At the end, Chester says about Chris Cornell, “He’s got the most beautiful voice.” No truer words ever spoken. To have lost those 2 artists in such a short span of time left a void in many a man’s soul, including mine. I come back to these videos to reacquaint myself with the spirit that poured out of these men. Their legacy lives on forever. Peace

Until now, I'd been avoiding Chester Bennington videos since the news of his death. It's just too much to take in. This was beautiful. Two amazing people are gone but not forgotten.
"He's got the fuckin' most beautiful voice in rock and roll, man" Something I've always loved about Linkin Park, specially Chester, is their humbleness. What a wonderful and solemn thing to say.
It's 2020 now. I am back here again. Still crying while watching this, still not over it. It breaks my heart every time yet it is still the most beautiful performance ever. I miss both very much
The way Chris does the jump... 'I've felt this way before, so INSECUUUUURE'. I mean, he's just walking, it's like he doesn't even realize he's going to jump five notes in less a second.

Fact: Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred into other forms. The energy from Chester and Chris' voices are still travelling somewhere on this Earth.
Not sure what either of these two men were going through, but when you hear this song it just gives you chills. Two amazingly talented people with everything and yet they were still fighting Demons. Life can be crazy. Miss them both
Life is blowing by. 2030 will be here in no time and we will all be reading this wondering where the time went just like we do now with 2010. Enjoy the ride. It end before you know it.
All I can see is the real friendship they have. I love how Chester smiles while seeing Chris. I guess living in this world without your favorite person is really hard. I just feel that Chris is one of the best reasons why Chester is still living despite his misery, but when that person dies, it's like there's no point to continue life at all. It's sad that their demons consumed them. Such great artists who left us great music. I wish that people who are experiencing agony will find peace and heal themselves thru Chester's creations. Life is beautiful. Music is beautiful. And learning how artists create these masterpieces would really hit us hard and understand them deeper. I can't put into words how sad I am about Chester's passing. Most people around me wouldnt understand me. Theyd say that they are just a band. But, they saved me. They accompanied me. They healed me. They spoke the words I can't even think of. It feels like a really close friend had died. We will miss you..
nicely put! I feel the same, no one understands how you could be sad about someone you didnt personally know. But Linkin Park were part of me growing up as a teenager and I just feel so fucking sad that Chester is gone. He seemed to have such a pure soul and crazy musical and lyrical talent.. It's just heartbreaking..
Yellow Pikachu Tbh I can relate to Chester n my best friend shot him self in front of me n it took all I had & den some to not wanna do the same but if it wasn't for linkin park I would have followed suit to my best friend
It’s been years, but I have to thank you yet again for sending me these audio files years ago. I still come back to the video at least once a week. Ever thankful you’ve managed to preserve such an amazing performance
My first time listen to them and i just saw their interviews...it really touches my heart...best friend forever...RIP cornel and Bennington...You inspired all those who love your music...and may God be with your families..
Mike's Intro. Then Chris and Chester's chorus on different note and pitch, followed by that emotional hug. This is a special video. :') Life is harsh. RIP Angels.
Eerie..2 amazing singers that had depression and died by suicide..and the song they are singing is about depression and they died within a couple months of each other
I grew up on Linkin park. I still remember being too broke to purchase their hybrid theory cd when I was in 6th grade, so I borrowed it from a friend and recorded the whole thing on tape. (People can attest to this) I would walk with my portable tape player to recess everyday and just indulge in their music. Later on, mom and pops bought me reanimation and meteora for my birthday. I was the happiest kid alive. Hearing about Chester today really broke me down. May he rest easy.
CAPS UNO dude i was like you. I recorded the LP song (Numb) using a blank cassete tapes from my local radio stations in Bali (when i was in 5th grade) and I repeated that song over and over again. such a good childhood i've ever felt.
I revisit this video every now and then. I don't think I've seen this in a year or so, so grateful to have grown up with talented musicians like these. I didn't really grow up with Chris Cornell but Linkin Park has definitely been a staple in my life, Rest In Peace Chester, Rest In Peace Chris, the impact you had on so many lives won't be forgotten
Omg, what next?? After Chris passed i watched this video like 100 times cause it was so awesome and you could feel how them 2 guys respected and loved each other. Now both gone! And on Chris's birthday! 😢😢😢 Well they are together again at least! RIP Chris and Chester!!!💜💛💚💙
