If anyone tries this, please do not use tip cutters to shorten the already cured acrylic nails 😬 this can and will cause cracking or shattering of the nails, which not only ruins them but can be very painful also. Only file!
That tip about using the cuticle pusher to level out the underside is an absolutely fantastic bit of genius. It's made such a difference in the form..thank you thank you!!
Thank you so much for posting this video using the 'ASP Form A Nail" forms. Between looking at your video showing how to use with acrylic nails and also looking at another UA-camr, "The Polished Mommy" demonstrating how to use with gel nails, I wasn't sure which method to use because both you ladies gave excellent instructions through your videos. I'm sure I will try both the acrylic & gel nails with the forms and decide which one is better for me. Thanks again!
Thanks so much for this! I'd watched someone else's UA-cam video before using these for the first time. While they turned out better than expected, there were a few issues I was looking for answers to, and you addressed them beautifully! I'm not really a fancy nail gal- I keep my cuticles healthy, nails short-to-medium with a coat of clear on them. However, a couple of times a year for a special occasion, such as a family wedding, I will wish to have a dressier look. I wholeheartedly agree with what you said in the video! These forms make it very easy for someone like me, who has very little experience, to get a salon look at home without spending a lot of money! Thanks again for the excellent tips (no pun intended)! They made my second attempt with these forms turn out much, much better!
Your video tutorial is the best I've seen. I came across yours just about 3 weeks and decided to get the forms. I learned the acrylic nail technique, liquid and powder ball on the brush and then build on the natural nail or nail tip. Took forever. Your tutorial is well done. Your instructions are so easy to understand. Thank you immensely for taking the time to make it.
+Fran Milisci Has it gotten any faster for you? :)
I love this idea! I first seen this on someone's channel. However she was doing because it was easier for her! I have a hard time applying the acrylic. So this idea is Amazing!
Can't wait love this kit idea 🤗
Very happy I watched this! Thank you for all the tips! 👍💋
I'm using them today and I must say they are not bad quality at all. I haven't tried the others yet, and can't wait to get more proficient with these. They are so much fun! tfs!!
You are MAGNIFICENT!💅
I tried this for the first time on my daughter yesterday. I used a white tip though. It was difficult at first but through trial and error I got it. I think next time I will not use a nail tip. This is a really good review and tutorial! Thank you.
what a great concept. Thank you for sharing that, it will save alot of people having to go to salon's. I love love your videos. I always learn something new.
Turned out so good.
This nail system is really cool. I'm tempted to try it next time I break a nail! Thanks for the great video! :)

You did a great job ,them form are real good ,what I did was in the back while the nail was on drying I pressed with another regular tip to make it nice n smooth under the nail too n it turned out perfect ,so if u want next time give it a try with just any other regular tip of the same size ,you will be surprise of the results ...anyway ,Thanks for share your ideas ,have a nice night ...God Bless
I love this concept
thank you for sharing, i love your videos. they are so detailed.
Heather Bolanos thank you
Crazy amazing!. Thank you
Thanks for this video. I has some of these types of tips a few years back and they were too small for my nail bed so they just sat around and collected dust. I'll definitely have to try these out since they seem to be wider than the others.
thank you a zillion ... i love it ... just can't wait for tutorial with UV gel ... God bless you ... many hugs from Bosnia :o)
Thank you for the tutorial!
These work great and do exactly what they claim I just had some small problems with the forms not covering my nails completely on my thumbnail but I fixed it by going back in with some extra acyrlic.
Thank you very much for sharing 😍
do I have to use the asp liquid and powder? ? there pretty expensive......so would I be able to use beauty secret liquid and powder from sally beauty as well?
Maybe if you have trouble remembering where you need to stop applying the acrylic you could stick some tape to mark where to stop or use some kind of marker :D
how do you prevent gel gathering/pooling in the middle of the form since gel runs?
Thank you for the nice tutorial. This technique is interesting, but it looks almost as tricky as the original method. How does a fill work?
great tutorials!!
TFS...might have to go out n buy these.
I have thin natural nails anyway, would these hurt my nails? Thanks for the tutorial! Great Info!
Great video!
I LOVE her nails
So these forms are better for damaged or bitten nails? Nails that are really short???

