As a professional painter and owner of a painting company I can say I laughed at every hack in this video. Not one thing in this video is something painters do.
Yea but he's a professional finger wagger
Yes, as the son of a gun, these hacks are total amateur hour. Any pro that cannot cut in is not worth it.
True but such videos gets lots of views and views = $$$$$$
I concur. Hilarious!
Agree! At least they’re worth a chuckle! 😂 The first rule of cutting-in is…you don’t cut-in with the brush, you cut-in with the paint. (For those who don’t understand that statement it means that you let the paint flow about 1/8 of an inch off the bristles to the cut-in line)
Trust me folks. Professional painters hide none of these things from you. Mostly because we don't use them. All you need is a high quality brush (the right one for the right job), and practice. Gimmicks are more trouble than they are worth.
Tweakers up all night again :)
I hate painting but love the edging I’m great at it. Like you said all in the brush .
@@belle190 It's called "cutting in".
Professional painter with 20+ years experience here. While I do commend these “hacks” for inventiveness, and maybe worth doing if your supplies are limited (like trimming a chip brush to be an angled brush, or improvising an extension pole) these are not tricks I have ever used (or seen used) on a job. I guess tin foil would work in a pinch if you didn’t have any cutting skills or tape, and you were masking out a large area to be sprayed….but really, if one just practices cutting in with a 2-2.5” angled brush for a while, your jobs will get much easier. It’s not knowledge you’re born with, anyone can get at least decent at cutting in with some practice.
Here’s a Pro Tip for the viewers at home for cleaning brushes: try to keep your brush from drying out. Wrap it in plastic or a wet rag if you don’t have a bucket of water (or solvent) to swish it in. When you are ready to clean it at the end of a job, use dish soap and a wire brush to work out all the paint. As long as the paint didn’t dry up inside the brush, you should be able to get most of it out, extending the life of your brush.
Here ends the lesson. 😎👌
one year in and i can cut a very straight line. every single time
My favorite painting trick is throwing out the brushes after each use.
Mines the disappearing of paint from a can when the boss leaves in the summer....dig a hole n pour..Hey boss where outta paint calling it a day😂
me too 😂😂
LOL
All and any tips for all projects can be taken or not taken...
Tips have helped me many times over the years. Ty
Just take the outlet off the wall - don't wrap electrically conducting material around it :(
To be fair, that looks like a low-voltage volume control, not an outlet.
Or, just use blue painters tap.
masking tape??
I thought that one was actually pretty decent. There are alot of raised, oddly shaped surfaces that I can see folding foil around easier to apply (and remove) than tape.
@@kano8 Tape is also cheaper than foil.
Stick in the roller is brilliant! For 8 years I could not guess such a simple solution))
That’s why all rollers handles have threads at the bottom of handles. To add a stick, some short, some long.
It has never been a secret, trick or so called hacks nowadays.
The only trick I can tell you if you need your whole house painted outside, $6k-9k costs nowadays.
You can paint yourself at $400-800 total costs including materials.
3 to 5 days of your life will save you $281 an hour @$9k painter job.
That’s an equivalent of $380 an hour before taxes if you make yourself that at your job.
Thx a lot 4 ur efforts, painting tapes and roller sticks might have been around 4 some time though
Any painter who is any good does not need any of these ideas. Never seen a professional need anything except his brushes
...and a rag, lol
@@ggggloveking9419 lots of rags 🤣🤣
Totally agree, hilarious ideas
You know that those switch plates just pop off right 😂
As an amateur painter, I found myself not laughing at the tips, but the way you made the video, it's great! I still tape to get those nice lines, but the coke bottle over the can, I'm definitely going to try it.
I used the silicone and denatured alcohol trick once, it actually worked!
What a load of bull this is. As a time served decorator, I can confirm painters and decorators don't do the crap in this video.
Thanks. This trics will useful to me,when I paint home.
Very nice and beautiful
Kreatif dan menginspirasi. Salam satu hobi sukses selalu menyertai
If you are a real professional you don’t need these tricks
Any brush you ave could do the job as well
When I paint around a doorway frame, a window frame or a thermostat box etc. I always tap the tips of the brush bristles over the section I just painted so to hide the lines or streaks that you can get in an area that is painted with long strokes. When you lightly tap the tips of the brush over those long paint strokes it breaks the paint lines up and blends that area's surface into the wall. 👍
Wow!! Quick awesome tips!! 🤯
Fun tips! Those brushes are pretty rough though 😬. A good brush and the right masking tape for the job will set you up for success.
The right tools for the right job
Til the paint goes underneath the tape,..learn to cut with a purdy angle brush
Use painter's tape.
Terima kasih sudah berbagi ilmunya kawan..
Süper bilgiler👏👍👌
There are some really good ideas demonstrated here and I can’t wait to try them out when I paint the interior of my house next month. Thanks for for this helpful info. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
ustam ellerine sağlık harika olmuş :)
When he shaved the paintbrush with the hair clippers that shit was hilarious
Excellent !👍
Everything except the pole was harder work
Brushes I have seen come already shaped. Rollers are sold with extension poles. There are Fullels and pour spouts for various sized paint cans, Although the idea of a cap looks interesting.
THANKS YOU GOODNESS 🌟 DAPHNE COTTON ALWAYS 💜
oh you just save me so much money on 2 hacks. thank you... !
Thank you so much.
Thanks for sharing these great tips!👊🏼👍🏼🇳🇱
I'm also painter but ur trick is for beginners 😊😊😊
No! Those tricks are not for beginners, they are for morons.
There for people who want to get fired
@@thomasmorano7779 except for the foil one. That’s for people who want to die.
Professional painters do not do any of those so called tricks. I was a union painter for forty years….
Even WITH the brush cut at an angle it still looks bad 😅 he just didn't reach it all the way up to the ceiling, these hacks would take more time to execute than to just be skillful at painting
Get a proper paint brush set, not one in a discount store and you’ll never have to mask again 👍
The extension pole is very useful.
Excellent 👍🙏
Us Pro painters does not need tape, aluminum foil or any other "hacks".
Yep bro haha
yes we do.
@@qasmb1546 🤣🤣🤣
Let me guess, you're a painter and you must use tape, wear sandles, got a man bun, and wear black latex gloves so not to get paint on you freshly manicured fingernails.
@@ChrisC-fr8yu I use tape, don't wear sandles, don't have a man bun.
wear gloves.
Most importantly get a better finish in a quicker time than someone like you.
@@ChrisC-fr8yu And Fyi I'm not just a painter. I think that's why I'm open to tricks which make the job easier and quicker, i.e using tape.
Your type remind me of them old heads who swear they would never use a drill because "real builders don't use drills".
All die out in the end.
Use masking or painters tape for many applications..
I’ve been in construction since the’70’s and have never seen anyone use ANY of these “tips.”
its because theyre only available at some mental facility where people are retarded
Usar fita resolve também
God job bro very nice
Nice job.
GREAT!!! MAN
Gracias

