To add, there is one legend about this blade shared by Torasa Aram when sold to the Artifact Museum. Whether or not it is true, is up to you.
"Legend has it that a nobleman sank his fortune into creating a blade of supreme power. Two smiths on opposite ends of Tamriel created each half of the blade, unaware of the other, with the hope that no one man, save the owner of the blade, would know its true power. Unfortunately, the smiths were not given enough instruction, and created halves with enchantments that completely negated each other"
In my opinion, this only adds to the mystery and alure of this artifact as is neither confirmed nor referenced in any other game. Who commissioned it? Who were the smiths? Is she even telling the truth? That's for you, the player, to decide...
Don't recall where I read it, but I heard the bipolar blade is intentionally useless so you can sell it to the Museum of Artefacts as part of the main quest.
I don't know if I read it anywhere but that's what I thought right away while playing the game. I was rather unimpressed with the whole idea and its execution honestly
Good old times
The Morrowind DLC had some of the most unqiue weapons. The BiPolar blade comes on 2nd place for me because nothing can beat the Severd Nord Leg)))
Thanks for the great content Coffee love your vids)
Enemies in town when hit with the bipolar blade : " HELP! IM BEING OPPRESSED! "
The weapon design and enchantment effect are textbook Sheogorath
Yes they are
1:41 The guy in the background is literally me when there is more than one task needs completing at the same time
What is your favorite off the beaten path artifact in Morrowind? The BiPolar blade is definitely up there for me. Such a cool design!
I don't know about artifact , but Illkurok is cool for beginners and vets
Edit : or have you covered Staff of Hasedoki
?
Is mournhold in a dlc?

@@davidpa9266 good one 👍🏼👍🏼
When you place the sword on display in the museum and talk about it you do get some lore on what the bipolar blade is and why it is the way it is.
Two blacksmiths were told to make one half of a blade each without working together and then wield both the halves together when finished, the intention was to make a weapon with an absurd combination of effects no one would think of and thus win battles, but because the blacksmiths didn't know what the other was going for, they wound up making complete opposites and so the blade became a glorified display piece.
Thank you! I was pretty sure there was some lore behind it.
The Daedric Face of God is a tough one to get and looks awesome.
I think my favorite thing with tes3 quests is how different some of them feel, just like some different cells do. You can sense that someone was trying something different, or trying to push the engine.
The bi polar blade is the best two handed sword against humanoids. When u strike a person they will get mad and walk away without attacking you so u can continuously chop that person down until their dead.
If you are outside of towns that is.
Love the channel! Definitely an ES3 play through in my future
Honestly i wish they had put in a two handed daedric sword like the one the dark elf is holding on the box cover, it is a daedric shortsword but two handed, I like the shortsword.
Love your videos man. Morrowind is my favorite game and i'm still discovering things in it thank's to you
Bro just keeps on going with the videos. Thank you
Finally. Was waiting so looong ❤
Morrowind content creators need to protected at all costs. Subbed.
Love your videos, your passion for Morrowind is infectious.
Thanks for the great videos!
imho i dont think its a bug, it might be another nod to being bi polar with attacking someone and calming them at the same time.
This is one of my favourite swords thank you for making this video
always comfy when you upload bro
He is back at it boys and girls!
Beautiful upload
Gives a whole new meaning to "im about to unleash my bipolar on you"
Hey coffee, super appreciate all the amazingly informative and helpful guides/videos. Wondering if you've covered the topic of vampires vs werewolves in the game yet or if you plan to soon. I would really love to hear your coverage of said topic as I usually wind up hitting that crossroad in all my elder scrolls playthroughs.
Honestly I got a ad for I believe bi-polar on a video about the bi-polar blade
Love this guy's videos
I have always wanted to figure out a Stendarr’s Hammer build in this game. The roll play idea of lugging a massive hammer around and swinging it so hard it both tires you out (drain fatigue effect) and almost breaks (low item health) but you do so much damage with each swing really cracks me up.
