasy6 tool is better than radiohead
23:20 amazing save. Adam fkn Jones!
The performance of The Patient is exactly why Tool is so succesful. The amount of emotion Danny Carey puts into this performance is like nothing else in this world, and makes me tear up every time I watch it.
Any chance you meant to mention a different song - maybe 46&2? As usual, Carey is amazing and shows how great he is in every song in this show. However, imo The Patient shows very little of his greatness - as compared to other songs in this show
No. Carey is sick on the Patient. It's less flashy then 46&2, but he puts lots of emotion into this performance of the patient.
Ramsey Harrison it’s one of my choices for greatest Tool track written of all time that epitomises their sound, writing style, and incorporating one of the finest examples of how they build to a crescendo that not many artists/bands can emulate. Disposition/Reflection, the serious contender. But it’s practically impossible to ever settle on any clear winner with every track a masterpiece in its own right.
And now that I’ve actually seen this performance I can have a meaningful opinion on it...do they ever do a bad job of this track? Exceptional example, lots of extra fills and extra “skips” from Danny in this one. More proof, if anyone still needs it, they are the best finishers in the business!
The quality is soooo good! Favorite band by far!
+Drumdums Oh...and seeing Puscifer in November...can't wait!
+Drumdums I'm seeing Puscifer in April! Just saw Tool in January! This is turning out to be a stellar year!
Finman Yeah I saw Tool in January as well...in Atlanta. Amazing show! Puscifer was amazing too!
Always loved the way Maynard was the dancing balloon man in the background!
Haha was thinking the exact same thing
Thank you very much for posting high quality staff!
wow. great quality. saw this show on shrooms in sf. it was fucking fantastic. thanks taper.
Yummy in 60fps, how lucky we are. Thankyou TA!
Those last minutes to third eye are always incredible, but live it's just fucking amazing
Best Live UTUBE of Tool i've ever watched to this day !!
Agree this is a visually stunning stage show, and nicely captured. Thanks recorders and uploader for the archive. For all of you eagerly awaiting the new tour, you will not be disappointed. Most beautiful thing I’ve seen, a whole new level! Haven’t got all the way through this vid yet but my god, the screens and lighting forJambi are sublime!
Absolutely incredible! Danny literally starts shaking the entire building at 41:35
Danny is just getting better as the years pass.
OH MY FUCKING GOD THAT EXTENDED PART AT THE END OF THIRD EYE! 🤯
TA dammit ! thanks!
Thank you so much for posting this. first Tool show and my all time favorite concert.
Imagine the audacity of starting your concert with Third Eye. Holy shit, the balls on the gents.
Maynard, the band and the recording are very good!
I was there at floor section next to rail. I want share a funny story about that concert. There was a dude a few people away from me and close to rail. There was a security guy in between on the otherwise of the rail. The dude must have been so fukced up because he kept asking the security guy for two beers and shot of whiskey throughout the whole concert while holding a twenty dollar bill in his hand. Finally the security guy snapped yelled at him and tried to grab him, but failed. Then the dude disappeared among the people, still looking for two beers and a shot.
10/10 story would read again
11/10 it gets better with time
I also have a pretty funny story. My wife and I got there and camped out the whole day basically to get the spot that we did on the floor which was so amazing. So amazing that when my wife had to pee so bad about half way through 46 and 2 that she was literally going to piss herself and we were not about to lose our spot out miss any of the show. Long story short, 1 girl, 1 cup. Luckily I opted for the $89 jumbo beer! Lol nobody noticed a thing. That’s how entranced people were man. They didn’t notice a woman squat down right next to them and piss in a cup! She held it there between her feet u motionless until the show was over and indiscreetly picked it up and walked out with it to the bathroom!😅
I can’t get enough of “The Patient”
Awesome! I was at this show.
They should open all their shows with that statement, “ think for yourself, question authority.”🔥🔥🔥
Was there! still think its the best concert I've seen in my life
+Jonathan Linderer ,,, i was too, I agree.
yeah, did u know they are coming to St. Louis in January?
Who needs an official Live DVD/BluRay when we get those - thanks ToolArchive!
Thanks toolarchive.
1:26:27 = Watching this on full screen, at full volume, at that moment I thought my face was going to jump out the back of my head.
Sick crowd
My fav part of this is when Adam's guitar detunes/fucks up at the end of Jambi, and he has to pause for like 2 seconds during a solo guitar part to tune, then he comes back in at some super odd interval. Shows how easily that stuff can come off the rails, even though they make it seem so easy.
in sf he said - how many of ya'll are 20 years or younger? "crowd cheers" "ya'll were sperm when we wrote this song."
??? couldn't get it either.
found this part really funny, the guy fucking hates us haha!
+Shawn Roach he says "For those of you over 21 or 25 you better wipe that smug look of your face"
You were somewhere between the ages 1 and 5
I was a lonely sperm when tool was formed and the Berlin Wall was taken down
Amazing
Alex Martinez Tool are not from this planet. They are from a different universe
Amazing.
