Any show with Dive on the set list is a good show
The version of "Dive" recorded In Spring '89 - Chorus Rehearsal & Audio Studio, The Evergreen State College, Olympia, WA (which is on the With the Lights out Boxset) / First live version May 26, 1989 - Lindbloom Student Center, Green River Community College, Auburn, WA (and a few shows on Nirvana's Bleach USA Tour June/July 1989) with Jason Everman on Second guitar or the Last Live version from October 31, 1993 - James A. Rhodes Arena, University of Akron, Akron, OH with Pat Smear on second guitar.
So I guess my question is who played second guitar better on "Dive" was it Jason Everman or Pat Smear?
Dive and Scoff
I love Dive!!
Great upgrade on the older version. Love when you ad photos from the show in the video RareNirvana! Great upload again!
Ikr such a great channel for weird nirvana demos
1990 is a great year for Nirvana concerts!
@@Tomnedreb agreed.
Amazing how much stuff just keeps surfacing
kurt smashed the epiphone et270 8 days later. it sounds pretty good here; the modest 9k pickups are an interesting contrast to the higher output pickups he was known to use in his univoxes and fenders
That's probably the best version of Big Cheese I've heard.
I like how Chad starts of too fast but roughly halfway through he slows down to the right tempo.
Kurt is a genius song writer 👍
Ffffuuuuuuccccckkkkk
That version of Dive...YEEESSSSS
This is the best Chad show I've heard.
Damn this type of casette bring back so much memories ahaha Thanks for the Maxell 90 flash back xD
I must still have some with teenager demo in box rotting somewhere ahaha
Ps : I really don't understand what bothered Kurt with Chad druming, He really had a good feel for drumming to be upset
Makes me wonder if chad came up with the drum part ? or maybe Kurt had a very clear idea let's say the drums of Pay to play ? mmm
Yes after earing the full show it wasn't a good night for him but the cymbale you're talking about if you go back to the Rajis bootleg they were part of the enjoyment...
Also you're talking about Dave grohl but at that time Kurt wouldnt know to get frustrated... It's not like Chad was a replacement as far as we know he came up with those parts
Or maybe it was Kurt that told him what to do in rehearsal? Mmmm
Chad didn't always keep perfect time. That's why Kurt sometimes got angry with him. It happened more and more by the end of his tenure with Nirvana, and Chad hasn't even admitted in hindsight he was starting to lose his passion from drumming around this time. Thankfully, he later got it back, as he's played in other bands besides Nirvana over the years.
These early Nirvana shows were the best! Thank you for sharing~ 🎸🎶
FYI: Man Ray was a tiny club across the street from the Middle East Club where ppl dressed in bdsm types of clothes.
This was a great show!
The sound quality is amazing!! Thanks for uploading this great concert!
Oh yeah, this is how the world of a Nirvana fan looked like in the pre-UA-cam world... i have had at least 15 different Nirvana concerts, recorded on audio cassettes... Kazaa and Emule came few years later. There surfaced only audio cuts on the Nirvanaclub site. But as a teenager i did not have internet at my house...so i was downloading these songs in High school. These cassettes were "my precious".
Great upgrade!!!! - Thank you so much RareNirvana :)
It's so great i love it
Amazing!!!
these sound so good!
Great upload! Thank you very much!!!
Thanks 🖤
awesomenessssssssss over 1000!!
Awesome!
Nice
Floyd the Barber always kicks ass
Like a Virgin fits into Kurt’s writing style. If they had done an impromptu version of like a virgin!!
Kurt screaming like a virgin!!!
"Cheese and Drums" - lol, is that a REVIEW on the cassette label?!
Negative Crêpe
You're on a roll, like the DJ Khaled of rare and live Nirvana (to steal a joke from Dave Chapelle)...."and another one" lol
Muito bom 🖤 Sexto Comentário 🤘🏽
Chad wasn t kicked out of Nirvana because of his supposedly bad drumming: just listen to his beats, that can t be the reason.
He was outsted because he wanted to contribute to the songwritting [he wrote good songs in his next bands], but Kurt wanted to keep the sole control in the "creative process" of Nirvana.
He sounds awesome here.
I record with cassets but how do you get it that clear without it being distorted maybe theirs something I don't know
Having the right equipment, mic placement, correct recording volume, distance from the band etc all play into it.
@@anno0001 cool thx lol
@@OrangeYTT dude its just for the experience
Scoff
One of the last shows with Chad, I think
sounds like something happened to chad's ride cymbal during floyd the barber.
Why ads after every song tho?
🤟💀🥀🏴☠️💘
Cassetes used to sound better than cd's or even LP's
Imagine how good this would have sounded in the room.
