your videos have helped me so much. i mainly play WVW I went from being an easy gank target to winning multiple 1v2s today. I actually knew when to use my skills, how to react to certain things, and i even knew how to track enemy CD usage.
"3. Stop wasting time". Can be a trap for new players. So I want to add my own 4th advice. Gw2 has a minumum of 15 skills for each class, the first instinct is to use as many as possible as soon as possible in order to "feel impactful" but its mostly wrong. My advice for combat: 4. Take your time. Dont rush to unload all your big attacks unless you know they will land (if the enemy is cced). EVERY SINGLE PROFFESSION has at least 5+ ways to mitigate damage. Blocks, reflects, immunities, dodges and so on. Attack once then observe and act accordingly. Most of the time after an attack the enemy will respond with a block, dont waste your CDs on that wait it out, reposition. It took me a while to not just press all my buttons as a Nade Holosmith. Most of which gets blocked, missed, dodged. It will take experiance to identify the windows to attack but thats a skill that help me become better the most.
That is an excellent take. The pain for me comes when the enemy is not stupid and doest block at the 1st hit i throw. Then its frustrating as the cartoonish animations of the game makes me not udnerstand much of wtf will be coming at me.
@Kriss Vanags you kinda contradicted yourself there. If it had realistic ones you would be able to understand stuff. It has cartoonish when i swing my greatsword and i see more of its afterimage than the sword itself...anyway happy easter
Nice video man! In my experience, the players that have the most comments on other peoples gameplay are typically not the best. (Yes I'm talking to you ranger that has been idling for 5 minutes on an uncontested node while your team had to deal with outnumbered fights). If you're typing in PVP it should always be short, clear and useful. You'll find that typing "regroup" is a much more effective feedback to give that "stop dying" for example.
I really want to improve my pvp skill, because i dont even got a 50% win rate after 200+ matches, which means I have to learn a lot... I subscribed and will keep watching ur videos😊 Great content❤
I still suck at Gw2 but I dived into a few game's deep meta as both duellist and team player. Matter of fact, tip #2 is essential. Playing defensively will get you positive k/d, playing aggressively will get you positive win ratio.
I have come to a conclusion that i like WvW better I suck at pvp and am mediocre at best atleast in wvw i can contribute by capturing stuff and throwing crap to enemy blobs or AoE healing fields to my team. Only thing battlegrounds do is make me angry.
My best tip: Win team fights? => Cap home and mid Lose team fights? => Cap home and far to split up the opponent and create opportunities. At my rank I regularly have to deal with teammates who keep on kamikazeing on mid and shouting that the rest are idiots for ever going far. They fail to understand how team composition determines fights and that history repeats if they do not make a change. It's beyond frustrating.
Ok and what should i do if i see my team doing everythig but winnig? like, fight ofpoint, risk a 2v1 and getting down, bunker mech on far that just chills there, beeing afk in spawn or a bot with a broken path algo, heal tempest trying to camp at the enemy spawn, etc. welcome to silver 2 (gold 2 last season but hey)
@@Vallun I play casually and I like the action combat more. But in spvp, I often aim at the wrong enemy with that... So I decided to relearn the tan target
My biggest gripe with GW2 as a PvP'er in MMORPG"s , is that I cannot understand wtf is happening in a fight due to the "cartoonish" animations of the game. I dont know when I should dodge since idk when a big hit is coming. It is very frustrating. Dont get me wrong, i tried playing it a lot, even bought the 2 expacs and tried again. I just can't. Sometimes i do kill someone ( I mainly play warrior ) when I stun and then do a massive dmg attack but if the enemy has too weird animations and also he is semi range then its so hard to know how to counter play it.
Thanks for being a positively helpful member of our community :)

Nahh top 3 tips to improve win rate are: 1. alt duo, 2. que dodge, 3. wintrade
these tips are great, I’m too lazy to practice them but they’re great lmfao