Que sensacional, dicas maravilhosas.
Kitchen foil around an electrical socket or lightswitch??? There's a wonderful cheap invention called masking tape...
Removing that plastic cover before painting and putting it back after would take seconds, much faster than messing up with the foil, cheaper, and would guarantee better quality.
I can cut a around a switch plate without painting it.
wow man this video its like first walk on the mon or inwention of wheel
Wow, the painters tried so hard to hide these tricks. It's ridiculous
Thanks for sharing:) beautiful
You should have just took off the cover off switch, use painters tape for some edges, some turpentine or paint thinner would help clean the brushes better too.
I am not sure if this guy is trolling with the video or what. But they dont seem to know how painters do things.
Soap n warm water
Helpful video
Bravo😮
I dont know how i have ever coped, painting my house for 20 plus years without knowing these tips lol.. Ive been wasting time washing my brush by hand when i could have got my drill out and and found a screw to drill in to spin my brush for me. Why take 2 mins washing when this will take me 4 mins to set up lol.. And not to mention instead of not over loading my brush with paint i could just put a cup lid on my brush to catch and waste all my paint. Good job lol..
thank you
Good ideas
teknik ngecatnya sangat mantul, berbagai trik jitu
Secret?? Attaching a longer stick to a paint roller is a secret?? Or a hack?? This video is a complete fail!
Painters hide from you? Seriously like hiding the hair clipper from you? LoL or that you can use a broom handle on a roller? Cutting the tinfoil is something I never considered. I would just use painters tape. If I was using foil, I'd just use the already straight edge.
Painters hiding things? Oh the devils.
😂
Good work
Good!!
Pls demonstrating b4 to the on field
Excelente 👌
Maravilhoso parabéns
Use the side of the brush to cut in trim not the flat side of brush , steady hand and there is no need to wrap.
He can't paint,,,
Busquen rodillos antigoteo. Abrazo grande.
This has got to be the most hilarious post on You Tube history. best comedy I've seen in years. And to believe some people actually believe in this crap, amazing
Good job my friend 👍
In the first clip u can use tape instead
I want to buy that one inch black hair brush can any one tell from where to buy it..? 🤔
Im a professional painter and if i didnt have any tape i could see how aluminum foil could come in handy..Even tho i could see somebody using these ideas its all about the experience and the brush you use..even the paint .painters have been doing things a certain way and thats just how it is...But like i said if you were at home and didnt have access to certain materials then yea these hacks would work!!

There’s arguably more waste with paint sticking to the inside of the coke bottle than you get with a few drips down the tin
Amazing
No proper painter uses any of these as they don't do them 🤣🤣 use tape if u really have to, wash brush out in sink, and buy a proper angled brush if u can't cut in not that u need 1 ,

Very nice tricks. Can't hardly wait to paint my daughter's room pink as she requested, in our new house real soon!
No painter ever...
Or stick some bullfrog tape around the switch