Lindsey Labans Ohhh God! Undespicable voices of God given and now taken away talents! Love them both, admire them both, weep for them both - RIP Cornell and Chester! Will miss you to death! Soooo broken and depressed! Damn it! It takes me from heartbroken to disbelieving and after a while of crying I realize that will never hear him again alive! Feel so apathetic!
Depression is real. No matter who you are. The beautiful, amazing talent of these artists is gone forever. Their families and friends will carry this pain forever. Think about those that no one knows are suffering. Please get help.
Not Always P C there is no help... you can reach out to talk about what's bothering you.. but in the end it's up to you.. if you're gonna try to get through it... they chose to end their lives... selfish but it was their choice.
They may be gone, but they're talent lives forever. Not just on the record, but in the hearts and minds of everyone they touched. It's up to us now not to let their contributions fade
wow!!! I never felt this happy in a long time.i wish this song with two of the greats would go on forever.im greatful to the one that recorded it.thanks.rip Chester and Chris you've breathed life into my life .
One of the best clips ever, will keep coming back! day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. RIP Chester & Chris I bet you guys make Heave a great place!
I found this video years ago and it became one of my favorites. Only until after Cornell's untimely death did I come back to it and listen to it dozens of times to hear his ungodly voice. Now I find myself revisiting again today after news of Chester's sad passing. Two major forces of Rock and two of the best rock voices and frontmen in history gone. RIP
I can't believe it. When I read he died on Chris' birthday and also after reading his Twitter post when Chris' died, it's so clear it's related. I hope they are there in Heaven singing together now. Both buddies and masters within each genre. Rest in peace guys.
I totally agree with u on that. Heavenly voices. Two of the most talented musicians that ever lived.. amazing listening to them sing together... It gave me goose bumps and tears in my eyes the first time I saw this video after they both passed. I would have given a kidney to see them both together lol
....Except that this was posted in 2008, almost 9 years before their deaths. Also, we all die... and I'm sure there was no death pact in place for almost a decade between the two of them. I mourn their loss just the same, but you're reading into that interaction a bit too much. He was clearly surprised by him and obviously had a sincere excitement to see a dear friend and fellow artist, least of all singing his part.
I meant that Chris doesn't seem aware of how directly his words relate to his own situation and appreciating that energy around my two favorite vocalists ever is too much to put into words. I saw this performance live at my first concert, before I knew who Chris Cornell even was. We arrived late and missed him headlining the show, a regret since I never saw him again.
I've seen other videos of Chris and Chester singing this song, but this is the only one that I have seen that was a surprise to the other coming out and sounds the most genuinely heart felt and not " practiced " Such a gem of a video.
Timeless and breathtaking performance, can't believe they're both gone, forever missed.💓 The look on Chester's face when Chris comes on stage, priceless.
MeytalHead Exactly. Which is why it hurt so bad. Dude always made it feel like like everything was gonna be OK. Like he always had it under control. Even though it wasn't. Even though he didn't. It's as brutal to lose him because of that
Mesmerized first by the powerful (and spot-on perfection) of the duet; Second, I'm leveled by the poignancy of the stage and lyrics being shared by two artists who ended up moving on from this world by their own will. Astonishingly soulful snapshot of a moment of poetry, not just of music but of art, life, and the human struggle to overcome the undertow of pain. RIP.
You and me both man. Hearing him sing gives me chills. A powerful but haunting voice. One of the only few that could match that was Layne Staley and he's sadly dead. if only we could seen a Chris Cornell and Layne Staley collab, that would have been epic.
@Ned Kelly suicided. They didn't commit suicide. They were about to expose child sex trafficking. The powers that SHOULDN'T be are child molesters, pedophiles. Sick disgusting monsters are what they are.
I miss them and their music everyday I think about them both. Your mashups are awesome so moving I find myself in tears. You are a genius. R.I.P CHESTER AND CHRIS !!Youboth will never be forgotten I love and miss you guys so much!!! St least you guys are together again
This is some intense shit. They harmonize perfectly well together. CHESTER my heart is with you man. My heart aches so bad when I hear you talk about that dark neighbourhood between your ears...
Chester and LP got me through a really really dark time in my life. So incredibly sad that what he unknowingly helped me with....eventually he succumbed to. Miss both of these incredible talents.
Please never remove this video. This is one for the ages. RIP both Chris and Chester.
nishikido414 Thank you very much for sharing this video.

