I have been around a while, I am 67, seriously listening to all genres of music. Chris Cornell is a God. His voice is touched by angels. He has a gift and a power. All my love Chris!
I don't think I knew of the existence of this version before, and I'm a huge Cornell fan. He's the gift that keeps on giving, and even from beyond he doesn't stop amazing me.
@Rowan Melton - He could have a ":great voice" but it doesn't change the fact that he ripped off an inconic band. His fans are inbred trash look at the audience. He caters to low iq people who don't understand music. Jack White wrote and plays the song without a bass in Detroit and these fools are violating the premise of the author.
You wouldn't know a great performance if it hit you in your fuck face! The Cover is brilliant and better than Jack White could ever think of. Cornell can sing rings around anyone you got and the audio is just fine until the sound guy turned it up to much during the last verse but still amazing! Is it Soundgarden? Fuck No but this band was way ahead of its time and every album was amazing!! Long Live Chris Cornell!!!!!!!
He really had one of the greatest voices in music history. His range is nothing but extraordinary. I was always a bigger Audioslave fan. So thankful i got to see them in '04. So long ago but so memorable. Such an inspiration. So sad.
He had a perfect voice for rock, metal, blues, folk, and just about anything else but pop and hip-hop. He is the greatest rock male vocalist of all time.
More like audioslave wanted to have a current hit vibe not the old stuff vibe they had In their story they had a super successful first album but didn't really tour This 2nd album was their first real tour and last too but to present themselves as a band
In my opinion one of the greatest Super Groups. Of course, Chris would make anything a Super Anything. Hoping you're forever resting in peace wherever you are, Chris. 😇🙏
@@GL.Sorrelldefinitely is a better song , not even just in the vocals the whole band played it better. It even caught your attention 😭😭😭 what about that
When I first saw this video this cover impressed me so greatly I told my nephews, there's 'this guy' doing an unbelievable cover of 7 Nation Army. He has something special, I told them. I didn't know him. I didn't know he had gone already. Still I watch this from time to time and it still gives me the same inspiration. Thank you for posting
His voice was extremely authentic and everytime I listened to I am the highway I'd get chills every time. I'm gonna miss you cris may you know you are loved and missed
I saw this tour, and was amazed when they did this. it was a current, on the radio, song. I have seen hundreds of great live national acts. I dare say I have almost seen them all! I have never once seen a band cover a song that is so contemporary. I respect that they did this. it just says to me 'hey you guys, this song is amazing.' the downside of this tour is his voice was just terrible. I had thought he couldn't sing anymore after screaming for a decade in Soundgarden. I now know he can sing, perhaps better than ever. Don't know if i caught a bad night, or year, but all is forgiven. Chris Cornell is amazing!
All the words are gonna bleed from me And I will sing no more And the stains coming from my blood Tell me go back home RIP the most beautiful voice Chris Cornell
Everybody talking Chris but forgetting about Tom. What he does on his guitar during the second and 3rd verse(its almost a synthesizer lol) + the solo is insaannneeeee 😍
Chris is a bad ass and will sing whatever the fuck he wants to. Tom Morello will ( and can ) play anything he goddamn wishes. The other guys? Please. They own it too.
God bless you Chris you were part of my childhood and beyond. You are a musical icon and I will always believe you are an angel among us. Fly hi Chris.....you are free now. Thank you for the amazing music.
Chris, Tom, Timmy, and Brad = Rock gods. Should have stayed together, but too late now. RIP Chris...you were the best, man. Morello, make that guitar weep brother.
No, I do and I should. But it's okay -- it's part of my growth as a human being, to realize my failings. How can you listen to that music and not realize there has to be hurt beneath that angst? I owe a lot to music and to people like Chris and many others who hurt -- Jim Morrison, Joan Baez, Neil Young, Ben Orr, Nancy Griffith -- many, many more. Tom Morello. Bob Dylan. Tom Petty. They and music got me through the worst period of my life, when I had so much stress I felt like my skin was on fire. Music relieves your pain because it is pure emotion. It draws the pain and stress right out. But I guess it doesn't work that way for musicians. So yeah, I am ashamed that I didn't realize earlier Chris was in pain. I didn't even bother to look up his biography and find out where he was from. I did love his music and his spirit and I'm so sorry we couldn't all lift him up and keep him safe.
Great original music and Chris's mighty hypnotic voice and his charisma...legend...musical world will always miss him...so sad that he is not already between us ...
Chris was awsome in all those bands and in solo. Both bands were 2 of my favourites bands of alltime. They had great names (and it's rare) with significant and simple meaning (thanks to Chris) and amazing songs that sounded like no one else. I would love your input on our last video from our first album. It got the attention of one of my heroes Joe Bouchard (ex bass player founding members of BÖC) who is following us on Soundcloud but returns from people who likes same music is always the best. Chris Cornell could cover anyone and always made it as good or better. His was a rare gift. We are so lucky he shared so much with us.
How I miss Audioslave...
Agreed. Is two of us enough of a demand for them to reassemble for an encore?
best band after 2000
SADLY MISSED
I miss every single band where those guys was in ...good thing is that we have Prophets of rage .. for now ... I hope as long as possible !!!

You never want Cornell covering your songs. He makes them his and never gives them back lol.
Look what he did to "Imagine". Never sounded the same with Lennon singing it after I heard him.
Hahaha

Dennis Justus tbh, he was kinda out of tune like, the entire song. im just here for morello, wasn't disappointed
Dennis Justus I wasn't slating him by any means, but he was just terrible this time, i love his voice but it isn't suited to this song at all.
He didn't live that long :(
I think every song EVER should be covered by Chris Cornell...this man is a fucking genius!

He actually did a song with Timberland. Chris has a soulful voice too. I miss him.
This cover is so badass I miss him
This man was my childhood, my mom would put on Audioslave to put me sleep as a baby. I just wish I could have seen him live.
Rest in peace Chris ❤️
My opinion He has the best Rock voice ever.
It's between him and layne staley
great voice, but Robert Plant kills
Robert Plant, Serj Tankian, Freddie Mercury... He's damn good, but there are still some people way over him... In my own opinion, anyways...
Oh,so you don't know Janis Joplin,too bad!
eddy vedder vs chris cornell!!!
This dude was something else...Forever in my music list. CHRIS CORNELL.
You know you're good when you sound just as good live as in studio.
There was absolutely no song he couldn't sing.... Amazing vocal range! Amazing singer! You'll always be missed Chris Cornell. RIP

Holy crap...this is how you do it. Wow.
His perspective tones were amazing. He completely took the correct posture of voice to cover this.
Chris could sing the phonebook and you would believe it was straight from Gods mouth.

Chris Cornell had a golden voice. Sadly missed. Rest In Peace
Chris so versatile, so special that is why he and this band will be missed. Rest in Peace Chris Cornell
If I'm not mistaken, The White Stripes were a relatively new band back then. To have someone like Chris Cornell sing their song, wow!
it was new to the public but they had already made 3 albums before

This is the best version of Seven Nation Army I have ever seen. It's absolutely beatiful.

Damn, Seven Nation Army with a bassist and a proper drummer. Fucking badass!!!!!
+TheCryptCrusader A proper drummer is someone who keeps the beat, and does it well.
+Stonewall380 Entertainment Meg White is pretty simple honestly. This drummer is way better.
TheCryptCrusader Doesn't have to be a technical drummer to be a good drummer. :)
