It wouldn't make ANY sense for an experienced seamstress to risk their business by allowing a fitting of a ripped dress. I've ripped brand new clothes after trying them in a fitting room, I still paid for the damaged clothes. This woman just needs to admit that she wasn't being as gentle as she had thought, it happens to everyone 🤷🏻♀️
If she saw it was torn on the seams, then why put it on and risk tearing it even more? Sounds kind of dumb. Still had 5 months before wedding. Could have been more patient.
Someone who is so upset because they see rips on their custom made wedding dress before putting it on wouldn’t put it on, they’d go straight to the staff and ask for it to be fixed 🙄
My wedding and reception dress totaled $500 (married 6 years now). I went to a seamstress who sold wedding dresses and she included the alterations. I had one small little snag/tear and remember how everyone stopped thinking i was going to bridezilla over it, i looked at it and said "who's going to see that? I'm getting married"
My mum & dad had their wedding reception at our house. The music was played on a record player. It was the 80s. The person in charge if getting ice for the alcohol & champaign for the toasts bought one bag of ice that was meant to fill up the bathtub lol. My mum & dad laughed about it for the rest of their years together (my dad passed in 2010). Also, my mum made her own bouquet and also the bridesmaid's bouquets. She also made her own head piece and used hot glue to glue artificial flowers on a halo type head piece. She looks absolutely stunning in the photos. I remember bits and pieces of the day as I was 5 years old.
It's not the designer's fault that you became a chunky-butt after your original measurements and couldn't fit into the dress YOU ordered 6 months prior. 🤣😂😅
I found it a little bit iffy that she saw the rips BEFORE putting it on and didn't say anything to anyone other than her mother. It is a COSTUME MADE dress that should be perfect out of the box..... is not a loose button she is talking about. Also, there is no way I am trying on a defective gown and have them doubt if maybe my body ripped it off.
I don't really blame her. The older you get, more of your relationship is defined by SO many things that aren't the wedding itself. Don't get me wrong; every bride deserves to enjoy her wedding. But don't act like your life is ruined because something went wrong that day. You, ideally, are sharing the rest of your life with someone you love.
Probably because he wasn’t in the store with the bride and mom. You should try to keep only parties who are witnesses/were there at event. But if you have another idea, what are they? Because if there is a new scam going on with wedding dresses, ooooo I would love to know :)
The dress is really such a small part of the overall experience of the day I would think that the Joy of the day should overshadow any inconveniences endured just saying 🤔

I seen that today.. the replacement was in and ready at least 3 months before the wedding.. and to often the wedding dress needs last minute alterations just before the wedding. The bride usually gains plenty of weight or drop alot..my sister had 2 weeks to prepare for her wedding..she bought a year before hoop wedding dress that came with the veil.and gater and the hoop itself It was perfect size for her my mom put tlc in cooking the entire reception meal for 200 people.. the brides maids and maid of honor hit a huge sale at montgomery wards .my mom made the pillow for the ring barior ot wasvso beautiful not cheap looking like the ones in the bridal shops a family friend did a 5 teir cake as a gift. My aunt found a new band to play at the reception .that sounded just like the EAGLES and thats a good band.. her wedding was last minute if something wasnt going right she didnt do a piss fit like this bride everyone had a great time.. the best part was all the women in my family ..my mom my grandma the bride and my other sister.my favorite aunt and a close friend worked to gether making it beautiful.. i despise big weddings to the max.. to many brides complaing on stuff that wasnt up to their standards..also a newly starting photographer did the pictures...appriciate any good effort instead of complaining all the time..if i was a man and about to marry a lovely gal..and she acts like this or worse.. i would get the ring back and run from the hills away from her its not how perfect it looks its accepting flaws and create a good type of perfect
If I had to bet, she was probably planning to lose a couple of pounds pre-wedding to be able to fit into that lace dress. Then when fitting came around and she hadn’t, she accidentally damaged it when trying it on. Very normal and happens to a lot of people. I’ve been guilty of doing similar things.
The bride obviously ripped the dress trying to get it over HER HIPS. She should have put it on over her head, that's how most bridal and couture dresses are meant to be put on. However, most women step into the dress and pull it up. Fitted dresses will rip at the side seams if put on in that manner. She said she went into the dressing room to try it on and came out to show the person that accompanied her and the associate. If she was by herself, she definitely stepped into the dress, as her makeup would have gotten on the dress if she tried to pull it down over her head. Common sense, she damaged the dress herself.
Brides a liar. As a bride if your dress comes ripped no way are you trying it on without pitching a fit to the manager first. I would not if even tried it on. She ripped the dress herself by pulling it up. It was very snug on her from what the picture showed. Keep her money.
What does the tags and designer bag have to do with anything as something to complain about? She seems like a bridezilla for sure. Couple spots ripped isnt good but isnt so bad that you need a whole new dress..
Who would think of that? She didn't take the dress and had to buy another. So clearly that wasn't her plan. How can anyone arrange for a dress to rip slowly over a day? 😂😂😂😂
I can tell before the third minute mark that the plaintiff is full of shit. If you ordered a custom wedding dress and when you took it off the hanger before trying it on you noticed it was ripped on both sides you would be raising holy hell with the sales person........ She wouldn't have been so excited and just tried it on anyway. Absolutely ridiculous that she thinks anyone is going to believe that lie.

@@smokeyambiancedoesn’t not make sense to me either there we where three specifics spots would that make any difference.
Why wouldn’t she let them fix it? Her reaction seems stupid. Why would you demand a whole new dress instead of having them fix the holes.
I would never try on something torn for fear of being blamed, so with an expensive gown I would be hell no way.
Because her dress wasn’t torn before she tried it. She’s lying.
The areas where she claimed the rips were, are exactly the places one would rip if they tried it on and was too big for it
👀

Simply put she gained a little bit or a little more than a little bit of weight during the 6 months her dress was prepared😅
When JJ said, she was unsympathetic with this bride, i came straight to the comments.
The gown looks waaaay better on the mannequin.
it does, plaintiff's body is a bit chubby

Exactly

Bridezilla cases are the worst. They're never happy.
She's very materialistic
Which is a shame because she is gorgeous
I wore a pink dress I had in my closet and we got hitched at the court house...celebrating 35 years married this summer! No wedding drama lol
Whose fault was it that the bride gained 12 lbs during the 6 month wait period and ripped the dress on her first try? 😂
If it was ripped before you put it on, you should have said something right away and not tried it on.
When you call it a GOWN you already know BRIDEZILLA IS THERE IN LIVING COLOR
My dress was $50, fit beautifully and i enjoyed my wedding day.
I got my dress off the clearance rack at the bridal shop. The dress is preserved in a box, long after the husband is gone. Lol

Such a scam. The dress was fine.
