Agree Phil I’ve tried the WRX and liked it also Bedec water based both very similar in coverage and finish .. Bought WRX from Amazon. Really enjoy the videos very informative..
Hi Phil Love the channel and content its great watching. Have you ever used sayerlack or renner Coatings, I think you would love them they have excellent opacity and seriously quick drying times in temperature above 15 degrees, if you denib between coats with 240 or 320 you can get a beautiful smooth silky finish. Might be a interesting test on the green door 👍🏻
Thanks for commenting Not yet! Are they 2k products though? I like to keep it simple, 2pac spraying isn't ideal in private houses and I don't have a spray booth either. Hence why I keep to the waterbased products, which give great results too. If sayerlack or renner want to reach out... I may give them a try ;) #renner #sayerlack
Hi Phil I enjoy your videos thank you for sharing Just wondered if you’ve tried using a paint conditioner with your trim paints I would be interested to hear what you think.
Thanks for the video 📹 👍good stuff 3 coats. Like u say giving it more time between coats will improve it. I'll defo try this acrylic wrx Be good to see it being used in a sprayer 👍 Not sure if you've covered this paint, fusion it's called goes over anything. I've just revamped a faded leather chair with it. Looks amazing. like brand new and very durable. Defo recommend it
@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator came across it in a coffee shop, gift shop. But it's on ebay. I think it's an American company. There's some tutorials on UA-cam showing you the different uses for it.
Absolutely brilliant video again Phil, did you de nib the door mate and also I think the door would come out brilliant spraying it brilliant product going to get some on order mate well done
Yes I did, I've a worn sanding pad I whiz over the door, just to add a bit of a key.. and a quick dust down, or wipe over with a soft microfiber cloth. It does spray fine... That's another video in a few weeks using a £40 sprayer!!!
@@johnslaw7967 yes. Give a good sand to get a key, dust off etc. Two/three coats depends on what colour. They do a primer/Uc as well you can use if you want to get a good build up on a surface.
its great knowing these paints are good and knowing what paints are good but getting its persuading people to expect them in the price people are tighter than tight tighty thing especially on exterior's people expecting it to last 100 years with 30 quid a gallon standard water gloss and without priming too just want to be left to do my job properly im talking about people who have got £80k electric 4by4 in their drive too
Great point! your customer wont't know the price of materials. You give them the price for the whole job.. martials and labour are a combined price. That way you will be spec'ing the job for the paint you're wanting to use. Lets be honest.. theres not that much difference in price on paint materials on a domestic job.... £50 a can on Jonos' or £85 for F&B what's £70 extra for two 5ltr cans when labour will be a lot more?

Haven’t used a metal paint kettle since 1986 , use plastic ones then peel it out , then you got a new paint kettle 👍😮

@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator they are waterborne polyurethane not solvent, they can be used straight out of the tin brush or spray applied.👍🏻

I haven't done and not felt the need TBH.
Thank you good to know
great video phil. out of interest which brush would you recommend between the hamilton brush and the wickes brush you mention in other videos
nothing in it... very very similar. both are fine to use, you wouldn't be dissapointed with either for the money.
I've just been out to the garage to compare for you.. the hamilton does feel a softer bristle , they are the same length though.
You can get it from Topdec in Hemel Hempstead 👍
Do you think you would get good results with a roller Phil ?
Hi. You need to watch the flat renovation video where I do the woodwork with WRX eggshell, I use a roller on that.
Great video again big boy Phil 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Hi Phil just rewatched the video and it says on tin wall paint and on the WRX video the guy is rollering the walls with it🤔
Yes. You can use it for that too.

Waiting for my delivery of the satinwood to try for the first time. Can order through B&Qs if anyone’s struggling to find it
YOu'll like that too. di dyou see my vid on it a few weeks back?
A splash of water may help if you struggle with putting it on.
@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator
I did mate thanks. 1 Coat of bullseye then I’ll give it 2 satins and see how it goes. Pretty cheap too £30 for 2.5l
It's in WRX shop eBay buy 3 x 5 l works out £40 Inc vat that's cheap free postage.
what were you going over that you needed 123 on first?
@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator
Few dirty marks that didn’t clean off. I find using that first followed by 2 top coats works well

Phil, give this a go. It's a nice drop ;) a flatter finish than the satinwood, but looks quality when dry.
It's on my hitlist, I also want to give the Bedec a try.