Yeah. Danny Carey and Justin Chancellor are just gd machines. Tight as hell. Lots of love to Tool. I would love to see them again.
COME BACK I LIVE RIGHT NEAR HERE NOW!!!!!
I struggle to find a more intense and emotional live version of this St.Charles "The Patient" in the last 20 years (so excluding of course the 2001 and 2002 tours)
Danny Carey is a such a beast! there is incredible metal drummers and then there is him! Fitting he is drumming for the best tho really!
DAMN the visuals were way better in 2010 than on their 2014 tour!!
Tool, Aphex Twin, Autechre Fan was Here \m/
+mostafa onsy Thx for sharing and Filming This :)
The Tim Leary intro!
Sinn, Verstand und technische Exzellenz ..... Mega
I was tripping my ass off on shrooms, great concert.
I Was wiping my ass with shrooms to stop the bleeding...feel me?
Wow mommy look at me i need drugs to have a good time
@@EndZiiel I bet you need coffee to get out of bed. Shut up.
That would have been tripped out!
O_o I never noticed that the blue/yellow lights up top during Jambi looked like the Alex Grey painting
Alex Grey works with Tool to make their art. Adam Jones and him in particular.
I love Tool, I'm 23 and when I was in high school 10,000 days came out. My friends were divided by it, some absolutely loved it and embraced the weird niche it explored, others hated it and said it was taking itself way to seriously. To this day I love tool, but its now 2015 and here we are still waiting for the album. When it does drop, I'm sure it will be great and I also hope it is the last album of new music they ever release. I think its no secret Maynard has moved on to other things in his life, Tool isn't his center or focus, Hell the guy basically says "I'm 50 now, I pushed myself when I wrote those songs, I'm having trouble singing them today in 2015" so I think the best idea is for tool to release a UNPLUGGED version of their songs. This would allow maynard to sing "softer" versions of the songs with his mature 50 year old ass and really give his fans and the world a new microscope to look at Tool's songs under. Think alice in chains unplugged, how legendary is that concert. I love alice in chains , but that unplugged is something special.
Just because Maynard has created a solid foundation for himself doesn't mean Tool should stop creating music. I really don't understand your logic there.
Maynard Said Himself That "We Will Keep On Making Music Until One Of Us Dies."
Hernandez8895 Did he say that with capital letters in front of every word? :-P
23:00 even tool can't escape the bs from a detuned guitar.
royercrafter yeah what happened here? One of Adams pedals or boxes stuck on or glitching out? Was a strange one.
lol thats rough water right there. i know that game.
Idk what it is about jambi but they always have tech issues with that one
shit happens
Bye Lt. Bam/Napalm...It was nice to know you.
Intolerance is a hell of a treat
Jesus. This taper has no love for bassists at all, I don't think he zooms in on Justin once lol.
+whenrussiansattack he does during Jambi.
This is my favorite juggalo band
holy shit
fuckin' good
The crowd doesn't nail those last lines of Vicarious like Maynard, I wish he would sing it out.
expertslayerx .
i ike tool
What camera was filming at 1080p @ 60p in 2010??
Time travel
Upscale
oh, he fancy, huh?
Wherd. :D
1:14:11 Danny is usually a good 92% Octopus, and then this shit happens.
Who is playing on second drum set on Lateralus?
14:00 Did the camera-person just pass out or something? Way to miss a highlight of the song and focus on the screen behind them.
+Crabbadabba quit whining, Did you pay for it? Did you have to watch it?
No, but clearly whoever recorded this took time out of there own life to hold a camera up. If you're gonna do that usually you want to do a good job all the way through to make it worth it.
Danny Carey 🔥🔥🔥🔥🥁
INTOLERANCE EXTENDED VERSION ???
Wow something we haven't heard before ...taking notes ( 55:45 MARK )
lol 1:30:15 "The popcorn is delicious"
Do Tool ever tour in the UK?
and the netherlands please
2 and 10 of may if I’m not mistaken. I will fly from Barcelona to see them on the 10th. Hope you can make it! 🤘🏻
I feel that Justin is becoming the more prevalent sound and talented player in the band. Maynard started out with the voice of and angry god, and he still has that greatness, just a little dialed back at times. I think Adam is starting to loose his touch a bit but still has the potential to do great things. And Danny with just be a musical monster from beginning to end. Anyone else feel similar or opposing feelings?
Maynard is 20 years older than he was 20 years ago obviously, and after 20 years of... being Maynard, his voice is probably fairly strained, to say the least. Lost some of its power for sure, but it's the emotion he sings with that really makes it.
I'm a drummer and I don't know shit about other instruments, so I can't really speak for Adam and Justin... Danny is still going very strong and emergetically despite being over 50 years old, and only getting more creative as time goes by.
Although I can't fully appreciate all aspects of them, Tool are amazing songwriters and musicians. Very curious as to what they will release next, and I honestly don't care how l ong it takes. I'm willing to wait.
Spencer WhyDoIHaveToEnterMyWholeName Completely agree with all your points. From what I heard, the member that is pushing for the new album the most is Justin. Probably because he has no side projects. I am a bassist so I am really excited to see what he does because 10,000 days had some of the best bass lines I have ever heard and such a blast to play.
