The show was called Supersonic, it was the first time I saw Heart. The show always had unusual stage props and was directed by the flamboyant Mike Mansfield in the control booth!! I immediately went out and bought Dreamboat Annie!
I was in high school in 1978 and saw Heart leaving the lobby of the Holiday Inn in my home town after the previous nights show. Anne Wilson was super fine. I was just a kid. She blew right by me.
Lust, love, money, drugs & the 70’s. Pretty easy to see how the Fisher brothers fell so hard for the gorgeous Wilson sisters. I’m sure there are regrets but the music they created continues to sound sensational today.
Although shortened, this might be the best version I've heard. Easily the heaviest and Ann playing the crowd with vocals. Band setup is also unique- drummer in the front, the rest of the group behind him but elevated. Very unique and original.
I love forever !!!!😍😍👋👋👋❤❤❤❤❤
Right about the time I was coming home for Christmas break as a college freshman and firing up the Boston album on the old man's turntable. Weird that I don't associate Boston and Heart being in the same era.
YES! Just makes my entire being smile! Thank you Rog and Michael for sharing all of these amazing videos! I've been going through some really painful life stuff lately and and Heart has always been my "drug" so to speak, so getting to watch and hear these gems you've been uploading is just what I have needed, and couldn't have come at a better time! Love you guys!
Man, I was wondering what was up with the Les Paul's tone - absolutely glorious hot, sweet, and liquid. And then I read your info and...of course. Marshall. Marshall. It all makes sense.

Hi, I remember watching this at the time, it was from a tea-time show called Supersonic, I think on ITV. It was produced by Mike Mansfield and was notorious for over the top special effects, featured a cross section of artists rock pop, prog etc. HEART performed 2 songs, I went straight out and bought Dreamboat Annie!!!
Great song and performance, but whose hair brain idea was it for the stage layout. Putting rock musician on a small, narrow and elevated platform is not the best scenario. As much as they like to dance around once the music gets going, they're fortunate that one fell off and got seriously hurt. Seems very restrictive to the artist and the drummer out front is very odd. Never seen that before and most likely never will again. Love the band though. Ann and Nancy both are just fabulous!
Ann Wilson - the GREATEST female rock vocalist of ALL TIME...
Robert Plant counterpart.
Their was something so electric about the original Heart band lineup. The arrangements, the musicians and that voice! Phenonemal.
You gotta love when the camera zooms in on the bass player during the guitar solo.
here to praise Ann, she was so hot in the 70s. literal perfection.
You mean she was hot in THE 70'S - but not now in HER 70'S.
(🤷♀️Just askin')🙃
@@142horizon yes.
Absolute goddess
her voice is unmatched
A lot of powerful magic in Ann's voice. Wow, look at her stunning beauty. 😍❤️😘

I had such a crush on her. I was 14 when they exploded on the scene!

Great live version, beautiful Ann Wilson!
デビューアルバムの名曲ですね。もう一曲、Crazy On Youも大好きです。❤
What in the hell is the band standing on? Everyone except the drummer is two-steps away from eternity.
🤣
???
Hmmm...
Don't get the "eternity" part.
That was really good. The whole band was together and the tempo was perfect. Of course, Ann killed it with her extraordinary voice.
These songs are timeless. Just amazing arrangements.
This is my favorite version of this song! Just Perfection!!
Yeah that singer she just got this look about her and this style fits her perfect 😏💪✌
Yessssssss...Heart at its finest, nothing else ever came close
🤗❤👍👍
Never seen this footage before.Great

There are many best versions of the song.
A magic song! It never gets old.
Happy Birthday Ann!!🎉🎉

PS-Love hearing some of the back stories too! You have always been so creative with your musicianship!
Thank you so much!

Roger has some serious guitar skills, I think his playing is up there with the great Jimmy Page!
yep
LOL
Im pretty sure that was one of his influences. Infact they were all huge Led Zeppelin fans and Ann was influenced by Robert Plant's singing.
Well he had his moments, but Mr page had a lifetime of them, song after song after song....
For sure - like totally!
Interesting stage set up.
Unusual to see a drummer in front and below. Wonder how Mike D. liked that?
You guys were the real deal! You brought such a great sound from studio to stage.
❤Hand Made Rock❤
Upload more!!!💖💖💖
Not much more to same, simply awesome, seeing this really puts perspective on it all, over say? just hearing the song on the radio or whatever.
This new cat is something else.
Forget about me awhile puzzle pieces in the way done.
Era una exelente banda 😢
Superb
Flawless!
stunning
Beautiful!

Ann was a goddess at that time.
Great stuff, but the lead was cut short.. ughhh.. I guess that's why we have a 2:43 song.. LOL. 😞
OH HELL YES!
PAGA International Blackswan 2021
Awesome! Roger do you still have all of your guitars from this time?
Nope :-)
Se ve tan guapa siendo delgada! 😍
una hermosura, y la forma como viste en los 70, una maravilla, ya entiendo a los hermanos Fisher
Understand 🪄🎩
Im from the UK
Do you know what show this was?
Was it part of old grey whistle?

I dont like this version with all Anns interjectiions. I prefer the original.