And it looks like Chris did it so effortlessly.

dammmmmmmnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn :(((((((((
Why u gotta make me get so sad like that
Yeah it's like that amazing emotional trigger... does the same to me.
It was hauntingly beautifil.
Chesters original words were fear is powerful but he changed it after his manager wrote it that way
The scariest thing in this video is that they both knew exactly what they were singing about...

It’s crazy how Chris Cornell’s voice can transfer over to Nu Metal so nicely. Chester had a phenomenal voice yet Cornell still did that song justice.
Chris is probably the best thing ever happened to music ...hail grunge
This isn't 'nu metal'... compare this song with stuff like KoRn, System Of A Down or Deftones- does it honestly sound the same to you?

The love and respect they felt for each other is so evident. I love this.
Until now, I'd been avoiding Chester Bennington videos since the news of his death. It's just too much to take in. This was beautiful. Two amazing people are gone but not forgotten.
Indeed it is beautiful...kinda like they had a soul pact.
Kem Alimole I've been doing the same I can't take it😣
I guess I've been the opposite, taking them all in trying all I can, but, yeah, I know exactly what you mean.
Kem Alimole I did the same..
I went from binging on Linkin Park videos to avoiding them to binging again. I did the same with Soundgarden and Audioslave when Chris Cornell passed.
This legendary performance will hold a place even closer to my heart now rip Chester join Chris in heaven you beautiful angels
John Dodd
so sad!!
John Dodd They are now performing before our Creator. Their music will live on. 💜💜
I'm NUMB to this shit.
They'll have all the coke and heroin they'll ever want up there. RIP
Seconded. Had anxiety disorder my whole life and on/off depression. Seriously fuck mental health disorders.
What incredible voices and harmonies. just found this video and am so moved. The world has lost two of the best voices. RIP.
You two left a mark on life....I love you for that.....❤
"He's got the fuckin' most beautiful voice in rock and roll, man"
Something I've always loved about Linkin Park, specially Chester, is their humbleness. What a wonderful and solemn thing to say.
+SnowAndReef I know. But to be real, they both have beautiful voices.
Good minds think alike; humble attracts humble.
chester speaks the truth =) I have mad respect for the real musicians
Chris never attempted to take the lights off Chester. That's a true professional
They were really good close friends, he had no reason to.
He never did no matter who he shared the stage with! nothing but respect for fellow artists!
They both died for the same reason ! Save the kids !
Preach !! So true , two beautiful souls who get to sing with each other for entirety❤️❤️❤️❤️
True, we can hear the range of his voice, but he stay in the background so chester can shine.
This video is such a treasure, we will never forget Chester and Chris, always living in our memories
It's 2020 now. I am back here again. Still crying while watching this, still not over it. It breaks my heart every time yet it is still the most beautiful performance ever. I miss both very much
2023 now...
Come back and watch again i cant do it alone 😭😭😭

The moment they started singing together my tears just rolled rest in peace Chris and Chester 😢 the pain is real 😭😭😭