RudeDudeVooDoo As do I with yours. With songs like Schism though, it's much easier to really feel the bass line, as Danny plays the hi-hat along with it. And I never really thought about it, but that most definitely is why he's more eager to work on it than the others, who all have side projects.
Adam edge, done destroyed every genre, just not flashy. MJK is Himself. Danny too. Justin getting distinct better.
I know this concert is seven years old but... Anyone else hear that at least three distinctive "new riffs?"
Damn it! It’s not normal to love Tool so much! wtf is wrong with me. :)
It sounds like nothing seems to satisfy
why the f did maynard take a picture of adam's pedalboard :D 6:41
Look at those fucking lights.
It's kind of like Justin and Danny have switched traditional guitar-bass roles in a lot of songs. Bass being the more forefront of the two in tool and guitar making occasional pauses and not playing at all.
Far out, could have been there...
they were A bit late in the intro of Third Eye
COME TO BRAZIL!
wow, Maynard wears cloths? wicked awesome video though. Timothy Leary was the true star of this show though.
Musta been cold 🤘😂
Westlake represents.
lol adam jones in pigtails
I love it.
Cute
Since the new album will be the last they are obligated to make, does anyone know if there is a time limit imposed on them by their label? They have made no mistakes as yet, and I would hate to see time become a factor, as badly as I want to hear their newest work.
What do you think now that it's out?
You know Justin is a member of the band, right? Fucking hell. Did someone tear out your right eye?
Who's the other drummer?
Who is the second Drummer in lateralus?
Dale crover? Neil pert? Dude from mashugga. The usual suspects.
Jesus died on cross and rose again
and I'm the Queen of England
If the intended message from the post by rastabg23 (see below) is that Tool is not as "heavy" as they used to be, it's actually not too far off from the truth (and I say "Tool", not just "Maynard",purposely). It's actually intentional by Adam, Maynard, & Danny (I've not heard much Justin's thoughts). I was 14yo when Undertow came out(so I guess that makes me OGT-minus-1 or 2 years (or something to that affect, lol). So, as Maynard has stated on many an occasion, 50 year old men(And yes, most of them are right around 50yo. Contrary to popular belief, Tool did not come together until they were already approx 27-28yo) don't have songs in them that are full of rage, hatred, teenage angst & so on. During the times of Opiate, Undertow, and most of AEnima, the band DID HAVE a lot of those things in them to sing about (see: Swamp Song, Prison Sex, Opiate among others). As ppl grow older however, they feel #1)there are many things in this world that will always be around & we can't change (Fuck these dysfunctional insecure actresses, Fuck L. Ron Hubbard.....), so that is no longer burning within you to scream out(literally, lol). So then, #2) as we grow older, we have many other things & responsibilities that we deal with, starting families, learning how to pass on/not pass on certain traits, dealing with parents & other relatives growing older & passing away, etc------(Parabol/Parabola, 10,000 days, Wings for Marie). 50yo men aren't itching to write music and/or lyrics about stuff that we've grown to understand and deal with(whether we like it or not).
This holds true with any "real" band. Listen to Pearl Jam's 1st albums, then pop is their last few. I don't know if anyone has heard of this small band, but in the early 60's a small band named "The Beatles" came out.....& if I recall correctly, they had a song titled "Please, Please Me", then about 6 or so yrs later they had some songs, like "Hey Jude" & "While My Guitar Gently Weeps".....Im not going to elaborate on that because I think it does so pretty well on it's own. And call me crazy, but I highly doubt Kurt (RIP) would be writing lyrics about "not fitting in in high school" if we were still with us.
Bands put out whatever topic is on their mind at that given time in their lives. We all have our own opinion on whether we like the music or to, sure. But it's that farthest thing in the world to say that Tool isn't the "real Tool" now., or Maynard isn't the 'old Maynard". No shit he isn't. Nor does he or anyone else claim that he is. If he DID claim to be, then Icould certainly understand the frustration, but he's made it pretty obvious that we shouldn't be holding out for the next version of "Hush" to be coming out any time soon".
Im sure many ppl may consider this following statement to be blasphemy, but just look at Ozzy on stage nowadays. For a man who's music Ive always loved, any sight of him attempting to perform live these days nearly brings a tear to my eye. Ozzy live anytime over the last 20 years has been sad. Truly. It's sad that the performance is sad, lol, but the performance IS sad. Therein lies the easiest way to explain it.
Very well said. I enjoyed reading your post. I've read it three times now. You've put my thoughts in to words. Also, "The Noose" is the most powerful song I have ever heard, next to a song called "H." by Tool.
wtf is maynard wearing lol
A t-shirt shorts and a ball cap
Its in 360p
You sure about that one?
Believe in lord Jesus
get the fuck out
Fuck off! You're bringing religion to a rock concert? Go smoke a blunt and do a tab then you'll see your religious experience 😜🤘
terrible voice ong whu did he use here monofone?
