hope this video is helpful to you all who wanted to know how to work with soak off gels.You can use them on your natural nails without the use of nail tips or silk extensions or forms . Soak off gels are great to start out with especially if you are new to gels.And they are super easy to remove.Just soak them off in 100% pure acetone.
I will also post a video on how to do a refill and how to soak it off so keep watching for those videos.

sally beauty supply sells the ibd brand i think both soak off and non soak off in their california stores at least and you can also check non chain asian nail supply stores. i've gotten my supplies from both these type of stores
I have a nail that splits length wise, must keep ut filed all the time and keep the rest of the nails short as well, you gave me a great idea here... Thank you.. Can I do this with Gelish and LED lamp?

Hi! Thank you again for the amazing tutorial! I broke a corner off my thumb. I didnt have the IBD gel you used. I tried this using my Sensationail base/top coat! I hope it holds up!

On the IBD soak off gel kit it has a clear gel a sculpting gel and a builder gel, But im confused on wich one you put first on your nails? And whats the differnce between sculpting gel and builder gel?

Is using the ibd soak off with out the silk still good to just have a layer of gel to make ur nails stronger ? You would just follow the same steps with out the silk part?

Do you have traces of fungus on your nails? Do Silk wraps, resin & the rest of those products cause fungus to grow?
i do not have fungus ....but lifting from gels or acrylics can cause fungus if the nails are not properly taken care of.

Hello Anna! Love your videos! sooo helpful. Quick question... I have used your asp lightless resin method of silk wrapping but have never used the soak off gel. Wanted to know, does this have to be cured only with a uv lamp? because I own an led lamp and am hoping I don't have to purchase another lamp. If so do you suggest using the ibd brand led gel base and top coat??
Sasha Rodriguez you need a 36 watt uv lamp with soak off gels this gel won't cure with an LED lamp only UV lamp sorry ;(. 'm sure over time all gel companies will change the formulas in their gels so that they can be cured with both lamps but for now it cures with UV lamp only

Erika Rivota you can't use the sentationail lamp to cure gels only a 36 watt (4 bulbs of 9 watt each ) work for all gels.

the primers for gels help the gel adhere better to the nails. Its advised that you do use it if you want to prevent lifting. You can use the gel without it but you will have more lifting.

Yes, it is great for broken nails bc you only have to buff your naked nail once! As for the UV lamp, no you do NOT need one. BUT...you cannot use UV required gel. She showed the "ASP No Light Gel" in the beginning, which she said she does use. Try it, no harm no foul. Hope I helped!
Try ASP brand, Sally Beauty, REMOVAL CAPS and PADS. SOOO much easier than anything out there. Do all 10 nails at once and on your own, no mess, you can move around and caps and pads stay on. Check out the You Tube tutorial Sally Beauty has on them.
I'm confused about the difference between a bonder and a primer. I have the gelish pH bond, which doesn't cure like the bonder you used. Do I really need the primer too?
a bonder helps the gel stick to the nail , a primer preps the nail so that the entire gel adheres properly to a well ph balanced nail.. both are essential but you can get away without using a bonder. but a primer is really a must
Primer is an acid, generally methacrylic acid. It is essentially a chemical etching agent and is absolutely necessary for acrylic. Gel bonder is not acidic. It is a very thin, UV curing compound that will, ideally, penetrate into the texture of the sanded nail then cure. It is less harmful to the nail than methacrylic acid at the cost of relying heavily on the surface roughness of the nail.
I buy all of my products on Ebay. They have whatever you need.

MirLidNailArt flash cure for 20-30 seconds. Pull out and pinch with fingers or a puncher tool then cure for rest of time. You can also buy c curve rods on eBay.
DO YOU NEED A UV LAMP BUT IF YOU DON HAVE IT CAN YOU LET IT DRY ON ITS OWN.....IF NOT WHERE TO FIND THE UV LAMP
you need a 36 watt (4 bulb) uv lamp in order to cure gel. It won't cure or harden on its own. You can find uv lamps online websites like amazon,tmart,..

IBD soak off that I used in this video is a UV cured gel you need a 36 watt lamp.
okay thanks........ well I want soak off so I guess I need to get a uv lamp...... I see their regular stuff but I don't think it soaks off, ugh....I don't want to damage them again by picking the regular gel off unless that soaks off too

hmm they are noth good gels its just personal preference. gelish structure is easier to work with

Tuamotu I know this is old but I wouldn't recommend gelish structure. It's not very thick or strong. I found gelish vitagel to be stronger than this. Neither is structure recommended for extensions

Tuamotu yes I use it often. It's easy to use BUT you will want to get the ph bond (dehydrator) and the Pro Bond because a lot of people, myself included finds it has a tendency to lift. The pro bond stops that. If you want to use nail polish over it either make sure you use acetone free remover or put a gel top coat over it as it soaks off very easily too
I've used vitagel strength and recovery and they're both good. I think you can find vitagel strength cheaper than recovery however.
Make sure you oil your nails daily and stay away from water to help preserve length and keep them in good condition

Yes you can. Make sure that the tips of your nails are buffed and have the shine removed. Just apply the silk and resin on top of the tip.

- I am still confused as to the soak-off term... Is it that you can remove it by putting your nails in acetone or remover? Because the container says PEEL.
- What is the difference between the soak-off gel you are using and the soak-off nail polish or topcoat? Do they have a different texture, thickness or they are the same?
Unforgettable the container saying "peel" refers to the sticker on top, not the gel itself. Soak off gel nails are removed by soaking in pure acetone.