Grazia Assumi I'm right there with you I love
You all. No hate, love you all.
they're both murdered??
VERY RARE この世の救世主 Chris died on May 18th
The way Chris does the jump... 'I've felt this way before, so INSECUUUUURE'. I mean, he's just walking, it's like he doesn't even realize he's going to jump five notes in less a second.
I thought the same. It's fucking amazing!
He's looks like he's taking it about as seriously as singing along with the radio but... BOOM. Note perfect.
That's Chris for you..doesn't even blink
Ikr... and he really made it sound like Soundgarden/Audioslave with the way he did it too...
Some Damn Author Huh? he didn't really jump 5 notes. whoever this guy is he's a really bad singer.
For the past 10 years I've been coming to this masterpiece every once in a while.
RIP Chris and Chester. Taken way too soon. Peace Out.
I saw Chris live 3 times with Soundgarden (for the reunion tour) and 2 times solo and also Chester live with LP maybe 2 or 3 month before his death, just one fucking year away from Cornell's one :-(. 2 of my favourite singers and Artists. 2 great voices that went away but are still there with us everyday.
Keep safe and rocking friend and if you have time come check the new song I posted with R&O, would love your views on it : ua-cam.com/video/kXsua5jVNtQ/v-deo.html
I just came across this by accident.
Wow. I need more accidents like this.
me tooo!! 😱
nickmcp71 Yes you do Sir!
Fact: Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred into other forms. The energy from Chester and Chris' voices are still travelling somewhere on this Earth.
Sean C the energy created during the duo singing and especially at 3:50 hard to forget!
great!
I'm FUCKING crying
Sean C well said.
Sean well said
Not sure what either of these two men were going through, but when you hear this song it just gives you chills. Two amazingly talented people with everything and yet they were still fighting Demons. Life can be crazy. Miss them both
I cry every time I watch this. But I can’t stop watching it. It’s a monthly ritual for me. Please never delete it
And here i am in 2020. And I will also be here in 2030 and after listening to this hidden gem in the history of mankind's music.
😭😭😭😭😭😭
Amen brother
Life is blowing by. 2030 will be here in no time and we will all be reading this wondering where the time went just like we do now with 2010. Enjoy the ride. It end before you know it.
It really is a hidden gem right, crazy
See you all in 10 years. 🤟🏼
This is sick!!! Those people witnessed something special that night
Justin Raymundo , Projekt Revolution @ Alpine Valley. I was there, still can't believe they're gone.
Justin Raymundo some other worldly shit
But never knew what hit them. :'(
Justin Quarters I was at Projekt Revolution. Didn't see Chris. This is an amazing video.
Justin Raymundo yes. That was like music history. So fucking awesome. ☮️
The two best vocals of their era rest in peace brother peace out
2 beautiful souls , who will always be in my heart ❤️!! I believe they're in a beautiful place!! SINGING and flying free without the weight!!
My heart is broken, twice...
Yellow Pikachu , you said that so beautifully. I feel that way about Chris Cornell. And seeing the two so close... it just makes my heart shatter.
Amen Yellow Pikachu, sitting here crying rn.
You made me cry
Lost a good friend today to cancer. Listening because Chris and Chester were two of his favorite singers.
Our hearts break for your loss
It’s been years, but I have to thank you yet again for sending me these audio files years ago. I still come back to the video at least once a week. Ever thankful you’ve managed to preserve such an amazing performance
The owner of this channel had no idea what he was uploading...this is more than gold

I hear this, and get a lump in my throat. Two amazing voices silenced forever. Thank you for recording and uploading this!
Life is harsh. RIP Angels.
Eerie..2 amazing singers that had depression and died by suicide..and the song they are singing is about depression and they died within a couple months of each other
Chester killed himself on Chris birthday! They were good friends and popped up at each other shows and would perform together.
just so it's easier to explain in the future the differe note/pitch is called a harmony.
Seeing these two legends perform together is almost too much awesomeness to handle. But seeing it now is also very sad knowing how they both ended. :(
@@torstenscholz6243 when Chester turns after hearing Chris cornell voice. Thats a moment ... rip
CAPS UNO I know how it feels
CAPS UNO same here...
Those were the good old days. Would do anything to have those simpler times back.
CAPS UNO I feel ya man. He may be gone but his music lives on
CAPS UNO dude i was like you.
My heart is broken that we no longer have these awesome men anymore. Ty for this video!!!
Not Always P C I'm crying...RIP
Very true.
Not Always P C there is no help... you can reach out to talk about what's bothering you.. but in the end it's up to you.. if you're gonna try to get through it... they chose to end their lives... selfish but it was their choice.
Not Always P C truth
They may be gone, but they're talent lives forever. Not just on the record, but in the hearts and minds of everyone they touched. It's up to us now not to let their contributions fade
wow!!! I never felt this happy in a long time.i wish this song with two of the greats would go on forever.im greatful to the one that recorded it.thanks.rip Chester and Chris you've breathed life into my life .
One of the best clips ever, will keep coming back! day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year.
RIP Chester & Chris
I bet you guys make Heave a great place!
Wow, that's crazy :/ may they both rest in peace
what is dead may never die. valar dohaeris
This year took two of the best. Forever heartbroken by this 💔

