AT&T fiber is great HOWEVER.. ALWAYS PUT THEIR MODEM IN BRIDGE MODE and use your own router!!! YOU DO NOT WANT AT&T CONTROLLING YOUR ROUTING AND POTENTIALLY HAVING ACCESS TO YOUR NAT DEVICES!!!!!
Sure use your own. That’s great. Just remember for those who use your own third party router. Make sure you know how to use it. If you have it and it stops working and you call att. THEY WILL BILL YOU! So educate your self and don’t just “call” when you have troubles. Figure it out. Did one of the kids unplug it needing a power supply. Or you unplugged it for the vacuum.
@@All_around_dadwell yeah but i'm not talking mom and pop that don't even know what NAT is or what a ROUTER specifically is used for... I'm talking you and me... SO DO YOUR OWN ROUTING. again if you use their router they potentially can access anything on the network using a betbios sniffer and \\PCNAME\C$
