Hi. That happened to me in real life when I was about 14 and someone was breaking into the house through my bedroom window. I saw the shadow of a man wearing a hat taking the screen out of the window. I tried shouting for my Mom, but it was really just raspy air. Apparently my little sister woke up and screamed and the man ran away. My step dad ran out the front door to try to find him, but he was never found.
It happened to me again in 2013 during a fire. The stress and anxiety just shut down my voicebox. When Emergency Services came they kept asking if I needed assistance and I kept saying no, that I just had no voice.
      I’m weird I guess.

Even if it was a 100 percent accident that the child was locked in the car, why does the Defendant feel she's not responsible to pay for the window? She should also pay for the dummy keys, as the sole reason for them is to avoid HER children from being locked in the car again. I remember one day in a library when a mother gave her keys to an 18-month-old to play with, and the kid set them on a shelf somewhere. "Abigail! Where are the keys?" What was the kid supposed to say, "In 808.02's"? The mother had to go up and down all the aisles till she found them.

The part where he said, 'I told her you are going to have to pay me for this', immediately after it happened doesn't make sense. The main concern is for the kids at that point. And how could the child have been passed out already when they just got there?

I was crying asking them to break the window cause I couldn’t watch my baby inside the car even though the AC was on, I still couldn’t risk it. At the end they had to break the window! Luckily my baby came out unharmed but she was now crying so much! 😢😢 that was the worst day of my life.

How about it was just an accident.
I will admit I left our child in the car seat of our car for about 5 minutes. I had to bring a bunch of things in the house and left her in the car sleeping. I brought everything in and said whoops. Brought the baby in finally. 👀👀
My wife locked our 6 month old daughter in her car during the summer and it was 118 degrees outside.
Her purse and phone were also in the car.
      Our daughter was asleep.
Our neighbor was home and she called me. I calmed my wife down and called the fire dept. The fire dept was at the house in 10 minutes to unlock the car. Our daughter got a stuffed animal from the fire dept.
My wife was upset about that for a damn month.
I finally had to say will you give yourself a break. It was an accident. Our child was asleep the entire time. 👍🏾
We were doing laundry one time, I was sitting on the bed and heard the dryer buzzer go off. I emptied the dryer and carried the clothes back to our bedroom. Just as I was about to throw the clothes on the bed, I saw some little legs on the bed and barely managed to not throw the clothes on her. Lol 😂😂
I yelled out WTH. Don't be sneaking her onto our bed like that. She was about to be a missing person. 👀👀👀

If it was a genuine accident, which does happen, there's nothing the cops can do. A child has to be in a hot car for more than a certain time before it's considered a crime. The grace period to distinguish between an accident and intentionally is usually 5 minutes.
