As a completely self taught and then school for the license nail tech filling is also my weakness.. I can build nails on forms with anything acrylic or gel or solid gels polygels but filing has always been an issue with me.. I guess it gets better over time and practice.. good luck you’ll figure it out
@@Rissy617you fill with gel the same way you would with acrylic.. you file down and then apply it and even out the entire thing to rebalance if necessary…
I can definitely relate as I have difficulty with filing. Some nail techs say only file one direction and others say to file back and forth. Some mostly use the rectangular shaped emery boards, some swear that the glass files work the best, and then there are the quartz files too. It’s so confusing! 🤷♀️

I do my own nails, they're quite long naturally. I dont build them longer, but I do use a leveling gel for a slight apex. I had them done for years, but since retirement I have the time and honestly saves a ton of money. Love your videos, I learn something from nearly each one.
I learned gel nails in November last year and I loved it. Haven't done much nails since then tho, been working alot. This video maked me miss doing nails. Great video
If I end up becoming a nail tech it’ll be because of this woman here. I’ve Jenn watch her for years and I’m so in love with the way she teaches it makes me want to learn to do nails
I'm impressed of people who can do this on themselves. For me it would take a week to get done 😂 I'm currently trying to learn how to do those acrylics that are glued on.
Just did my first builder gel nail set on myself with saviland never used builder gel before but this video walked me through it perfectly and they have turned out so good ❤❤❤
Thank you Suzie for a very informative, great video as always! I found you in 2019 just as I started my nail journey & you are my 'go to' on my home screen whenever I need to refresh or tackle something new on my nail journey. My home Salon is growing slowly but surely, I just wish so very much I could get your products more affordably here in South Africa ie.courier charges are just astronomical😢 Cameraman your production is always on point! I loved the "little particles of dust effect😂" thank you both for helping educate the 💅world ❤❤ have a great week ahead 🌻
Suzie! I started watching your videos years ago (my very first was when you tried Mosaic). I have learned everything I know from you and love watching your videos! I have to say, I am still weak with the filing, but continue to learn. Love your work, and personality!

Wow 😍 I’m a nail designer and I never practiced what I learned on my intensive course. So I’m back on my studies to work as a nail designer in London or Paris.
After 45 years and retirement from doing nails, I think I'll stick with acrylic. I could do it, but I like the quickness of a fast set acrylic. You do beautiful work. And I learn something from you every time I watch you.❤
I want to say thank you so much for your 'easy breezy' way of teaching and explaining things! That's a skill on a whole other level! And that my negative Nellies, can't be taught 💪
Finally made my first order from your site ♥️ I ordered some nail forms on Amazon to try and immediately watched your video again on how to use them.. not satisfied with the size and shape of what I ordered so I decided to just go to your site to get your buttons. I also got your bridge, Naturally Fake EZ Gel, and some blooming coat since I’ve always wanted to try it. I’m SO EXCITED to get my products!!! I just do my own nails and currently love builder in a bottle. I also love hybrid gel but have only gotten it in tubes so far, so I’m excited to try yours. Thank you so much for the wonderful videos. I watch them all the time just to relax and unwind 😂
Just wanted to say I got my “naturally fake” gel and all the other goodies. I’ve done my nails for years but no matter what I always have lifting and pop at least one off after a week. I’m at two weeks and not only are they the easiest and most beautiful nails I’ve ever done but they have absolutely no lifting. I’m astonished. Thank you so much for the educational videos and amazing products! Plus I love your infectious personality! Win win win! ❤
This is a great idea. I am going to order a kit then watch the video AGAIN, cause I am still going to watch this right now first. Love your lesson videos.
My New Builder Gel Starter Kit is now available! 😀

....I just LOVE when you throw the boxes back behind you, I'm not sure why but it makes me giggy ever TIME😂😂😂😂
That’s how it started
My clients Laughed
I do my own nails, they're quite long naturally. I dont build them longer, but I do use a leveling gel for a slight apex. I had them done for years, but since retirement I have the time and honestly saves a ton of money. Love your videos, I learn something from nearly each one.
Don't know how I missed this but thanks so much for putting practice fingers in the kit.😊
I learned gel nails in November last year and I loved it. Haven't done much nails since then tho, been working alot. This video maked me miss doing nails. Great video
Hi Suzie, ex nailbiter, thin easily damaged but love beauty at my fingertips. You have given me so much inspiration and help. Forever ❤
Oh my. Yes, i needed this video. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much. I gave this a go & it actually doesn’t look too shabby for a first attempt. 🙏🏻
Thank you Suzie, you’re the best teacher ever! I can’t stop watching your videos ❤
If I end up becoming a nail tech it’ll be because of this woman here. I’ve Jenn watch her for years and I’m so in love with the way she teaches it makes me want to learn to do nails
You are a great teacher and artist ❤😊
I'm impressed of people who can do this on themselves. For me it would take a week to get done 😂 I'm currently trying to learn how to do those acrylics that are glued on.
Just did my first builder gel nail set on myself with saviland never used builder gel before but this video walked me through it perfectly and they have turned out so good ❤❤❤
I feel so safe and relaxed while watching your Videos ☺️
Shhhh! Suzie's got matching nails. And don't they look gorgeous? x
Your kit definitely has the necessity for everything needed!! That's awesome ❤
Just did my nails with builder gel a few days ago, thank u Suzie! Next polygel
This woman calms my nervous system
Thank you Suzie for a very informative, great video as always! I found you in 2019 just as I started my nail journey & you are my 'go to' on my home screen whenever I need to refresh or tackle something new on my nail journey. My home Salon is growing slowly but surely, I just wish so very much I could get your products more affordably here in South Africa ie.courier charges are just astronomical😢
Cameraman your production is always on point! I loved the "little particles of dust effect😂" thank you both for helping educate the 💅world ❤❤ have a great week ahead 🌻

You explain it very clear and fabulous 👌 😊
Suzie! I started watching your videos years ago (my very first was when you tried Mosaic). I have learned everything I know from you and love watching your videos! I have to say, I am still weak with the filing, but continue to learn. Love your work, and personality!
I love the red iguana practice hands still realistic when doing practice on nails. I love the half of the ham the full of the hand and then just to solid fingers are beautiful Have a blessed week Susie Thank you for making it fun. Can't wait to see you do some mother's Day designs Cinco de Mayo designs 😉🌼🌻🌷🙋🏻♀️🎉😉🌟📺📽️💯‼️🥰
by watching your videos i have learned how to do my own nails at home thank you so much
Loved this! Been doing my own nails for years. I’m going to get a nail tech license to do a career change! Just waiting a few more month so I have enough in my 401k so I quiet and pay for school! Can’t wait!!
This was an awesome lesson. You're a wonderful teacher!
Wow 😍 I’m a nail designer and I never practiced what I learned on my intensive course. So I’m back on my studies to work as a nail designer in London or Paris.
Haven't been here in a ages good to be back !
Just saw this n definitely doing it on my client tmrw🎉
Thank you suzie
The Nigella of Nail Art 😍❤️!!!! I love your videos! So informative and your voice is so calming!! Ty for your work😊
After 45 years and retirement from doing nails, I think I'll stick with acrylic.
You are so funny 😂 is never boring to wacht your video's 😊
Bij the way...I don't like too much/ high apex but I suppose that's OK 😅
Can you do dip powder over builder gel? For instance if you just did clear builder gel to help with the strength of your natural nail?
