    I will say the reset and level check spells are not just there for conflicts with other mods, they help remedy some bugs that you may experience, when using madd leveler I experienced two of these, one what late game when I was extremely wealthy and fast leveling with trainers the mod sometimes misses trait increases if you are leveling too fast, and two is that if you have an attribute drained and need to restore it it will not always return to the appropriate mod level if that is higher than 100.

    Glad to see MADD getting some love. I found the uncapper plugins risk getting a little too strong later in a playthrough, but with or without uncapping, the mod's a huge improvement to the leveling system IMHO. I used a mod for automatic attribute leveling on Oblivion, so I got excited when I found it, myself. Love that it doesn't need MWSE and worked great on OpenMW.

    I love Natural Character Growth and Decay and don't think I'll ever go back to vanilla leveling. I even edit the skill floor limits to allow skills to decay down to 1. I just need that decay to slow down my power gains. I will admit though, punching mudcrabs until my hand-to-hand is 4095 does sound intriguing.

    PS you dont need to worry about those spells unless using another mod that conflicts with the changes made is making implies that the Morrowind code patch isn't already conflicting/colliding.
    From what I'm reading everywhere the MCP mod does have an issue where you gotta basically turn off the fix for restoring fortified/drained skills. Seemingly may need to turn off the fix for training with fortified/drained skills too. This may just be exclusive to openmw users but I'm still working on the scripts and trying to find where everything is.
    Im also gonna have to go in and force level or find a way to check and troubleshoot it all to make sure I don't brick my character later on when I do hit over level 100 naturally on any given skill.
    Im still here tinkering since my last comment lmao just trying to make sure that logically everything makes sense so that it just works straight forward wise without adding in headache or doing all this weird fortify nonsense. MCP already does what I need short of fixing leveling >

    Madleveler was alright (for its time). But nowadays NCGDMW (Lua Edition) is just a better option(If you are using OpenMW, you should) More configuration options, such as; magicka based spell progression (no more spamming low cost spells), state based hp (you can freely level an attribute other than endurance at the start), skill decay, uncapped attributes. And no esp spam

      It takes work.
      I'm currently playing Morrowind GOTY edition on Xbox series X (I have an original disk).
      To get +4/+5 you'd have to level up skill(s) in a 'particular' attribute category (even miscellaneous skills count) 8-10 times 'before' leveling up.
      Example: 5 increases to Axe (str) & Blunt (str) equals the same as 10 increases in Long Blade (strength).
      I literally have a tally chart (this run) to keep track so I get +5 in three attributes per level up (because I'm that autistic).
      Ps: Also swimming around Seyda Neen whilst punching fish as they nibble at my toes (so I can get +5 Speed per level up) is really funny to me 😂

    • @Ploulaf
      @Ploulaf Рік тому

      you have to increase a skill 10 times.
      That's why min-maxing in this game is tedious as hell, but once you're aware of it you just can't play the game normally anymore.
      The thing is to put in Major and Minor the skills that you won't actually use a lot because they're only here to get your level going once you have 5 at the 3 attributes you want.

    Any chance youd consider making an update video to this?
    I found a ton of conflicting info between the mods documentation, your statements, and how ppl say the mod is supposed to work. Im currently in the process of trying to make any kind of sense of how I'm supposed to set the mod up properly as I've never had to install let alone use the TES construction set software before and I'm seemingly required to do this if I want to make sure the mod is working as intended as the mods descriptions/info is sort of broken I believe due to english not being the creators first language it seems.
    I feel like if the documentation was better or I wasn't questioning your understanding of how the mod/install works based on the inconsistencies I've noticed I wouldn't need to be touching TESCS to verify whats even going on here :(
    Extra details if they help:
    A quick example of one of the info inconsistencies I mentioned would be that you said the esp/mods are modular and so you only need to activate one at a time not all or nothing.
    However the documenation for the mod states you want to activate and not modify the base esp file, then add on the others as to your liking which means if not for incompatibilities using all the files or none would actually be one of the recommendations from the mods author. At the very least my understanding is you want at minimum 2 not 1 of these enabled.
    Another example that has me way more confused on how to set up this mod is that you say the quest cap remover plugin makes it so your quest rewards can contribute towards your level up. However the documentation in the mod states that it is actually used so that the level/stat caps wont lock you out of your quest reward. It doesn't say anything about it having any sort of interaction with the way leveling works otherwise.
    Sorry if that was a lot of text I'm usually wordy and tried to shorten this as best I could with the time available to me.

      Oh also the modd isnt OpenMW compatible yet as I mentioned before there's a big potential issue and so if you check the notes on mlox/plox it says the mod is not fully functional on openmw atm and points out the issue I mentioned.
      Sorry hope I'm not being overbearing I just really liked the sound of this mod and now I've basically had to set aside a mountain of time to make any kinda sense of this if I still wanna use it. Wish me luck yall.

    There's a second, easier method. If you add a mod which adds +5 to attribute per single skill raise, you don't have to worry about all this efficient leveling at all. You focus on a skill? Boom, you get +5, no issues. It may make the game a bit easier, though imo it just eliminates very tedious micro.