Have you seen that video where the guys hits the heart with a command spell, then returns to town and the heart follows him, then he arms two NPCs with Keening and Sunder and they kill the heart?
Even the blades shape is split in two different profiles
Almost thought we were out of artifact content... This for sure isn;'t a weapon I see often if at all
I think further evidence of it being Sheogorath's artifact is it's name, BiPolar, I hope I don't need to explain why that makes since for the mad god.
Your love for Morrowind is endearing
Hey coffee, do you have any mod installation tutorials? I’m a noob at modding and need assistance
That's actually my favorite weapon of the entire game! I hope we can see it again in future elder scrolls
You could use a mod for magical icons, such as "magical icons replacer". It's really useful since vanilla icons are such an eyesore and unpractical
And that last video wasn't even an actual capital a Artifact. It doesn't have a unique appearance.
It would be amazing if that mod to reforge the blade had a very random small chance of a visit or a message of some sort from Sheogorath when using it or having it in your inventory after it was forged where he yells at you for ruining his fun. May not be cannon but it would be hilarious.
Is it possible to mod it to cause Frenzy on strike and calm on touch?
i know this is a meme at this point, but i do think the bipolar blade was intended by the developers. along with ur great informative video, it seems to me that it is of the mad god; it calms ur enemy and drives U mad !
Can you make a video which basic mods and how to install? When I see Nexus Mods it is basically crazy time consuming to go through and decide...
That bipolsr blade really reminds me of a certain deed between vivec and mogal baal....
I could've sworn I read some lore piece somewhere inside the game about how the BiPolar Blade was created when a noble made two different people create half of a weapon.
I always used this blade to fight bipolar bears...
We are so back!
Is there a conjuration build ?
Do you consider starting Oblivion "How to X class" series?
It does "work", order of operations...
Have had some odd side effects with personal enchantments. In short, because it is the first one subsequent spell "overrides" when it resolves.
They go agro, then calm... for 15 seconds.
I tried to make a ring with perm bow & sword.
Playing legit, and didn't intend on having a random summoned sword on a stealth archer.
If I knew about the operation stack beforehand, i would've had a fkn free bound bow...
Also there is an argonian head in vivec_telvanni in wasteworks in lizards head 😅😅

I've never seen this before
6:26 so a 4 in 6, 3 in 6, and 1 in 6 chance?
You should really stream on twitch
I never actually equipped it.
No lore about it? I thought there was lore about it. Something about a rich merchant hiring two different master smith's to make him a sword and they did half each without knowing what the other was going to do. I think a book about artifacts in the artifact museum or maybe if you ask the npc in the museum about it.
It's been a while since I played morrowind but I have a vague memory about it. Or did I just dream it or something
Edit: "Legend has it that a nobleman sank his fortune into creating a blade of supreme power. Two smiths on opposite ends of Tamriel created each half of the blade, unaware of the other, with the hope that no one man, save the owner of the blade, would know its true power. Unfortunately, the smiths were not given enough instruction, and created halves with enchantments that completely negated each other. -- Torasa Aram, Museum of Artifacts"
Or did you just mean no lore to support a theory about sheogoraphs influence instead of no lore about the blade itself?
There IS the lore behind BiPolar Blade. You can find it in Museum of Artifacts catalagoue. In it, it says that Bipolar Blade was created by two smiths, who worked on both parts of the blade separately. They used enchantments which canceled each other out, that's how the blade came to be!
FREE BEER Now that i have your atention is anyone here a modder? I have a request...mod fargoth so that he carries full daedric armor instead of his commoner clothing 😂
I wish you'd play without questing record yourself play
It’s. All. Pointless. Same bruh
The only canonically female blade in Elder Scrolls.
(Someone was going to say it, might as well be me.)
The blade is clearly Bi-Sexual
Clicking women
Or hear me out; Vivec. Its a reference to Vivec.
what an ugly sword xD
