This is amazing. If you've always loved the LOST IN SPACE themes- especially the 2nd- you're probably melted onto the floor as I am now! NOTE PERFECT!!!!
How do I describe how the second theme with the count down speaks to me as a child and now still. That count down just sends me to a world of families and possibility and desperation of survival.
Really? He's more like J. P. Sousa and Wagner (use of leitmotif)... most of his music are basically marches. He's certainly very good and popular, but another Beethoven? Bach? Hardly. (PS: It's Tchaikovsky.)
The really funny thing is that the first theme, and the opening cartoons, are very humorous, but the show as played as serious. The second them is a serious action-adventure them, but the show was played up big for comedy! :-D
OMG, this brought tears to my eyes. This TV show was my favorite growing up! I loved it so much, and still love watching the reruns. But listening to this band (orchestra) play the 2 intro songs it’s amazing!!! Thank you!!!
I say the first was best for the series. The second one does not sound like original and real LOST IN SPACE, but some other too far out television show that is not as good as one and two..
I love the trombones on the 2nd one gives it that Ummmmfff sounds so strong and good loved the show as a kid and second song was my all time favorite 👍👍👍🎶🎶🎶
I figure the second theme was geared to mesh with American "general knowledge" at the time. 2:27 reminds me of rock-and-roll circa 1960, and the "countdown" is surely a nod to the progress of manned spaceflight happening around the time "Lost in Space" originally aired.
I ALWAYS remembered the third season's theme as THE theme when I watched it when I was a kid. Just a few years ago my wife and I rewatched the whole series, and I was confounded to hear that first theme...BLECH. WILLIAMS!!!!!!!!! That 'second' theme made me a fan. Jaws, CE3K and Star Wars cemented it beyond breaking.

Both themes were in my opinion spot on. The first does sound a bit more complex then the second. The second definitely sounds more like a John Williams composition. It is very cool to find out that my childhood has the Williams sound around as I had no idea he did these themes. I thought my first experience hearing his music was 1977 and Star Wars. In a few months we get to go see him perform live. I'm like a little kid with excitement waiting for that day to come around 😊
I was born in 87 and had seen every episode of lost in space by 97. I will always prefer the second theme, and the new netflix show is quite good. That is all.
02:02 that crescendo was just as it should be. remember that the original was recorded by seasoned movie/TV session orchestral musicians with experience going all the way back to the 1930s. add to that after the original was reordered it was mixed and mastered.
What fun versions of the originals. Well done ladies and gentlemen and of course the new series of Lost in Space starts in April - but will they use any of John's great music - I hope so.
Johnny Williams.......... the greatest composer of all time !!! Such fantastic scores and themes !!!
John Williams is a music genius!
first theme, nice. second theme, got goosebumps
Back in the days when TV Shows had great quality content even with the music!!!
How many folks claim not to like "classical" music yet swing right along to these astonishing themes? :)
Brings back childhood memories from 1st grade.
The brass parts in these themes are quintessential John Williams... can totally hear his style
Absolutely BRILLIANT !!!!!
they were lost in space, but they were magnificent stars to us.
John Williams so much talent-
and how can you not love real musical instruments and and orchestra
This is amazing. If you've always loved the LOST IN SPACE themes- especially the 2nd- you're probably melted onto the floor as I am now! NOTE PERFECT!!!!
This is definitely the most accurate cover I have ever heard!
I would always say the season 3 theme song and the count down was the coolest and they were aboard the Jupiter 2 a lot more..
How do I describe how the second theme with the count down speaks to me as a child and now still. That count down just sends me to a world of families and possibility and desperation of survival.
@@danielwood719 I love the countdown. These guys nailed it!!
The conductor was just rocking out on season 3 theme. 👍🏼😁
John Williams needs do down in history as a phenomenal composer with Beethoven, Bach, and Tsakovski...(sp?)..
Such an amazing composer.

Nice performance. Love the show
Bravo!!! That 2nd version is spectacular!
Thanks for the spectacular performance of the Lost In Space themes! And the use of a Theramin!!!
Two of the greatest themes ever, when the second theme plays i feel like i'm airborn!
Tony Bentley
Little did you know that 10 years later, John Williams would define the Star Wars universe.
Nice homage that this theme is incorporated into the Netflix revival of the TV series👍

This sounds Amazing especially for live!
Fantastic
I have always liked the second theme better,
I say the first was best for the series.
The second one does not sound like original and real LOST IN SPACE, but some other too far out television show that is not as good as one and two..
It's way worse
What is way worse?
Not the original.
Second theme will always be better.
No, that one was never better to begin with.
Only "different."
The second title theme is "way worse."
I love the trombones on the 2nd one gives it that Ummmmfff sounds so strong and good loved the show as a kid and second song was my all time favorite 👍👍👍🎶🎶🎶
The 2nd theme song is so cool and uplifting big time, love it!

The 1st theme is cool, but the second one is just epic.
I think the first was overall best.
@@jimbotc2000 I think the first is more musically complex, which means that the second is catchier. The second to me is more recognizably Williams.
Second theme, classic John Williams (French Horns)
The first is always best, plus it sounds more like real LOST IN SPACE.

Fond memories from long ago, thank you for uploading this!
I really appreciate this. I always wondered how the sounds of TV themes were mastered. Thanks a million. I enjoyed watching this.
and the crowd loves it! thanks! :)
A really nice standing ovation !!!!!
great, I always like the 2nd one much better
dale carney: Me too!
Me three!
Four. The horn solo is awesome.
It's more adventuresome and epic sounding.
No, I like the original (first) better.
It is LOST IN SPACE.
Fantastic -- wish I was there to see and hear this live!
Superb and really enjoyable!!!!!
Nailed this!!
GREAT!!!! GAVE ME GOOSEBUMPS!!!!!!
Outstanding!
Love this tune.😁👍.
Trumpet and drums !
took me back to my happy childhood years! thank you so much! you guys did an amazing job !!
Wow, well done you guys. You captured all of the magic of BOTH themes.
INCREDIBLE
That was SO cool!

That was fun! Thanks for sharing this! :)
Thank you so much for playing this (I had a massive crush on Angela Cartwright)
What a lovely moment
Quando criança, eu tinha um encontro com essa trilha sonora todas as segundas e quintas pela manhã. Que saudade dessa época !@!@

excellent
I prefer the season three theme, it expresses not just a sense of adventure but a sense of wonder as well.
nice that it included the later seasons theme which is one my favorites
Veio lágrimas nos olhos !! ! !! E foram só três temporadas.
Fantastic
Increible !!
Lo máximo 🙌
Beautiful.
OMG memories!!!!

Very good. I like how they added more drums to the second theme.
This is awesome love this show!!
They are very good.
Wow! Is this cool or what? This is just amazingly amazing.

The accuracy in the parts is spectacular... Are there actual scores available, or does someone have an amazing ear and transcribed this for the group?
Loved It !!!!
Adorei a energia e o tempo, fora aquele saboroso theremin.
Outa this world!
Like the 2nd season rock n roll feel in the mid section
BRAVO!
Bravo!!!
Great! Great! Grrrrrreat!
I LOVE THE SECOND ONE BETTER!!!

Yes the closing credits has the theme!
wezix Yes indeed but a very poor version of it.
0152 to end......great !!!!
awsome
YESSSSS
1st: the incredibles movie
2nd: Lost in space
Danger, Will robinsons
Sometimes I think the two themes were the best part of that show.
geniales
Check out the version by the Cincinnati Pops - just as amazing
