With me turning 60 in 2025... my inner kid still gets excited for the old TV SyFy shows when I hear their theme music. Awesome performance, so thank you
Both versions of Lost in Space were the best. I never realized how great that music was. Runner-up to Battlestar Galactica. But Buck Rogers’s and Space 1999 seemed to get a little cheated here.
@@ninjabearpress2574 Was that what it was? I thought it said Space1999. Yeah, it seemed almost unrecognizable. It should have been a 10-minute medley, not 5.
I’m 63 also military kid and lots of TV shows I have seen whilst living abroad especially LOST in space when we were living in Turkey 🇹🇷 Bravo Cincinnati Pops God Bless & God speed!!! Defensor fortis Semper Supra
I have heard that John Mrris Russell is a huge "Lost In Space" fan. This is shown when he conducts both theme songs for that show! Of course, anyone who is a fan of John Williams also probably likes the theme songs he wrote!
The orchestra & the conductor are amazing 👏 👏👏 such a bold puncy & polished sound , just as good as the originals ....... I was reminded of all my childhood t. V.sci - fi memories ..... Thankyou ❤❤
Dr Who was amazing, and Galactica as well, Lost in Space was terrific. The epic part in Galactica, 1:19, always gives me the chills!! And Dr Who as well! Thank you!! I loved them all!! Buck Rogers and Space: 1999!! Wow!! Bravoooo!!!
I honestly think that collaborative music for the regalement of others is one of the most civilised things humans do. And, as the lead guitarist and singer of a rock band for nearly 20 years, I can also say it's one of the most enjoyable.
Can anyone tell me from the orchestra how much the average pay for a musician in an orchestra is? It’s just wonderful hear and listening to you all. Thank you and 3 cheers to the tuba payer belting out that great foundation
A better version of the audio is available on the Cincinnati Pops album Voyage, which you can stream for free on Spotify: spoti.fi/2lA83rY Voyage is also available on Apple Music, Primephonic, and Amazon Music. Tracks 8-13 make up the entire Spaced Out! medley.
The female with the tied-back hair that can first be seen at 23 seconds in looks like she's really into the music! She has talent, looks, and brains! The whole package!
Lost in Space Season 3 is either in the wring key here (Ab), or the original was sped up by 12.25% to make it sound in Bb lol. I learned it on French Horn in high school in Bb.
That was a really good set of tunes, so pleased to see two UK classics included. The rendition of Space 1999 was really good, but this one, by a group of AMATEURS (if I may use the Americanism), "smahes it out of the park": ua-cam.com/video/RQ8pqDNDM-s/v-deo.html

Anyone else feel like a kid again?
I love how he bookends the whole performance with the two best themes from the cinema’s greatest composer: Johnny Williams for Lost in Space!
‘Johnny’ lol
The last Lost In Space will always be the most epic intro….EVER
Both of them.

@@Andrew-13579 Who got cheated was Gerry Anderson, I like the theme from UFO.

@@Andrew-13579 Oh they played the Space: 1999 theme, I wish they'd added this.

There's NOTHING as wonderful as hearing these "big but still small due to orc. budgets" TV themes played by a full-on symphony orchestra! THANKS
61 year old. Wow thank you! Many favorite shows here and great music!!!
I can’t believe this is John Williams! Once you hear it’s so obvious!!
Replaying that Lost in Space theme in my head, I naturally segue into Star Wars themes. There must be some commonality there.
DANG! I remember, and love ALL of these. "Battlestar Galactica" especially still is so awesome. And who can forget "Lost in Space" season 3? WOW!
1:03
Lost in Space theme is one of the moust beautifull I ever heard!
The season 3 theme at the end - I was hoping the horns would raise their horns for the solo
I actually danced in my room, headphones on, to Buck Rogers. Dear lord.
me too
Lots of us did! Puts a spring into your step no matter what you're doing.
So say WE all!
For me,"Battlestar Galactica".

For some reason I got a chill when the violins kicked in during the Buck Rogers theme...
Who else is here for the French horns from the Lost in Space theme from season 3?
4:02. I still get excited when I hear this.

Not John but Johnny Williams. A real jazzer . 😁
Wonder how many symphony orchestras have a theremin player?
Wow lost in space, blows them out of the water.
Not often that you go to the symphony and hear the Buck Rogers theme...
Like the sci-fi or not the music is awesome, and this is just more proof there's very little a full symphony can't do.
Biddy-Biddy-Biddy, but GOOD, Buck!
Lost In Space Is My Favorite💥💥
My favorite song is Lost in space .
BRAVO! That third season Lost In Space theme is my very favorite, and nobody does it justice like the Cincinnati Pops!
3:00 Me salivating over Col. Wilma Deering right now.🤤😍💞

very cool. they have a THEREMIN.
Yeah and I loved it! But it was so hard to find haha
Dear Lord, GOT THE CHILLS, Thank You So Very Much For Posting This 🙏
The last song brings back the happiest memories of my childhood ------> 4:02
Wow! What a magnificent rendition of LIS season 3 theme!
That was the BEST version of Lost In Space.

Lots of memories, remember being young and looking at the stars wondering if we’d be living out there.
Lost in space wins my heart, hands down.
Lost in space the best
I'd love to hear all of "Johnny Williams" theme songs, from Land of the Giants and Time Tunnel in this mix.
I honestly think that collaborative music for the regalement of others is one of the most civilised things humans do. And, as the lead guitarist and singer of a rock band for nearly 20 years, I can also say it's one of the most enjoyable.
We are blessed here in Cincinnati
Thanks, that brings back a lot of good memories. I think I am going to watch my favorite episodes from each of those shows.
Wow. What memories. Felt as a kid again.
Cincinnati Pops and Maestro John Morris Russel are the best!
I love how you began with LIS! Thanks for uploading!
Chills listening to some of my favorite sci-fi tv themes... bravo to the conductor and all the talented musicians in the orchestra!
I was kind of hoping they'd cover the second version of the 'Space 1999' theme, but I'm still glad they covered the original.
Love both of these TV themselves even to this day…along with the Jonny Quest theme.
Metv toons: you get one classic adventure cartoon: Johnny Quest and that's it.😮😮😮😂
1:03 Battlestar Galactica
My favourite part, is in 1:19, that epic entrance always gives me the chills!!

Fantástico !
GREAT JOB!!
I love TV theme song. Shame they don't do it anymore.

FANTÁSTICO!!!!!!!!
I wish the audio was better. But I'm a fan of all of these!

Someone didn't balance the cameras. In some shots their jackets look red and in others they're orange.
BUCK ROGERS NO SÉCULO VIENTE E CINCO!

Guy behind the black haired woman is creepy. Seems to really like her. LOL
A poor rendition of Battlestar Galactica. It was way too rushed among other faults.
Yeah, it seems like this performance was weighted towards Lost in Space. But Lost in Space sounded great!
