My mom and I just made this for dinner with frozen cauliflower instead of fresh. We had to swerve it out a lot in a cloth but other than that it held together really well while cooking 👍🏻

I just started watching your videos an hour ago and I love your production.. I've done a cauliflower crust pizza and what works amazingly is cooking the riced cauliflower in a pan for 10 mins on low- medium heat (no oil needed) tossing it now & again. Dries out perfectly. I learned this by trial & error, cauliflower is a delicate flower lol

You were totally right about the store -bought “riced” cauliflower. I tried it. It didn’t work. The store-bought riced cauliflower is great for other purposes, such as making for a wonderful stir fry, but it’s nowhere near fine enough for this.

That's a great tip about the consistency of the cauliflower. I made a pizza yesterday using frozen cauliflower rice and it was ok but now I know why it wasnt so cohesive. The grains were too big so I think I might reduce them first in the processor. Love the look of this cheese sandwich.

I made the cauliflower bagel with store bought cauliflower rice. You are right, the grains are really big, and I had a hard time forming them into shape, and couldn't poke a hole in the middle without collapsing it. I found using an additional egg helps a little bit, but they did taste very good. If you can tweak the recipe to work with store bought cauliflower rice, that would be great.

You can bind this better with some coconut flour and almond flour (more of the latter). That way it won't be so fragile. And it is still keto.

Another reason not to use frozen cauliflower is that it retains too much moisture unlike fresh cauliflower. So a good noted? When it comes to Frozen cauliflower, and love your videos!

  • @richardstones1852

This looks fantastic! Thank you. I use the store-riced cauliflower quite a bit (for cauliflower fried rice or pizza dough, etc.). But whether you use that, or your rice your own, I would recommend draining the moisture really well in a nut-juice bag or kitchen towel before combining your ingredients. I think I might also add a small amount of a hard cheese (Parmesan, or maybe Asiago) to the mixture. That might make the "bread" hold together a little better? But thank you for this awesome recipe!

Someone else used a tea cloth to get out the moisture, then it was baked first, then fried with the cheese. Also helps with the patty not falling apart.

I made it one of them came out nice and the others were all messy it is so good it needed extra salt and I think you really need a dip like a almost like a marinara sauce to go with it or tomato soup but I would like to experiment with this more! Thank you because I think the ideas using cauliflower flour is endless

Hi Dani! thank you so much for working so hard to make great videos I have been changing my life around losing weight (down 75 pound so far!) and trying to eat better your channel give me great ideas so I do not have to worry about being bored with the same old diet foods! I have a little boy he is 7 years old and Super Duper Picky! but he has actually started experimenting with a few different foods here lately I am crossing my fingers he will grow out of being a pick eater. Yesterday I was at the store and thought what if you could make a broccoli crust?!?! so I googled it and sure enough some has already tried it! maybe you could make a video with a Broccoli Crust?!...I feel like people need to know about it lol the crust stays together so good too! and it tasted Amazing! I think thinking of making this grilled cheese today! :)
I will wrap up the long comment here and say thanks again for all your hard work! I hope you and your family have a wonderful weekend! - Amie

I loved making this recipe, because of the fiber in the cauliflower, it is so much more satisfying and filling than regular white bread. I ate a whole sandwich like the size of the one you made and I was stuffed. If you run the cauliflower through the processor and stock up the freezer it can also make life easier to reach in and grab what you need for recipes. Beautiful recipe as always and thumbs up.

Healthy Recipe Channel I was just wondering how I could make this easier! What about recipes where you need to squeeze the water out of the cauliflower? Could you freeze it as rice after you squeeze the water out to save for future recipes or do you think it would be better to freeze before that?

If you let the cauliflower sit for 10-20 mins after ricing it, put it in a towel and squeeze the water out and continue with your recipe. It holds together SOOO much better! Not fragile.

Just thought and drain the water from the bag of cauliflower and give it a quick pulse in the food processor to make it more fine. I can say one thing that I love cauliflower but the price of a head of cauliflower is much higher than a bag of frozen riced cauliflower which can be used for almost anything.
