I love that you are using Nova Color, I just recently invested in a bunch of their colors, and I am loving them.
Also, it is great to see how well they work with the Gel plate. You have some beautiful stencils.
Have you done a followup video on how you used some of your papers? I loved making my gel prints but then struggled to know how to use them.

New to your channel. Are you allowing the paints to dry between layers? Just wondering? Tfs.
Hi Karen, so glad you're here! and yes I'm letting the layers dry. I use a heat took/hair dryer to dry. I don't use a heat tool on my gel plate.
Which paints are you using?
Hey... it really seems addictive !!!
Could you please tell me what is the pinkish layer you spread last, before you “lift” all patterns that are still on the plate ? For some reasons, it seems that it cleans everything up... which doesn't happen with your more colored precedent layers.
I'm not sure I express myself well enough, English isn't my native language. But I guess you'll actually see what I mean with this peculiar yellowish/pinkish thicker last layer.

the reason that light layer cleaned up everything is that I let the layers underneath dry first and then used the beige-ish color to clean up. The key is to let the layers dry on your plate and then no matter what color it will pick it up. I just use a light color because it show all the color and pattern I'm picking up.

I'm starting again with art (just retired)... I used to do larger abstract oil/acrylic painting in a “former life”... and I have a good feeling with the mixed-media approach... especially it can be done in a much smaller space.