Ladies and Gentleman, we are witnessing Two Angels on Earth.
Matthew Hohenbery you are so right very solid comment!!!!
I totally agree with u on that. Heavenly voices. Two of the most talented musicians that ever lived.. amazing listening to them sing together... It gave me goose bumps and tears in my eyes the first time I saw this video after they both passed. I would have given a kidney to see them both together lol
Julie Hooper totally agree with you a true loss to the music world I get goose bumps every time to this day ✊
Amen to that brother
This music keeps me from ptsd and anxious feelings. Like I have before.... ptsd is real and so is suicidal thoughts and actions
I watch this every now and then and i sing along and maybe cry a little. Please don't remove this video ever. It's such a happy/sad place for me
It’s so hard to believe they’re both gone
The world keeps on getting darker :(
It's up to us to keep it bright ;)
jf - Youre so right x
At 3:12 when Cornell sang "Against my will I stand beside my own reflection," while shaking hands with Chester.
It's haunting. What a moment!
It's almost like they are shaking hands with Death himself. Like they both knew that the end is coming. You are right. What a moment indeed!
I'm honestly speechless..
Speechless.
....Except that this was posted in 2008, almost 9 years before their deaths.
THIS IS SO HARD TO WATCH rip these legends
I feel u
Emily Tooke that look of happiness on Chester's face when he sees Chris on stage ....... no words rip Chester rip Chris
Emily Tooke yep i'm crying right now fml
blah blah blah
Daniel Robinson what'd wrong with you!
There's something about Chris Cornell's voice that sounded so reassuring and comforting. Love and miss both of these men
MeytalHead Exactly.
RIP.
I revisit this video from time to time. Two of the most beautiful voices.❤😢
Mike Shinoda gave me chills, Chester vocals had me melting and I just exploded when Chris Cornell came in. Linkin Park, you have my heart.
For real this is legendary still in 2022
No disrespect, but Mike Shenoda is a POS! He was so jealous of Chester!
@@slimlynn6085 100%. I'm convinced he helped kill Chester. 😢
?
Mike Shinoda is Crap!!
When Chris repeats the sub-chorus "there's something isnside me.." and Chester sings over it, THE CHILLS encapsulated
Stunning. I wish I could have seen Chester's face too but he was drawing strength from Chris no doubt. Forever in harmony.❤
Got to see this live in my early 20’s. So great. Both of these guys. RIP
Fucking Chris Cornell... Always giving me the goose bumps
You and me both man. Hearing him sing gives me chills. A powerful but haunting voice. One of the only few that could match that was Layne Staley and he's sadly dead. if only we could seen a Chris Cornell and Layne Staley collab, that would have been epic.
Ricardo And now Chris is too. Fuckin ironic you said that. Unfortunately. RIP Chris. You were a legend. You'll always be remembered
RIP

R.I.P. Chris. The fucking most beautiful voice in rock n roll. We'll love you for all eternity.

R.I.P. Chester

Grazielle Rondino Chester is dead I can't believe it.
This gives me goosebumps every single time... so thankful this moment was captured
I can't believe it's been 6 years since we lost Chester. And so long since we lost Chris. Music took a huge hit when they left us.
The day music died 😢
😢
RIP Chester Bennington & Chris Cornell T_T
Against my will I stand beside my own reflection... and they greeted each other.
Sad premonition
Damn.
It's because they were getting ready to expose the full story of what we only know from Epstein..
@Ned Kelly suicided. They didn't commit suicide. They were about to expose child sex trafficking. The powers that SHOULDN'T be are child molesters, pedophiles. Sick disgusting monsters are what they are.
How disgusting that people that using the sad history of that friends to spread a senseless conspiracy storie with political proposes and ends.

3:02 unexpected moments I ever seen I like how Chris Cornell sings and surprises Chester to harmonize the last chorus.
This is such a killer intro.
"Shinoda spits that shit (raps) as well as anybody."
The music is from krwling fro, their re animation cd, words are obviously from hands held high(for those who don't know)
you said killer?
Comment was 11 months ago Joao Antonio Sousa - pretty sure TheNewAmericanMedia was referring to the music, nothing else.
TheNewAmericanMedia It was so fucking dope
This is some intense shit. They harmonize perfectly well together. CHESTER my heart is with you man. My heart aches so bad when I hear you talk about that dark neighbourhood between your ears...
Chester and LP got me through a really really dark time in my life.
So incredibly sad that what he unknowingly helped me with....eventually he succumbed to.
Miss both of these incredible talents.
Such a loss...2 outstandingly gifted singers. We will eternally miss their talent & song music....Our Loss, heavens gain.