thank you for sharing
Anna, I did my sister's nails with white tips and on three of her nails back toward the cuticle it ended up with bubbles and the thumb and pinky turned out really good. What did I do wrong? Did I not put enough product in the form? Please let me know. Thanks.
Hi does this help your own nails grow underneath the acrylic nail?
can I ask you how often use uv gel and if you see any damage to your nails?I do my nails once for two weeks and I think they are thinner and sensitive!can I use something to make my nails harder?
Hi I tried doing these once and I ended up not being able to remove the form I ended up having to cut them and peel them off as much as i could and they ended up very thick anyway I Stuffed some how thank you for posting the video Gail
where did you get your cuticle tools??? love your channel
Can you buy the ASP Nail Forms at any other store or just at Sally Beauty?
you did a great job, thanx for the video, ths is so easy to do,no more having to put a nail tip & going through filing nails & drama,is this something new that came out?for year 2014?
mari Rios nail forms have been around for a few years. The ASP ones are new but I've seen other forms that have been around for longer. Thanks for watching ;)
You are meant to use tips with these, these forms are made so that you can just apply the acrylic to the nail and tip easier and faster. If you dont use tips the acrylic snaps very easily. Speaking from experience.
Yes they ARE reuseable
I need some of this caz I cant bother sometimes especially when am in a rush
Hello, do you know if there's a problem using nail resin instead of the acrylic liquid?
Wow, this is the first I've heard of these...they look fabulous!! Thank you for making the video. Very informative and you explained PERFECTLY!! I for sure will be giving these a try ~ xox debbieinchicago

Omg where can i but everything can i use any acryl?
Hi! I can use the 0 on one of my thumb nails but I still have nail that isn't covered on my other thumb. Is there a way to get it to cover the full nail?
Hi I am a new subbie i am Hairnailsandbeautytips cousin (mama rosa) she sent me to you :) pleased to meet you :)
What is the tool called that you used after the cuticle pusher? I'd like to find one to buy but don't know what it is called. Thank you.
When do u apply the nail primer?
where can i get the forms. sally's are out online also?
Dose this stay on your nail just as strong as dooing acrylic nail the regular way? Great review. Im watching all your reviews and subbed.
Catriona Halliday yes its just as strong if you do it right ;) thanks for watching and subscribing . I have another dual system video you should watch its the YS nails . I show you a technique there to make the form stay on much better. I will try to send you the link when I get a chance
yes the forms come out nice but the side I just can not get right...and they only stay on for about a week...any tips
yes please to the gel experiment
I have a question, can you use gel polish over this?
Hi love the look but how can I had a curve I don't have curve on my nails does this a a little curve to it
Can't wait to see if it works for UV Gel-- or did you mean you were going to use Non- UV Gel nails-- either way can't wait to see... Thx-- I've seen this type of product before-- from another Company and they wanted like $100 bucks for the beginner kit-- LOL!!!
Hi...just a question. I heard that the primer makes the nail porous and it is bad for it. Is that true? If so, can I do this without using the primer? Thank you.
I'm old school and do my own acrylics. ...I will stick to that. Interesting tho.thank u.
