This is the final part of the combat mechanics series (check description for the other parts), and these are made because of requests or a demand for them, so if you all want more guides be sure to subscribe. Lately there have been many haters and attention-seekers attacking us. I don't have the same time to respond to all of these people because I am always working on making the best content and improving that (learned photoshop last month). These people sit around all day with nothing better to do than to seek relevance in games or on social media. My brand has never been to be the nice guy, so anyone suggesting I am not who I claim to be is just looking to degrade others in order to relatively gain power. What I have always done is provide the most helpful guides that are accessible, detailed, and promote many viable ways to do something; not because I think it is the most morally correct thing to do, but because I think that is the content most people want and will get views. Anyone claiming the moral high ground is just forcing their agenda deceptively. However, I was taught to respect people who deserve it. I will never tell others to harass another content creator because of a disagreement, but that is not the same luxury we have been given here. But others who are disrespectful are not deserving of respect. These people are like those prankster youtubers who start recording after stepping on your shoes or tripping you, except they do it for months or even years. Source of information is very important nowadays as people can hide their agenda behind multiple anonymous accounts or take things out of context. All I ask is that people question the validity of anyone making these sorts of claims and why someone would make these claims. What is their agenda and intentions? You'll realize soon enough that these people monetize their content on drama, are directly in competition, or dislike other styles because they can't be the best when diversity exists. Dealing with this is a tax to my time, and I would prefer to focus on myself so that is what I am going to do after writing this.
LoL I wanted to write that the game does not reward learning precise rotation, but instead I see that there is some drama. Who attacked you? Can you explain more? Finally some content in GW 2, I'm more curious than the new expansion 🥲
New to gw2, been a tryhard pvper in every game I’ve done in my life. I’m always more excited for your videos vs any other UA-camr because you are clearly someone that has played games competitively and can articulate that to a larger audience. I don’t know what drama is going on right now, but try to not let the randoms get in your head. If someone who’s worthy of an opinion causes drama, then you can give it attention. 10/10 channel bro, love your stuff
You are a great content creator, people try to generate hate to get some cloud and attention. There stupid and a waste of time. Keep doing what your doing
Vallun's clear articulation + jazz tunes = instant thumbs up . This is a great video. Explaining super specific mechanic techniques and keybind optimizations is something that a lot of people dont bother making content about.
I really like the keybind suggestions in this video. Putting mount binds on the number pad and push to talk on a mouse button are two examples of keybinds that I wouldn't have thought of, but they make perfect sense for fast-paced gaming situations. Tips like these that Vallun includes in his videos have helped me improve as a player and reduced my deaths and my occasional frustration. Thanks, Vallun, as always.
Thank you for all your contributions to the GW2 community. You were one of a handful of content creators who inspired me to try the game for the first time just last year. (Now I love it and play nearly everyday.) Your and GuildJen’s content keep me motivated and have helped me be a better player and have more fun.
As an Aussie player with ~250 ping, THANK YOU for talking about effects of ping and providing some advice on how to play around it. It's crazy how much of a difference it makes, especially in PvP.
This is so good, it should be pinned on the front page of the GW2 official website for all eternity, I know you are reading the comments Rubi, get to it!
How have I not seen your videos before today? I didn't even know you could animation cancel some skills and ttht the game allows for Queuing of skills unti watching your videos. I have a lot of your vids to catch up on!
Hi, Vallun! How are you? Could you produce a video explaining how balance updates affect old builds, what the impact on performance is? Is it viable to continue with these old builds or is it better to update them? How to update a build? Are there tools that help in this process? Thank you! Congratulations on the excellent content produced (videos, live streams...).
the process of updating old builds is asking what if anything changed, it could be the meta or the skills of the class, and then asking if the current build is the best version of the build. A lot of testing is required for this, so while theorycrafting helps, simply playing the game is the best way to do so. Usuaully outdated builds are still fine to play unless something drastically changed, since most players play outdated builds, but the definition of an outdated build is really just a build that isnt optimal, which people play all the time and its fine because it works for them. We try to make builds that not only work for a variety of people, but also the best versions of those builds.
Second comment: Your skill level at playing GW2 is way above mine. Have you ever thought about making a video that describes which steps you would suggest for new players to follow, that would help them raise their skills towards the goal of playing as skillful as you are? Like which of your videos would you recommend to start with and what order would you recommend for progression? Getting “Gud” is easy to suggest, but for some players it is hard to accomplish. Just wondering if you have a list of priorities on how players should proceed with their attempt to get better at playing GW2? I would guess that setting up good keybinds and learning all of the movement tricks would be high on that list.
yes this is actually a big issue, having all these videos but no one knows which to watch or which to even search for. Thats why i organized these three videos (this one and the 2 in the description) as the combat mechanics series. There are other useful videos for other things, but for the combat itself these 3 are the staple
Great video, lots of fantastic tips and suggestions. One point that you said caught my attention and it was related to using certain key presses for stun breaks. Do you use different keybinds for different professions or elite specs, so that you have your stun breaks on the same key(s), for every character? I don’t know if this is even possible, but I think it would be beneficial to try, so muscle memory would kick in and make play easier where breaking out of stuns is important, such as competitive play modes and higher levels of difficulty in PvE play.
i dont use different keybinds just to make it easier for me to play all classes to a more similar level rather than optimizing binds for one or so, and at first its hard to know what are good general keybinds because you have to play everything first, but yes ive optimized my keybinds a couple of times before getting them to where im comfortable, even if i still think i could optimize them further
@@Vallun I'm in the same boat. Optimized my keybinds a couple times, but always feel that someone else probably has a better setup that I could switch to and make further advancements to my game play.

"while others just make drama, hate and lies..." Yeah, it's EVERYONE ELSE that's toxic not you guys LOL. Why even make statements like this unless you're actively trying to gaslight people? Absolutely insane.
As someone playing with about 200 - 300 ping, i can confirm the skill queueing is very much a LIFE SAVER. It doesnt seem to work if you ever get over 500 ping tho, but at that point, maybe sort out the high ping before trying something like pvp
Its absolutely abyssmal that a condi varient of a build does more than the powet build. Im not about that condi life. So therefore my power alac renegade is forever a P.o.S

Push to talk on a mouse button is at least a 20 year old tech. Back in the days of Ventrillo and team speak etc.

So many beautiful combos in this game. So many are underlooked.
Man, I love how you make effort to zoom in so it's easier for us to follow on phone and smaller screen.
loved the "tone" of using one hand "for whatever reason" made me laugh
FINALLY! Practical information about how to play the game better. Liked and subscribed.
super down to earth, great articulation, great video
Thank you for this video! There were some really good insights 👌
I never noticed how extreme the loss of momentum after using a leap skill was…
Well done. I'm sending this video to a friend who's just getting into the game.

Awesome! But you missed the down state as part of the rotation when talking about elementalist
I enjoyed the FFX music choices
Nice education 😁. No drama, very helpful.
Amazing video. I really hope you get enough likes to make the videos about the differences between the different classes
Guild Wars 2 and Final Fantasy X, now that's a perfect combo. We really need blitzball in gw2 already
Can't wait for the vid! ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Love the FFX soundtrack in the background
Great video
liked and subed. Your videos is sooooo helpful for me as a newbie. Hope to see more!!!!!
Hey brother, incredible video. Learning so much from you>
I reckon you're making that more in-depth video :P
Great video as usual, i would like to see your elementalist builds pve and pvp 😊
Hitting the dummy is the most universal point made by every gw2 content creator.
The FFX soundtrack is so cozy. My favorite game.
excellent video

Not sure if you do these, but would be great to see encounter breakdowns where you talk through your thought processes.
