Good seeds: Chia, Flax, Pumpkin, Hemp. Bad seeds: Apple, (I've jucied whole apples, seeds and all) Tomato (I've eaten those seeds too) Poppy, (never had a problem) Cherry, (never ate those seeds).
"Fantastic video! I appreciate the clear differentiation between the ‘good’ and ‘bad’ seeds. Chia and flax seeds are staples in my smoothies, but I never realized how important it is to avoid chewing apple or cherry seeds. Great tips on how to safely enjoy the nutritional benefits of seeds!
This video is a must-watch for anyone looking to improve their diet with seeds! I love how it highlights chia, flax, pumpkin, and hemp seeds as nutritional powerhouses, detailing their benefits for heart health, digestion, and inflammation. The explanations about Omega-3s, lignans, and protein were incredibly clear and helpful. On the flip side, I appreciate the warning about potentially harmful seeds like apple and cherry seeds due to their cyanide content. It’s great to have such a balanced, informative guide!
Sesame seeds? Or sunflower seeds? Both of these have a good name for their benefits….. so it Would have been nice if these were included in this video. Otherwise, well done. Thank you! ps: poppy seed paste is used in many south Asian dishes. Have grown up eating such dishes with NO negative effects. Maybe making them into a paste brings some sort of transformation/ processing which helps in digesting poppy seed paste as compared to the seeds intact.
"This video is incredibly informative! I had no idea that certain seeds, like apple and cherry seeds, could pose serious health risks if consumed improperly. On the other hand, learning about the health benefits of chia, flax, and pumpkin seeds has inspired me to incorporate them into my diet more regularly. Great breakdown of which seeds are safe and which ones to avoid!"
Eat the whole apple, good bacteria for gut health is quite normal. A few seeds wont hurt. Potatoes contain arsenic, sunlight is carcinogenic as is alcohol. The world is a dangerous place.
He needs to check the dada on the amygdalin. I learned that the amygdalin only releases the cyanide when it comes in contact with the enzymes on the outside of a cancer cell. The cyanide is instantly released and the cell is destroyed.
It's the tomato "shell" (skin) and the seeds that CONTAIN the lectins. That should have been mentioned. In fact, pumpkin seeds also contain lectins, just fyi.
Lemon poppyseed cake or muffins are a FAVORITE of many!!! Just do not consume poppyseeds before getting drug tested for an employment office...(or for any other reason) because poppyseed consumption can INDEED create a "positive" result on a drug test ..😯
I'm here because of popy seeds, love them in lemon cupcakes or in bread, but had no idea...at least now I know a drug test could fail, of course I'd soon be more accountable for cannabis than high poppy seed consumption.
Just b/c you don’t have a problem doesn’t mean you will not over time. I know people who have smoked for 30 years, and not have heart disease lung cancer or any respiratory issues.
Small amounts are the answer. Any foods can harm some people, some of the time. Supposedly, only Americans need to be told not to eat too much. Moderation is the key. That way you might even survive…..stupid scarifying video.