    • @shadowmystery5613
      @shadowmystery5613 Рік тому

      I think though the game grows rather stale fast when the majority if your stats are maxed by like level 30. I'd rather have some other shit changed like what MADD leveler does, maybe in conjunction with enchantment system changes so some enchantments are actually worthwile without abusing the alchemy system to create broken items. It doesn't feel very immersive to play a mage of thief with 100 Strength just to log around loot and equipment 😆
      Even the original developpers seemed to have thought about that, if you look at Guild Advancement Requirements you'll see Skills >>> Attributes, 35 in the 2 favored attributes is the most you'll ever gonna need.

    • @bjorntrollgesicht1144
      @bjorntrollgesicht1144 Рік тому

      @@shadowmystery5613 yeah, the characters weren't supposed to be optimized by design. It's not Skyrim, but a normal crpg like let's say Baldur's Gate. If you do want to optimize, you have go through some ridiculously tedious shit though, like not setting up your primarily used skills as primary skills which slows down progression and turns the game grindy. The +5 solves that problem, but yeah- I agree it's a trade off. Plus if you're an advanced player, your high level character will end up broken anyway, so it's probably just OCD aesthetic of seeing that pretty 100 and knowing, you did things e f f i c i e n t l y for us corporate thugs.

    • @shadowmystery5613
      @shadowmystery5613 Рік тому

      @@bjorntrollgesicht1144 And that's why I like mods, I can make the game as hard as I want or optimise stuff that just doesn't feel right. I currently did a playthrough with iskillmult set to to 5 or all increases but that honestly became boring. Sure I still can die because I set the difficulty slider all the way to the right, but ultimately with many attributes almost maxed it just doesn't feel enjoyable. Instead I'd have now to grind skills just to fulfill guild advancement requisits 😆
      Daggerfall feels better in this regard, you never had to max attributes exept Intelligence (Casting Cost is fixed at 5 Magicka and the necessary endgame spells are expensive as fuck - predominantly Spell Absorbtion/Reflection) and you get 6 points on level up you can stick where you like them. I'd just recommend mods or settings unrandomizing stat gain and HP gain rolls to fixe values because that random point gain can trigger OCD^^
      So even if you leave Endurance at 60 Points upon character generation you still get way enough HP to survive without stat crunching. Nice casual feeling if you just wanna care about questing and dungeon raids. But even Daggerfall is broken as fuck, since the magic spell system takes your level into account and scales that up, so a spell doing 5 damage on level 1 will do 100 damage on level 20 😂 Which causes funny issues like Disease healing or opening spells not being worthwhile on lower levels (yep, you guessed it, you can tie chance to your level), but increasing chance makes them too expensive to cast and that game doesn't have Magicka Potions, and if you rest until your Magicka is refilled you can fail quests because your time runs out or you have to resort to save scumming.
      But when you know what you're doing you'll have a pleasant experience of just playing which is why I always return back to Daggerfall

    • @bjorntrollgesicht1144
      @bjorntrollgesicht1144 Рік тому

      @@shadowmystery5613 Never played DF much, the DOS tediousness scares me off tbh. Plus I don't like time limits in quests, I prefer just doing things my way. I like Morrowind for that- and I like to start spicy, with lvl 1 Bloodmoon. There a level up is a godsend every time, so you want to make it significant. I'm currently playing with a +5 Altmer girl, but all my used skills are not marked as major, so I level up when I want. Tbh my favorite style is always ultra low endurance and ultra high damage output. So you can hunt everything, but everything can also hunt you. This forces you to adapt and think and adds mechanics not intended for the original game. I end up jumping around, herding and kiting, timing blows and spells and not getting caught in the exchange, sneaking and escaping. And lots of reloads, lol.

      @@bjorntrollgesicht1144 Daggerfall got remastered in Unity Engine, and that was badly necessary as the name "Buggerfall" wasn't created without a reason. It's now playable without DoS-Box, highly modifyable and got some cluster fuck design flaws eliminated. Although I haven't installed the most recent version I've heard you can actually decide how big dungeons are generated now. Not that big dungeons are a problem itself, but finding quest items in some dungeons was just annoying beyond reason because of hidden doors or switched that control gates several miles away, I had sometimes to use the console because I just wasn't able to find the hidden section in dungeons where the quest target spawned 🤣 But now it's quite playable, I'd only get a walk through for the main quest dungeons because they're static and not procedurally generated, especially Castle Sentinel is just an unlogic mess annoying to no end because the switches have to be pressed in a specific order to finish the dungeon/quest 😆
      The time limits are actually irrelevant to some extend, they're actually pretty generous and with mods that regenerate Magicka you don't need to rest as much, because you can now keep healing things like Fatigue/Stamina, which would only regenerate on resting, and if you run out of Fatigue you die 😂 (The Daggerfall Hero must have some kind of heart disease or something when he dies out of breath in the middle of town)