Hi Anna! I have a question about lifting. I like to use the asp plastic forms to do my nails, and the first time I used them had no issues with lifting, I have done my nails using the forms about 4-5 times since than and have lifting on at least a couple nails every time now :\ I have done a lot of research on it and found some tips that are supposed to help to prevent lifting but they don't seem to make a difference. I have tried to make sure I etch of the shine well, I have been using two coats of dehydrator, two coats of primer, the second coat of primer I put on right before each acrylic nail because I read that primer and acrylic work best together when both are wet, when I apply the acrylic nail to mine with the primer being wet I can instantly feel the difference in hold, it feels much stronger! Also I read that when you push back the cuticles the skin it exposes can not hold acrylic, even if you file, dehydrate and prime that area, they say the acrylic will not hold to it and that it will cause lifting. The way they described it was that I should put the acrylic on so that it is about 2 credit card widths away from the skin, I have tried this twice now and I still have some lifting issues. I was wondering if you had any ideas as to what I can do to stop this from happening like this. In the past I only ever had small amounts of lifting every now and than and usually when the nails needed a fill, I do know how to fix lifting but it's been a pain to keep having to fix lifting every time I put a new set on
Lifting is usually caused on both acrylic or gels if there is dead skin or oils on the nail plate(insufficient prep work) . Also keep in mind, the more often you put a new set on and file the natural nail it can also weaken your nail so when you apply new acrylic to the nails , no matter how much prep you do and primer you apply the acrylic won't hold as well to a very thin nail that has been over filed. So that can also be the cause especially around the cuticle area.(Its not the product that damages nails its usually over exposure to the product for prolonged periods of time and the over filing and lifting can also cause damage as the product lits it also lifts a thin layer of natural nail even if you can't visibly see it) Damage from filing on nails doesn't always show up right away either so its hard to tell if your nails are over filed (applying acrylic or gel to weak nails will simply not last and it tends to lift more). Some women are more prone to lifting than others too it all depends, but I noticed that if you live in a very humid climate you tend to get more lifting with gels and acrylics. Weather can also contribute to lifting and during winter seasons there can be more lifting. I would suggest to try changing your primer to see if that works .Sometimes primers can also determine how the product holds on nails. A primer that works on one client doesn't mean it works on another. Its all trial and error. And lastly it can also be the application of the acrylic application in the form itself .If it is too thick or too thin around the cuticle area it can lift as well.
Thank you! I have a feeling it's probably due to the fact I have changed the sets so often lately, because I have done so lately more often than I ever have before! And I did notice my nails are a bit thinner than I have ever seen them before! I am going to give them a break and let them grow out and thicken back up before I put another set on. I have a good feeling that is gonna make a big difference, I have been doing my own acrylics for a couple years and never had this problem before and have been using the same brand of primer, so I bet it's that my nails are too thin right now :)
Question does it have to be Asp acrylic or can it be a different brand of acrylic??
Does this method has staying power for weeks?
I’ve been using these for about a month or two now and every set I do I have a problem with my nails popping off. I bought a “No Lift Nails primer” and they still pop off. What Can I do? Also, do I have to take these off every time I need a fill, or Can I just put these on top with another layer of acrylic?
Taylormarie12321 they're lifting or popping off because of cuticles not being pushed back enough. Watch Naio Nails or Nail career education.. I've used these with no lifting. And yes you can do fills without having to start over. Naio Nails has a video about how to do this.
I purchased this and the sample kit. The first test had bubbles in the nail bed area. besides the fact that it was my first time, could it be the brush that was included in the kit? it was natural hair but they bristles didn't look as firm as the ones I have seen in other videos. thanks
the brush I used didn't come in the kit but you can find it at sally beauty supply, the bubbles are from the application of acrylic in the form usually
Oh, Will look for the brush on my next shop, thanks very much
Do you think I could use normal clear nail tips to do the same thing?
Vercippu NO it won't work. These tips are a special kind of plastic tip that can only work this way.Regular nail tips don't work.
So much easier!
I think you missunderstood my question. I have a bunch of regular nail forms. Like the long tips that you cut. Can't I just use them and do the same thing you did the same way you did or is there something special about the dual forms?
Polygel with these makes application much quicker and easier
can you use this with a gel?
how does it transfer from the form to the artificial nail without sticking to the form
Hello this product sends Japan pro ?Thanks
Can I use shellac nail polish on these acrylic nails , and is it easy to remove the polish
the nail after it is finished is like any other acrylic nail
where did you buy the tips? could you get it from Sally's?
Tatii Dunn I got mine at Sally's.
can you do this and shape the nails into like dagger nails??
Does the kit come with acrylic already
unfortunately no you have to buy the acrylic separately
Where did you get the nail tool
where can you buy it ??
What is the ASP liquid used for?
If you use the forms and the acrylic is too thin of a layer, can u do it a second time to thicken it?
yes
Can you use builder gel and a led lamp with this instead of acrylic?
MsFarrinFlow yes if your gel is led cured gel .
***** I am not sure I have the Sina uv gel in clear pink and white
MsFarrinFlow if you are going to use gel, use a tip... because it won't be as strong without it. It also takes practice of course.
want them
and you have to work quickly right?
